Nice little find in eastern New York State. Tasty Mexican fare - specifically the burritos. Clean bathrooms.

This was my first time ever visiting Lake George and I found that most of the restaurants here were…read morenot places that I could eat as I have dietary restrictions, unfortunately. But, thanks to Yelp, the business website listing their ingredients clearly, and the very helpful staff, I determined that Paloma would be a good spot to grab some food. The shop is surrounded by local touristy shops, plus the information center is across the street. The interior space is large enough to accommodate a few dozen customers, with some window seats that look out onto the main road, with beautiful views of the mountains. The first visit for me, I enjoyed one chicken and one beef taco served on homemade tortillas. The flavors for both of these proteins is absolutely some of the best I've ever had in any state. Who would've thought that I'd be eating some of the best tacos in upstate NY? Hibiscus tea is also refreshing, mild sweetness and a must try if you pop in here. Oh, did I mention that the food was ready within a few minutes? It disappears just as fast as they put it on the plate. My second visit I tried the tostada with the beef, and it was just as good as the taco, but if you prefer a crunch, the tostada was delicious and held up well. Day 3 in a row - yeah, it's that good - I had to stay with the tacos again. The fam enjoyed other items from the menu such as their burrito bowl, burrito, guac and quesadilla. Everyone left here super happy. Rarely does a place get me to come back 3 days in a row, but Taqueria Paloma deserves it. If I lived in or near Lake George, I would probably just invest in this place because they're not only putting out a great product, it's clean, beautiful and the staff are on point. 10 stars if I could.

As someone who loves traveling and street food, this taco spot was perfect. My boyfriend and I got…read more2 each, he got the shredded chicken and I ordered pork carnitas and a brisket one. They were absolutely to die for, the meat was juicy and tender and the toppings are on point. When I think of a taco, I think of these. The restaurant was so clean, minimal, and service was not slow with how busy they were! (And to be quite frank, if there was a longer wait, I'd be willing to sit and be patient because these were absolutely delicious!) If you're looking for a Taco Bell type soft taco, you might want to sit this one out. These tacos are true street tacos like you'd have in California or down south where taco trucks are rampant. This was one of my favorite cozy spots we visited in Lake George & we will definitely be back. Thank you for the delicious food and for being such a beautiful, vibrant restaurant!

I'm not sure how you couldn't give this place five stars. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and…read morethe vibe/ decor is unique and simply fun. The chips and salsa - I could have eaten the salsa with a large slurpy straw... yum! The fajitas, HUGE portions that are so fresh and tasty. My husband had the enchilada and raved about it. It took a server almost 20 minutes to even offer us water. When she finally came to the table, I told her we were ready to place our order since we had so much time to look at the menu. She said, "Oh wait, I need to grab a pencil and pad." That was a first for me. And then it took her another 5 minutes to come back. I got the steak chimichanga and it looked pretty plain. I was expecting it to be covered with sauce and cheese as I have seen at other places. But this was fine if that's how they normally prepare it. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it. The wrap was nicely fried and stayed intact when I sliced through it. It was also a very good portion size that I ended up saving it for the next day's meal. We waited a bit for our check to come but it did not so we got up and walked to the front in order to pay. And no, it wasn't a pay-at-the-front situation. Other diners had their check brought to them. The restaurant wasn't even full so I think service could have been better.
