    Famous saratoga county fair cheesesteak
    Meghan W.

My fiance and I went here for dinner from one recommendation out of many on a fb group. I see all these "one bad experience out of many good" one star reviews and it drives me crazy! This place was really good! I got the cheesesteak and it had a ton of flavor, he got the wings and for someone who says he'll never find "the best wing" said it came pretty close to number 1. Give this place a try if you get the chance, we have no complaints and will definitely go back for seconds.

My suppose to be corn beef quasadia !

Liked the menu from jump start ..... Started with the artichoke spinach dip -was served Luke warm very watery tasted of mayo not even cheesy even tried mixing it from the bottom... disappointed ! Ordered the corn beef quasadia Including photo you wouldn't believe what they tried to serve me totally disgusted will NEVER COME BACK ! Manager not in our pregnant waitress couldn't be bothered so i approached the bar tender for assistance so disgusted just had it taken off bill n I'll leave hungry ! Mind you the place was empty a whole three tables had patrons wasn't like the cook was slammed !

The best pizza in the area!

I disagree with others comments here to "just stick to the appetizers" because they have some great meals, my husband loves the BellyBuster Steak.

I went to Ballston Lakeview Tavern tonight and it was the WORST experience I have every had in my…read moreentire life! Tonight, they were busy, my family was told about a 25-minute wait, cool. We waited about 30 minutes, and a few tables cleared, some people were seated and 1 table was left clean and empty. Ten minutes after the table was cleared the hostess came up to us (2 adults, 2 children) and expressed that there was a table paying and she would seat us soon. That table never happened. Five minutes later a family of 7 paid and we were offered their table. I did mention how there were other tables cleaned already and sat at the table that was offered at that time. After finally being seated, we sat for 10-15 minutes without any service. Then the owner Jayson Hunter, addressed the seating arrangements with an adjacent table instead of directly addressing our concerns. Since I am the person who said something about the seating arrangements, he could have came to us instead of being a fucking coward and talking shit to a table that has no idea why he is explaining his seating arrangements! Second, the fucking cockroach that came wondering out looking very lost like he didn't know what to do was it for us! If my kid didn't have my phone at that moment (he just waited over 50 minutes to eat) I would have taken a picture of the roach too We decided to leave! Be aware when you step into his restaurant in Ballston Spa and 20 North in Schenectady! My husband asked for a manager and expressed to her the issues, when Jayson saw me start to record, he avoided the conversation leaving what may be his wife, to handle the situation?!?!! They both walked out side of the restaurant while we were leaving to watch us?!?!? I will never visit Ballston Lakeview Tavern or 20 north again. While this may seem small to your business, I promise Karma is a Bi*** and I sure hope you learn some customer service Skills!

Wow....just wow…read more Everything was perfect. 5 Giant stars. 9 thumbs up. The Ceasar salad was the best I have ever eaten, and I consider myself a Ceasar salad snob, a CC conesuier if you will. The fresh peas delicately mixed with the pork lardons and crushed romano crotons were sheer bliss. I will never forget this salad as it now rules as my gold standard. We wanted to hug the chef. Everything tasted like it was scratch made with love using fresh seasonal ingredients; this includes the pork dumplings which you must try during your lifetime!! I could drink that sauce. I usually take pictures of the food but it was devoured in what seemed like seconds. Staff was super friendly and very good at their jobs. When you are looking for the place remember that it is tucked away, bordering on hidden, so look up directions because Waze won't bring you right in front of the place. Great for lunch. Indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter and choose a table. Very efficient system. Can't wait to return for the burgers (Vermonters call them 'meat pattys') with fried green tomatoes! Kudos. Thank you to Yelp for helping us find this undiscovered treasure.

Second time here and slightly disappointed this time around. Seafood special was very salty…read more Eggplant parmigiana pasta also too salty. Soup was awesome and service was good.

We tried Buona Sera for dinner after our daughters rowed in the Saratoga Invitational. Sunday…read moreevening; called for a reservation, but not necessary. Got seated right away in the "Lake Room" and got served right away. The Lake Room has a nice view over Saratoga Lake, and the ambiance was good for family dinner, except for a couple of loud tables that made it hard to hear everyone. I had a bourbon Manhattan that was perfect - not so dry that it tasted like a glass of bourbon and not so much vermouth as to make it too sweet - and really smoothed off the afternoon - then a glass of St Francis Cabernet to go with dinner. Appetizers were pan-fried mozzarella and the Shrimp Limoncello. The mozzarella was "Made with Our Fresh Homemade Mozzarella, and Breadcrumbs, Served over Marinara." Light, slight breading and fried just enough with a perfectly sweet complementary red sauce. The Shrimp Limoncello was "Three U-10 Shrimp Sauteed with Roasted Garlic, Roasted Heirloom Tomatoes and Limoncello, Served with Grilled Bread." Shrimp were cooked just right, not overcooked, as happens many times with shrimp, and the tomatoes and bread were complementary and tasty, but the limoncello was a little too much lemon, not enough cello. (a little more tart than we liked) 2 entrees were the pan seared salmon over risotto with a request to undercook the salmon somewhat, which they honored, and it made the salmon very moist and tasty. The Roasted Garlic and Basil risotto was excellent - rice not overcooked, perfect with a deep warm roasted garlic flavor. My Eggplant Parmesan was prepared the old fashioned way with thinly sliced eggplant properly drained and sweet with an ultra thin breading fried just right with a delicious marinara sauce and plenty of mozzarella, served over house-made spaghetti cooked al dente. Ample enough to have half for lunch the next day. Oh, and I had a side order of broccoli rabe - slightly bitter, as it should be, with ample garlic flavor cooked perfectly. Excellent. The fourth entree was Shrimp Aglio E Olio - "Sauteed shrimp, broccoli rabe, roasted tomatoes, in a garlic and olive oil sauce. Served over spaghetti." Once again, large fresh (not meaning not previously frozen, just clearly not old) meaty shrimp cooked perfectly - still moist with some crunch with a wonderful pungent garlic sauce over that perfectly al dente spaghetti. My daughter loved it. Also enough for lunch the next day. Desserts were homemade tiramisu and lemon ricotta cake with raspberry sauce and whipped cream. Tiramisu was classic and delicious. Lemon cake was a little dry but tangy and tasty, especially with the full-flavored raspberry sauce. We only get to Saratoga in the spring and fall for the rowing races, but this will be our go-to place for post-regatta dinner any time we're around. Very very good. Not cheap, but one doesn't mind when it's well worth the price.
