Excellent food, not so pleasant atmosphere…read more We stopped at Liza's of Troy for breakfast in Feb 2025 based on good reviews and appealing food pics. The order was taken at the register and then brought to our table. The food tasted great and was served quickly! All the dishes had a beautiful presentation! Coffee was a French press and was really good! The place had no cream or sugar for the coffee. Also there were no salt and pepper shakers on any table. When I asked for some salt they gave me a plastic sauce cap with some salt on the bottom to take it with my fingers. It was quite weird. For some reason "Butternut Squash Bowl" had only one egg while all other breakfast items had two. Not sure why this one was special. The real problem however was the smell. The very first impression we got upon entering was a strong smell of fried bacon and other foods. It was like standing next to a stove because the space is fully open, with no divider between the sitting area and the kitchen. In such a setup you need a strong hood exhaust but that in turn would make a lot of noise. Anyway, instead of taking our time enjoying the breakfast and great coffee we had to finish it asap and escape to prevent our jackets absorbing the smell :( We are giving Liza's of Troy 4 stars is it got 5+ on the food and coffee and 3 on the interior and atmosphere. Food ordered Butternut Squash Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Had to order additional egg though. Breakfast Bowl - excellent and nicely presented. Big Betty Breakfast Sandwich - delicious.

Acai bowls are also great. I have tried both iced and hot coffees as well as matcha. They are solid but nothing too stand out in terms of drinks. Staff is always friendly and it's a nice place to meet up, usually adequate seating whenever we have been there. Would definitely recommend. The only reason it did not get five stars is the somewhat limited menu.

Ordered the BrEGGY X Sammy Local Buns + 2 Farm Eggys + White Cheddar + Avocado + Pesto+ Pink Salt The "local bun" was a version of a common white blah hamburger roll. Toasting was not an option, or it was not offered. The "Sammy" did not taste good because the eggs had bits of shell, the avocado was very soft, and the pesto made the roll soggy. Did not taste the salt, and pepper would have improved the flavor. Ate only half. Ambiance: 2 stars Seating: Mostly high top tables with metal chairs Few low round wooden tables with childlike stools (photo) A long concrete bench along one wall (photo) --One look and I regretted not ordering takeout. Service: 3 stars Not helpful or friendly

This spot is a great quick stop for mornings…read more My wife and I stopped in a few days ago and ordered a smoothie bowl, a bagel, a smoothie, and a matcha. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. The matcha was absolutely delicious and clearly made with care -- prepared in a proper bowl and whisked with a bamboo whisk. I asked for a bit of honey, which really pulled the entire experience together. Honestly, I'd give this place a 5/5 based on the matcha alone. The smoothie bowl (I go the one that has banana, peanut butter, honey, and some other toppings) was great overall, though I did have one small complaint: there were a few large chunks of ice mixed in, and I accidentally bit into them. Aside from that, the bowl was flavorful and enjoyable. My wife ordered a smoothie, which was just okay. I didn't particularly care for it, and she unfortunately didn't end up finishing it. The service was excellent. The woman who took our order was very friendly and helpful, and she even recommended the matcha -- which turned out to be a great suggestion. One last note: we had visited this spot about a year ago, and it looks like the interior has completely changed since then. The new layout is bright and welcoming, no longer dark, and features a mostly gray palette with accent plants and furniture that bring everything together nicely. It feels much cozier than before.

Same vibe as the other shop on Latham but staff weren't as friendly. Not UNFRIENDLY, and it was…read morebusier. My matcha was delicious and I am in love with the decor.

There is a traffic light on Hoosick Street, so getting into and out of the parking lot is easy. There is no table service. My observation is that the vast majority of their business is take out. You order at the counter and after they're done making your order they call your name out and you pick it up at the counter. Just like Burger King or McDonald's. Your order is displayed on a touchscreen that asks how do you want to pay, what kind of receipt you want, and if you want to leave a tip. I usually leave a small tip, although they don't do anything other than their job. They just take your order and make your food and that's it. I can't see anything that differentiates good service from bad service. Eating in is functional but not comfortable. Similar to a fast food restaurant The bathrooms are relatively clean, the tables are usually, but not always, clean. The dining tables have hard wooden benches. At least they have cushions on some of the benches that make sitting a little more comfortable. All in all, a typical fast food dining experience. The food is healthy, but much more flavorful than typical health food. I like the sriracha sauce, which spices up everything. I've narrowed my selections down to one or two items that I get on a regular basis. They are consistent about how they make each food item. Every order is identical, neat, and tidy. There are a number of signature items, but everything can be customized. Some additional items come at no cost, for others there is a small up charge. This is essentially a fast food restaurant serving healthy food. The dining in experience could be improved, and the service could be more consistent, but the food itself is fresh and tasty. Yummmm very berry smoothie..... if the strawberries and blue berries seeds are not trying to rub against your taste buds on your tongue, it's not fresh then. This place has everything fresh. This is the place to get your fast healthy vegan options. Prices are good, not crazy high and not silly low. They know what they are doing. With all the inflation and everything like $20.00 they have good fresh smoothies and juices. I will be back soon. Great Ambiance, very New York City vibes, minus the whole world being there. (I chuckle) Oh yeah, I did announce that this was my first time at their store and the lady was very upbeat about it and she said "Welcome to Cold Pressed" the way, it should be.
