Lately there have been a lot of reviews for this spot from other yelpers about this spot…read more When I first read it, I was like, where is this breakfast spot in Ballston Spa. I'm not beven exaggerating, but I have probably passed this spot like a 1000 times and didn't know this was a deli spot. A big tip here, make sure you market it properly as only locals who have tried would be aware of it. And guess what, this local never knew and mistook it for a convenience store. The deli has a lot of potential with a little upgrades. The deli has few spots for indoor seating and an amazing spot with picnic benches, in the woods with a view of a creek. The deli has been voted Saratogas best multiple times. I just got to know it but, this deli is listed for sale. We tried an eggplant panini and a chicken cheese steak. Both of which were good. We took the tiramisu to go. They do get a few bakerybitems from NYC everyday. Small local restaurant that is definitely worth a try. They have ample parking and could get crowded.

I hate to downgrade a review, but my previous experience at Russell's (see below) may have been…read moreunusually excellent. I was there recently for lunch and had the day's special of a fried clam sub with cheese and coleslaw. The clams were fine, but the roll was cold out of the fridge and there wasn't nearly enough lubrication.... it needed more cole slaw or at least mayo to moisten the bread. As it was I picked out the insides and left most of the bread on my plate. Your mileage may vary... if you go there I hope your experience is more like my previous review.

We arrived right when they opened at 10 a.m. and were seated immediately, which was great. We initially considered sitting inside, but the smell of eggs was so overwhelming/nauseating that we opted for outdoor seating instead. The patio was charming and cozy. The service was friendly, attentive, and one of the highlights of our visit. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to expectations. We all ordered the brunch tower, which included a "fruit salad" that consisted of squishy grapes, sour Granny Smith apple chunks, and canned mandarin oranges. The fruit tasted low quality and unappetizing, and I only managed a few bites. I also ordered the bananas foster crepe, which was severely overcooked. The crepe was so tough that I needed a knife to cut through it, and the texture was far from what I would expect from a crepe. Overall, while the service was pleasant and seating was prompt, the food quality left a lot to be desired, especially considering the price point.

Great flavor and great texture; and, I appreciate that they use organic ingredients. I actually wouldn't eat there if they didn't. The bagels are honestly amazing. They are the only bagels I will eat because they are organic sourdough (it's the only non-gf I'll eat). They are crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside, just how a bagel should be! Whenever I've ordered a bagel and cream cheese (which is more than a dozen times), they've always been very generous with the cream cheese, which I appreciate! They've also got more than just bread. They sell some local gifts and things: flowers, crocheted items, little crafts, chocolates, etc. Their cookies are soooooooo delicious. We always get at least one to enjoy after we eat our bagels. :-) There is a small sandwich menu (no hot items though - like no hot egg sandwiches, just egg salad). They also serve hot coffee! One tip: Go early. They often sell out of bagels and treats, especially on the weekends! It's just a really solid spot with really good food! Definitely worth checking out! We drive 25 minutes just to enjoy their bagels, bread, and treats!!

Can't believe I just heard of Mom & Pop's; clearly I've been living under a rock. This family owned business knows how to provide delicious food fast! It was obvious that there are MANY regulars (the owner was on a first name basis with everyone that walked in)-which I would be if I lived a smidge closer. Loved my Mediterranean omelette; the skillet got rave reviews (and a to-go box!). Picked up some cookies and struffoli (yaaassss Italian honey balls FTW!!) for a Christmas dinner I'll be attending..plus a couple of pieces of eggnog cake (which were insanely good...those won't make it to Xmas dinner). I'd like to go back again soon and try some other breakfast (or lunch) items. They close at 2pm and are currently open Monday-Friday (so I can only get there on a day off). Oh-they do catering, too.

The menu is huge! It's like a diner...basically anything you might want, they probably have (for breakfast and lunch). I chose the turkey club. I had an option to have it with chips or a side salad. The sandwich was big, and I had to eat the sections in mini-sections! It was very good. I can't wait to come back! I felt that the prices were very reasonable.
