We stopped by for lunch today and was pleasantly surprised. I got a meat lovers slice which was packed with meat. My husband got the garlic knot pizza, which is set up with a different crust. Both were out of this world. Since it was so great, we ordered zeppolis and and two chicken sandwiches to go. Of course, I'm clumsy and I dropped my sandwich outside. One of the staff ran outside and said please let me make you a new one. Super sweet and seriously went out of their way to do this for my klutziness. The zeppolis were delicious and perfect. We heated up the sandwiches (he had the chicken cutlet and I had grilled chicken) for dinner. Perfection. The bread is made daily and it's like a cross between a pita and pizza dough. It was amazing. Place is an absolute mess. Pizza is awful and they serve it cold. Had a pin wheel and it was raw. The staff put the slice and pinwheel in for 1 minute and took it out. I asked them to heat it more and they looked at me like I was crazy. It's so hard to find good pizza around here you would think in that shopping center with that rent they would spend a few minutes learning how to make and serve good pizza. Absolutely no care put into how they make their food. You can tell by the photos... I have lived in Malta for 5 years and the rest of my life in surrounding areas and NEVER have received something like this from our local pizza spots. I heard this place was super over priced but I didn't hear about how bad the quality of food was. We ordered a large white pizza with mozzarella&tomato, half mushroom. We paid $30 for this. The person who answered the phone couldn't seem to understand that we only wanted half mushroom. We had to repeat our very basic order 4 times. They then proceeded to read it back to us as if we had ordered something outrageous. They basically just threw the mushrooms in one spot and called it a day. It wasn't able to be picked up to be eaten, everything fell right off, WAY too salty. I'm sorry, but this isn't worth anything to me when I come home, open the box and realize I have to deconstruct and re-bake a pizza I paid $30 for. Garbage. The pizza was not worth the price for 2 slices I paid 7 dollars that's including any drinks which that deal is only till 3 2 cheese slices and a drink the pep roll and other rolls are 12 dollars and specialty pizza is between 3.50 to 12 dollars. My family and I have been going there regularly for family dinners but this past Saturday, we ordered a sicilian pizza. We picked it up and got home only to find out it was BURNT! I called and the young girl answered knew exactly the pizza I was talking about - this was totally unacceptable that they would let me leave with this pizza in the first place. She did offer to remake the pizza -- but I had to drive all the way back to get it. (2nd pizza was doughy) I normally don't write bad reviews but I did leave my name and number with this young girl on Saturday and specifically asked to have a manager contact me. We ordered the chicken bacon ranch pizza and another one half roasted red peppers and half jalapeño. We ordered extra sauce (we heard from others they do not put alot of sauce , so we made sure to choose extra sauce) and there was a thin coating of sauce . Very dry . We ordered from Sergio's tonight, we ordered the garlic knot pizza & mozzarella sticks. The garlic knots were very good. This is something I like because it reminds me of home which is NYC. The mozzarella sticks needed to be fried longer.However they loose something in these damn takeout containers so i dont know if frying them longet wouldve helped. The pizza itself was decent but not as good as someothers in the area (primavera, caputo) The real clincher for me was when I called to order & I was asked to hold so the little girl could continue giggling. Delicious pizza, not a fan of the other items. The pizza is always hot fresh and tasty. We have also tried the subs, wings, baked ziti and mozzarella sticks, they were all meh.
