    Famous saratoga county fair cheesesteak
    Meghan W.

My fiance and I went here for dinner from one recommendation out of many on a fb group. I see all these "one bad experience out of many good" one star reviews and it drives me crazy! This place was really good! I got the cheesesteak and it had a ton of flavor, he got the wings and for someone who says he'll never find "the best wing" said it came pretty close to number 1. Give this place a try if you get the chance, we have no complaints and will definitely go back for seconds.

Liked the menu from jump start ..... Started with the artichoke spinach dip -was served Luke warm very watery tasted of mayo not even cheesy even tried mixing it from the bottom... disappointed ! Ordered the corn beef quasadia Including photo you wouldn't believe what they tried to serve me totally disgusted will NEVER COME BACK ! Manager not in our pregnant waitress couldn't be bothered so i approached the bar tender for assistance so disgusted just had it taken off bill n I'll leave hungry ! Mind you the place was empty a whole three tables had patrons wasn't like the cook was slammed !

The best pizza in the area!

I disagree with others comments here to "just stick to the appetizers" because they have some great meals, my husband loves the BellyBuster Steak.

Upon walking in the host and servers were super nice and we were seated promptly. The space itself is super nice! Not crowded at all but definitely means you should make a reservation as they are super popular! Food was amazing! DO NOT MISS THE ROLLS! I'd come back just for the rolls, they were so soft, fluffy, and light with the perfect flaky salt on top to balance with the whipped honey butter. Delicious! Everything else was also great, the hanger steak is also tender and loved the hash that came with it and the crab spaghetti had ample crab meat in it. Presentation was gorgeous. Love the seasonal menus and you really can't go wrong with anything here. We skipped out on dessert but I'm sure there's great options too. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

We had heard about Lago and I wanted to see the lake so we popped in about 2pm. The place was serving a nice lunch crowd, but we didn't have to wait and were quickly sat at an inside table that was on the edge that looked onto the patio/lake. With the drizzly nature, no one was sitting outside so we had a clear view. Service was great and "on top of it." We ordered and thought we'd have to wait a bit and were settling in to just enjoy the lake vibes when a few minutes later our food came out. Quick and efficient! They have a good beer selection... a little something of everything... and lots of fun cocktails to choose from should you wish to indulge. Their food selection was good... leans towards burgers, sandwiches and pizzas. They do have gluten free buns and pizza crust too. Great place for a casual dinner out with great lake vibes! Not far from the town of Saratoga Springs... maybe 15 minutes depending .... I can see how this place is popular!

Our party of six arrived around 8:05 p.m. fully expecting a busy Saturday night. We were split between two separate tables due to limited seating, which was understandable. However, after four large parties left and multiple tables became available, we politely asked if we could move so our group could finally sit together. We were refused because the kitchen was "backed up" and they didn't want orders getting mixed up. After waiting 1 hour and 10 minutes, our food finally arrived. One meal was completely wrong despite being ordered with a food allergy in mind, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, two of the six meals were served cold. After I mentioned we were ready to leave because of the excessive wait, food suddenly started coming out. When we asked for the cold dishes to be remade, we were forced to wait another 40 minutes. The most frustrating part? A table of six seated next to us arrived after we did, ordered after we did, and still received all of their food before ours. There was never a clear explanation for why our table was continually overlooked. Yes, our meal was eventually comped, but after waiting nearly two hours, dealing with an allergy mistake, and receiving cold food, that hardly made up for the experience. Comping a meal doesn't erase poor service or a kitchen that appears unable to handle a busy weekend. The atmosphere is great, but the service was disorganized, the food quality was inconsistent, and the handling of our table was unacceptable. We won't be returning.

Lately there have been a lot of reviews for this spot from other yelpers about this spot…read more When I first read it, I was like, where is this breakfast spot in Ballston Spa. I'm not beven exaggerating, but I have probably passed this spot like a 1000 times and didn't know this was a deli spot. A big tip here, make sure you market it properly as only locals who have tried would be aware of it. And guess what, this local never knew and mistook it for a convenience store. The deli has a lot of potential with a little upgrades. The deli has few spots for indoor seating and an amazing spot with picnic benches, in the woods with a view of a creek. The deli has been voted Saratogas best multiple times. I just got to know it but, this deli is listed for sale. We tried an eggplant panini and a chicken cheese steak. Both of which were good. We took the tiramisu to go. They do get a few bakerybitems from NYC everyday. Small local restaurant that is definitely worth a try. They have ample parking and could get crowded.

This is my first time through since the turnover. Right away you can see the decor that used to cover the walls, giving this spot massive character, is gone, hopefully that is something to be added by the new owners going forward. There are some things from my experience that may be chalked up to the recent turnover such as a messed up order that was fixed and the longer than typical wait for this type of food, but the quality of the food also took a hit. The sandwich was mediocre and the muffin was incredibly dry.
