Sausage & Pepper slice up close.

Friends had been discussing the wood-fired pizza served here and an internet video of their pizza being baked. But other than one of them who had only been here a number of years ago under previous ownership, none of the others had. And so it was that we plugged the address into our car's GPS for our first ever visit. The kitchen closes at 8 pm on Sunday and we arrived at 6:15 to an empty dining room, a nice warm wood stove, three customers sitting at the bar, a football game on one TV, and NASCAR on the other. We even received a friendly "Hi!" upon our entry from one employee, and a "Good to see you again!" from another. As we selected one of the tables closest to the wood stove our server promptly informed us of two Specials that night as she handed us menus. We asked what was on draft and chose the Davidson Brothers Brown ($4.50/pt) over three others which included a Sam Adams Oktoberfest and maybe a couple of Budweisers. One of the Specials was an Appetizer Sampler ($6) which included 4 wings, 3 mozzarella sticks, 3 onion rings, and 3 chicken tenders. We ordered this while we perused the pizza offerings. The wings were the hit on this platter - crispy, meaty, and moist, with our choice of honey habanero sauce. The platter was served with sides of blue cheese and marinara sauces. I forgot to request the melba sauce for the mozzarella sticks. But the blue cheese was actually excellent on the sticks, rings and tenders. The tenders had a nice breading but the chicken was overcooked and only saved by that blue cheese sauce. The onion rings and mozzarella sticks were typical of the frozen variety. We skipped over the second Special of the night, an 8-cut cheese pizza that was maybe a couple dollars less than usual, so that we could try the Sausage and Pepper version ($10.50). The crust edges rise nicely in the oven and have a good flavor. The center of the pizza is heavily weighed down with cheese. It's a really tasty cheese that is not overly oily and easily stretches with each piece you remove from the try. But the cheese will prevent you from attempting to pick up a slice in your hand to eat. The house-made sausage on the pizza is crumbled bulk that hardens in the oven, giving it a crispy and contrasting texture to the cheese and dough. My preference would have been for some noticeable fennel flavor in it. The thinly sliced peppers appear to be previously sautéed to the point of some becoming translucent. They did not add any noticeable flavor. Maybe it's just that all that cheese overpowers the other flavors. The major discussion between my wife and myself once the pizza was served, however, was whether the dominant flavor we were experiencing was smoky, charred, ashy, or burnt. I preferred to use the first two while my wife said it reminded her of burnt toast. Certainly, if you look at the pictures I took you would not recognize any burnt crust. But if you looked at the bottom of a slice you definitely would see some brown and black spots. I backed my opinion on the fact that while the thick and airy, crust edges had this flavor they were a nice golden brown. She backs her opinion on my photo of the top vs. bottom photo. The bottom line is that I really enjoyed the pizza (and the wings). It's probably not going to get any rave reviews from someone preferring a NYC style. And I probably should have stopped eating after my share of the pizza, but the chalk board listed slices of pie from Smith's Orchard and Bake Shop ($4.50). I chose the Blueberry over the Apple and skipped the ala mode. It would have been better if the chill from the cooler had been taken off the pie before serving it. Otherwise, I still have my weakness for Smith's pies. This is a really friendly place and probably very popular with snowmobilers in the winter. Hopefully, the lake in the Summer also keeps enough customers coming year round.

There was also a Vicki's Pizzeria open in Galway several years ago. Vicki's Pizzeria offers several cut sizes of pizzas of traditional and specialty pizzas,, calzones, salads, chicken wings, appetizers, hot & cold subs, sandwiches, burgers, pasta dinners, macaroni salad, cheesecake slices, and Pepsi products in the cooler. They also have pizza slices available and offer pizza, wings & soda family meal deals. Besides prepared foods, they also sell candy bars, snacks, a few condiments, can soup, cereal, bread, milk, eggs, Gatorade, juices, bottled water, and paper products. I've heard mixed reviews of the food here, so I decided to stop by to check it out! The place was quite busy here with minimal standing room in front of the counter. I ordered the smallest pizza offered, a 6 Cut/12" Round Deluxe Pizza ($18 plus tax), which was all set in 15 minutes after ordering. This pizza was topped with red sauce, pepperoni, sausage, green peppers, onions, & mushrooms, melted mozzarella cheese on top of a firm crust with thick round edges with a light dough texture. The pizza tasted pretty good, though the toppings slid off my first slice, fresh hot out of the oven. I will have to pickup and try some of their other pizzas (I'll order larger) next time I'm visiting my extended family.

Recently, I placed an online pickup order directly through the Wingstop app and ordered the Sweet BBQ Blaze Chicken Sandwich Combo with fries and 20 oz fountain drink. My order was bagged and all set in about 22 minutes after ordering, just enough time to drive from Speigletown to Sycaway with heavy fair traffic. My drink cup was filled up with ice cold Coca Cola as I grabbed my food. I ate my food outside. The fries were a bit soft, but tasted pretty good dipping into the cup of ranch dressing. The chicken sandwich smothered in sweet bbq blaze sauce & topped with pickles on a soft bun was pretty good. The iced cold Coca Cola fountain drink was carbonated properly and not flat, like at another Wingstop in NH (03102), where I get DoorDash from near my home.

My latest trip in May 2026 was a complete disappointment. The service was incredibly slow. As a group we ordered 6 different meals. The salmon, fried haddock, a cheese burger, chicken nuggets, roast beef and gravy and an order of chicken wings hot. The haddock was way over cooked, dark brown and black in some spots. A good cook could see it was over cooked just by looking at it. The burger was under cooked and pink in the center, the person who ordered it refused to eat it. The chicken nuggets where over cooked and dry, again the person who ordered it refused to eat it. The roast beef and gravy was either over cooked or was sitting out too long as it no longer had a slight pinkish color. The chicken wings where also dry and did not have enough amount of buffalo sauce. The only meal that was decent was the salmon. When we asked the server about the poor quality of the food she did not seem concerned and did not ask questions nor apologize about the poor quality of the food. she did say she would talk to the chef. I was amazed and quite frankly shocked at the chefs reply "That's the way it comes!" Like, what the hell, what kind of reply is that? That was an extremely arrogant and careless reply to the complaints for 5 out of 6 terrible meals.. I will not be returning.

My friend wasn't going to eat anything, just came with me for the vibe. We sit and it's a notable time but nothing crazy before we get our drinks, two waters. I put my order in, the mushroom burger medium rare with a house salad instead of fries, with italian dressing. The server confirms they have italian dressing. 25 minutes goes by and server comes over to apologize about the wait and that my food'll be out in a few minutes. Meanwhile the table directly behind me, 7 top, are complaining since it's been 2 hours since they ordered and only got a few meals served one at a time. 45 minutes goes by and by this point I'm hungry. It's clear that they were understaffed and I asked my server how long it will actually be. Keep in mind that it's no where near busy. Maybe 7 tables tops on the inside, maybe a few outside. As I'm waiting for "a few minutes," I overhear a different server greeting a new table and informing them that three people in the kitchen walked out. 15 minutes later I get my food. It's a burger and house salad, brought out by a different server. She asks what dressing I had and I said italian. They don't have italian dressing, and honestly I don't want to eat a salad with no dressing or the options they had, ranch, blue cheese, balsamic vinaigrette, and one other one I believe. So I politely ask for broccoli instead when offered something else. I eat a few bites of my burger, so hungry I didn't look down. When I do, I see that it's raw. A different server than both previous ones comes over to soften the blow as I just ate raw beef. I tell her I'd like to speak to a manager, but she comes back herself and says that she had talked to the manager and comped the whole meal. Of course, I wasn't going to pay for an hour and a half wait for one entree that is raw. I didn't bring any cash to tip since I was going to do a credit tip. Then she tells me that she would have to charge me something for that to be possible. I thanked them for their time and left. Don't go here until they're staffed. I understand that things happen but being honest, upfront, and serving safe to eat foods are a necessity that they don't have right now
