So no matter what you have here, it's going to be great but believe it or not the best pizza around isn't from a Pizza Parlor it's from this Ballston Spa Deli and sandwich shop. The Chicken Pesto Pizza comes with fresh tomato's, loads of shredded chicken and gobs of melted cheese. Not only does it taste great but it leaves you feeling full without feeling regret. I can easily get away with the 12 cut but I always order the 24 and pack my extra off in the freezer. It makes for an easy and satisfying dinner with 10 minutes in the oven at 375f. My husband and I have been having brunch here for years and I don't believe we've ever been let down by the food (we always order the same thing: the egg, bacon and cheese breakfast sandwich, with mine on a gluten-free roll). First, always love combining mustard and mayo, gives creaminess with some zing Pulled pork was lean and flavorful without being sauced. Solid amount of it and ham. Do not pretend to be able to eat this on the go without soiling your shirt and/or losing pork to the ground. By the menu, you could eat everyday here and not double up in a month. This is my sons goto place and I just don't get it. I had to finally post it today as I just had lunch and paid $9 for a Reuben sandwich that was just 2 pieces of bread. I have never in my life seen a Reuben sandwich with so little meat. As you can see in the picture it is all bread!! For $9 there should be 3 to 4 times the amount of meat I got. I was getting my hair done and my hair dresser and I decided to get lunch ordered. I got a Greek Wrap and she ended up getting a cesar salad with a scoop of tuna on it. The wrap looked and tasted absolutely delish! Not overly dressed, fresh crunchy veggies, well cooked chicken that was shredded which I thought was a great touch. Now i am hooked on shredded chicken in wraps. Everything was tightly wrapped and didnt fall out which was also a huge plus. Their Cajun chicken sandwich (Kent street, sandwiches are named after all the streets in Ballston Spa) was tasty. The sandwich was small. The sandwich had two pieces of chicken that was cut from a breast. So, you are not even looking at a whole breast. At $9.25, the sandwich will definitely be ok for lunch, but for dinner, it's a small sandwich. The small antipasto salas was $7.50 for couple rolls of meat that was more like a side salad.The onion rings were $6.99 for a small size. I'm sorry, it's a bit of a rip off. Fresh, well prepared, tasty. Lots of veggie fare as well as stuff to please the omnivores too. I love how diverse their menu is. Everyone is VERY nice and friendly. Free local delivery. (Even tho it's a short walk from my house.) The common areas are basic cafeteria, really, but nicely done and kept clean. (Even in the middle of winter with snow and slush being tracked in.) Good specials. Delicious breakfasts. Sadly falls into the trap of most Ballston Spa places and is closed by 9pm. Oh, and closed on Monday. *sigh* It's monday now... The dressing was watery. The supposed parmesan reggiano was just cheese powder. The croutons were tasteless and from a box. My friend ordered a chicken ceasar wrap but the only filling was lettuce. Bought a sub and a pizza from there. The sub was alright and cost $10. On par with as much as you get from a Subway sub, Nothing really special. The pizza was alright, Tastes very similar to the pizza that Walmart cooks and sells in-stores. And for a "deep dish" pizza, Only half of it was deep-dish style while the rest of it was almost paper thin. Also, The pizza was way too expensive at nearly $15 for a simple one topping large. A bit outrageous if you ask me. The only plus visiting here is that the cashier made a mistake and I got my near $30 for half the price. Probably won't be coming back here. Great place for a quick bite. Very friendly staff, explained all the goodies they made themselves and that they roasted all their meats. Hot sandwiches to die for. We had the Shakedown Street sandwich, with a bowl of incredible tomato-dill soup and perfectly done fries. We had our food delivered so this review is solely for the food. Pizza toppings are on the scanty side. I ordered a pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and red onion. All I could see was onion...very little mushroom or sausage. That sorta sucked. We also ordered a large spinach salad - the honey mustard dressing was so mustardy that we had to toss it out. We like what we order and order it regularly, so we can't speak for the whole menu, but we are consistently satisfied with what we order. Our fridge recently broke, and we didn't get a replacement fridge for a couple weeks (the landlord was out of town). During that time, my fiance and I ended up getting delivery from Front Street Deli a lot. I usually order online, and it is much easier and quicker than calling in an order. The delivery is also usually extremely quick (we live close by, so that may affect the delivery time), and the food always arrives hot/really warm. My usual go-to foods are the hot boneless buffalo chicken wings (with what is the best blue cheese sauce I have ever had) and jalapeno poppers. Recently, Front Street seems to have changed up the batter or the fry oil or something, because they have been extra crispy and delicious. But, for those interested in other menu items I have tried: --Jumbo chicken wings w/ garlic sauce and Parmesan cheese sprinkled on top: These are good, but boneless are still my favorite. --House Salad, Spinach Salad, Antipasto Salad: these have been pretty small for the Large size. They were still nice, but I would expect more for the price. --Hard taco, Burrito: The hard taco was soggy by the time it got to me, but that is probably to be expected with delivery. It was still tasty, though. The burrito was nothing exceptional. --Philly steak and cheese grinder: Meh. Too dry. --Buffalo chicken pizza: Good, not great. The gluten-free version of this has a very thin crust, but is still tasty. --The Mexicano pizza: Again, good, not great. I am probably going to keep ordering from Front Street Deli because of their fast delivery and scrumptious boneless buffalo chicken wings and jalapeno poppers. I'm not really in love with their other items, but that hardly matters since I know what I like. read more
