I am an idiot. I live rather close to Amigos Cantina and had dinner there several years ago. I do remember liking it and have no idea why I haven't been back. I'm an idiot! A friend of mine that is very picky when it comes to Mexican food said that this is the only place she will get takeout from. I was VERY excited to see that they have street tacos! I LOVE street tacos. Not many places around here have good street tacos. Amigos Cantina does. So, we got almost all varieties (except for salmon) of the street tacos and a pile of nachos. Plus...one traditional taco. Everything was great! I heated up everything in a 250° oven so that it was warm instead of eating cold takeout. I especially liked the shrimp: two large/jumbo shrimp in each taco that were perfectly seasoned. The blackened haddock was excellent, too. I tasted the steak and it was quite spicy...which I like. Whatever they use as a marinade has a nice kick to it. The nachos are really good quality without being overly greasy or too thick. They have a great system for contactless/safe food ordering and my Friday night taco indulge was wonderful. My neighbors go there frequently and said that the margaritas are awesome. I happened to make my own 'ritas last night but next time I have my eye on at least a margarita and... burritos!! The only reason why it's a four-star and not a five star review is because one of the dinners was supposed to have black beans and rice. They forgot those sides but in the scheme of things it's OK. I'll hopefully get a chance to try them next time.

Staying in Saratoga Springs, but visited Schuyler House . While in the area decided to try Amigos Cantina for some good Mexican food and was not disappointed. Very cute indoor areas, has two distinct bar room, and a very cute outdoor area with twinkle lights etc. We ate outdoors. As seems to be the case in most restaurants now, due to covid, they were a little short staffed and consequently, the wait was a little longer for the food to be brought to the table. Staff did bring water and chips and salsa in timely manner. Food however was very good and they had a nice menu with lots of good vegetarian/ vegan options.Guacamole was great with plenty of chips. Fun ambiance and we will def return.

Back again and enjoyed the Special - Habanero Chicken Fajita - sweet orange-habanero glazed chicken breast served with sizzling onions, peppers and tomatoes. With cranberry jalapeño salsa, pico de gallo, black beans and rice. So good and the Crema Catalana. Chocolate espresso creme brûlée was sooo good creamy rich and wonderful.

    Shrimp enchiladas !!! Yummy

Unexpectedly decent Mexican food for a small town. Service is good; drinks are solid; and the menu is better than average.

The cashier recommended the mahi-mahi and the chicken tacos. Both exceeded my expectations, but I think I prefer the mahi-mahi. The shredded chicken was juicy and tender though. The mini donuts were next level; they put carnival mini donuts to shame. I ordered the Boston cream because that's my favorite kind of doughnut. I inhaled these things; they were melt-in-your-mouth soft, sweet, and made to order so they were incredibly fresh. I can see people coming here in droves after a night of drinking, but everything was delicious sober and in the . I'm so glad I came here! Side note - I forgot to take a picture of the mahi-mahi taco and the donuts because I ate them so quickly. I ordered the chicken taco after I ate both of those.

I love when local eateries are well-loved because they deserve it. 9 Miles East Farm certainly does! A lot of the folks who came in for dinner wanted to sit on the terrace to bask in the last couple of hours of sun, but being from Florida I get overdosed with that and sat inside. I'm glad I did, the playlist reminded me of a Sunday picnic without being either. However, the atmosphere felt like that, even indoors. The owner was super personable, and the server was just the right amount of attentive. I ordered the chicken piri piri, and it presented beautifully. I felt comforted by the food. The tender grilled chicken parted from the bone with a twist of my fork and the mashed sweet potato was a great partner to the savory, citrusy, and slightly spicy piri piri. Im not even a chicken thigh person, but this dish changed me. I actually felt tended to and taken care of by the food! Does that even make sense??? It did when I was eating because that's how I felt. And the crazy thing is, I've been here once before. I loved what I ate, but it didn't feel like this. It's been a rough couple of months, but after this meal and listening to the carefree, but intentional music, it lit up my mood and my spirit. This will definitely be one of my go-to's when I visit Saratoga Springs, and I highly recommend 9 Miles East Farm to anyone. I think that a lot of people feel like they're visiting a friend's place when they come here. I definitely did.
