I used to come to Jimmy's regularly about 20 years ago and it was great to see it is still going strong. Pizza is still very good for upstate and was very tasty. This place needs some serious upgrades. Tried this 3x in one month; I worked in food service sales for 20+ years, worked kitchens and bars for another coupla decades and know any place can have a bad night, so I reserve judgements based on one meal. Visit 1: ordered the special - Italian Sub...waited about 40 minutes and saw that they sent a staff member to the next door Price Chopper for some of the sandwich ingredients....ok, maybe their food order comes tomorrow and they just got clobbered? I get that! It was a good sandwich, though they did not make it with the items I asked for ( some green peppers, pickles if you have them, black olives) and no cheese...again, forgiven by me due to my food service experience. Visit 2: went in for whatever and was told it was at least a 40 minute wait ( Yay, would rather know now than AFTER placing my order) and since you can't chill out with a beer or a glass of wine while waiting, shoved off and went somewhere else. Visit 3: tried for 20 minutes to make the mealeo app from their webpage work to order and failed; so I called, ordered lasagna ( reheat from prepped food - quick and easy right??) told it would be ready in 25-30 min. Went in with about a 5 minute expected wait time and was there almost an hour. There were 5 people total in the dining area, 3 of those folks were already served....and they were not particularly mobbed with walk- ins or calls.... Went back to my hotel room ( travel for work) and no fork, napkin, or dressing for my "garden salad" ( comes with)....which was brown edged iceberg lettuce with one green and one black olive, and a wrinkled up partial slice of purple onion. The entree was cold in the middle and basically was 2 smooth pasta sheets rolled around the ricotta, with some meat sauce and lots of mozzarella cheese. I had also ordered a side of meatballs ( also cold) which were weirdly peppery / spicy....probably hot italian sausage but this was not indicated anywhere on the menu.... I always try to support a local business rather than the chains which are pretty abundant in Malta, and since I am a woman traveling solo ( albeit with a dog) I'd rather get "to go" and have my meal in the comfort and safety of my hotel room. Will NOT be going back and am very sorry that this place has so much promise ( the bread is good, and I like the sauce recipe) and hope that whoever owns it sees my review and can implement some systems to keep the business alive. read more

We called our orders for pickup and when we arrived there there were a couple of cars lining up to pickup the orders. Due to covid, the staff brings the order out. The problem is they have to find the owner of the orders by asking around at each car in a cold weather. Maybe they are better off by calling when an order is ready for pickup. Pizza: pretty good, nice crisp thin crust. Wings: good size and spicy. Salad: fresh greens. Our order came with bread. The bread is ok, a little bit dry in my opinion but soft. read more

This is the 2nd time in a row that our order was incorrect, the 1st time we let it slide. This time I called to at least get my money back on what I ordered, but wasn't provided. I called Jimmy's to inquire on how to order a buffalo chicken pizza, with one of their very polite female employees, she assured me I was ordering it properly & asked me to put our level of spice in the comments section, which I did, as well as requesting ranch on the side (I completely expected to pay for that additional request) When I arrived home and opened up the pizza only 1/2 had the chicken & the other 1/2 was plain cheese. I called to make the shop aware of the mistake & hopefully get a little money back since I paid for chicken on the whole thing. The young man that answered the phone argued with me & told me that I didn't order the right way. Meanwhile I informed him 3 times that I was on the phone with an employee of the restaurant when I was ordering on line, he continued to argue & speak disrespectfully to me until I finally told him I'd never be ordering from Jimmy's again! We were visiting Lake George. I reached at this restaurant at 10:30pm with my two very hungry children. They had locked the door but still opened to let us in. There were two women inside closing up (I wished I had asked their names). They took our take away order kindly and prepared everything in time. We ordered a large pizza with some toppings, poppers, garlic bread, salad and spaghetti. Everything was really tasty. We really appreciate their kindness to our family that night when I'm sure we would not have found food anywhere else. The food was also very good and we enjoyed every bite of it. Disgusting. People rave about the food here but over the past few years it has gone down hill. Its just cheap, thrown together fried garbage. The eggplant is the absolute worst. So slimy. And I'm pretty sure they pre make their salads and just let them sit in the cooler. The onions literally turned my lettuce purple. And the food is SO INCONSISTENT. Never made the same, like they have 6 cooks just making food however they want. Never on time, always cold by the time you get it. I gave them a few chances but it was the same thing everytime. I've waited well over an hour for delivery and I've stood in there waiting for my food for 30 mins after the time they told me. The last straw and the main reason for this review...I was just in there and the FRUIT FLIES ARE SO BAD. I didnt even want my food. Jimmy's is no longer the place for pizza & pasta in Malta. My family has been ordering here for years. It's a staple for every nostalgic event we've ever had. Last night, I went to visit my father and noticed he had some collect 10 coupons from the Pizza boxes you buy ever since I was 16. I'm 24 now. This place is so unique and really delicious. Let me start off by saying I have worked in many different pizza places for the last 6 years, some really good ones, and I'm very picky when it comes to pizza and my food. This place is so unique and nails the pizza. The dough is thick, the sauce is really great, sweet, goes well with their cheese. All of their sauces are great, the BBQ chicken pizza is way better than any I've ever had. I really love this place for that. It's really quality ingredients. The girl on the phone was very patient with us despite the two of us deciding to order other pizzas on a whim. I used to really like this place but today I came in with two kids order 3 slices of pizza a soda and two chocolate milks and the older women who took my order seemed fine at first but like she wasn't paying attention. BTW... The place wasn't busy at all & there were atleast two other people working so this wasn't a "she was super busy thing" Anyways, I paid by debit & wrote "cash" for tip which I intended to leave on the table as I always do, I was given my drink and asked for the kids drinks which I was told would be right up and I sat down. A few minutes later she came with the pizza and I had to ask her for the chocolate milk (for a second time) but she seemed annoyed and came back with them a few minutes later. Less than a minute later I'm wearing the contents of a whole cup of chocolate milk because she didn't mix the chocolate syrup and one of the girls in attempting to stir it ended up dropping the cup in her lap! NOT ONCE did this woman come over to help or apologize, not even when I specifically asked for her assistance! Another woman helped us (the only reason for the second star). My new pants are now ruined and this B!tch didn't even make an effort to act like she gave a shit! How hard is it to mix chocolate milk? Needless to say I won't be back. read more

Been meaning to write a review about this place for years now. I go there with a group of friends fairly regularly (weekly, pre-Covid), and the food and service are always great. Their wings are among the best around, and according a friend who is a Buffalo native, they rival those at the best establishments in Buffalo. We are an obnoxious bunch, and their staff puts up with us and sometimes joins in on our banter. Been going there for years and always look forward to seeing Rachel and Pam. Their food and service a great, and for a fair price. Four of us split the family special (8 cut pizza, a dozen wings, and a pitcher of soda) and it comes to like $24-5 before tip. We ordered two of their pasta dinners one night and not sure what happened but it was supposed to be sausage and peppers and they put ONE link of sausage on top of some pasta cut lengthwise down the middle. Veggies were sparse. The dinner itself tasted OVERWHELMINGLY of salt. My boyfriend likes salt and usually piles it on and even he was complaining that all he could taste was salt. It was like someone just dumped a salt shaker into the food. It was disgusting., The salads that came with it were small and pathetic and contained only lettuce. Called the week after Christmas to inquire about ordering a tray of eggplant parm. I told the young lady that I was having 6 adults and 3 teenagers. She said a small tray was more than enough. Ok. Filled with ricotta cheese, way too much! Where we are from, calzones do not have ricotta in them. Pizza is very much a personal thing. Everyone has their preference. I prefer a medium-thick crust and here they serve a thin crust. Not wood-fired-oven thin since they don't cook with wood, but any-mall-USA thin. But I've eaten my share of thin crust pizza so I don't intend to fault that aspect of it here. Our host enjoys pizza from Jimmy's so we picked up a couple of 8-cuts on our way to her house. One with just cheese to please her and the other with sausage, onions and peppers (they don't offer roasted peppers) for us. I thought $28 and change seemed a bit expensive. Many places will remove the pie from its baking tray and let it continue to bake on the floor of the oven for the last few minutes to crisp the bottom of the crust. If they did that here it wasn't evident since after the 7 minute drive to the house there was no crispiness to the bottom of the pizza.and no golden-brown color. The sauce seemed somewhat bland and the sausage consisted of paper thin slices that mostly lacked flavor. I had only one bite that had some fennel flavor. The onions and green peppers were average and the salt level was a bit on the higher side. Next time we may force our host to be satisfied with a thicker crust from a different establishment in the area. read more

I'd been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile; it always smells yummy when I pass it on the way to my nail salon. Well what a huge disappointment! The pizza was greasy and limp. The salad was all iceberg and wasn't even fresh, it had lots of brown on it. The Italian dressing was mostly oil with some herbs not mixed at all. Save yourself and go elsewhere! Over the years we have ordered many times and much of the food is very good but the last two times we ordered before tonight were underwhelming. Once they forgot our sampler and once they forgot our chips. One of those times the pizza was overdone and the other the subs were hard. We decided tonight was our last chance ordering from them.
