Prices are very fair and ambiance is typical Tex-Mex. They often have Mexican TV on (telenovela or sports) typically. Chips and salsa are complimentary....something that I've come to expect from a Mexican restaurant, and am usually surprised when a place charges for it. The standard salsa here is mild (which I prefer) but I think you can order a spicier version. The tacos, burritos, and fajitas are all very good. Definitely worth a visit if in the area. read more

The BEST Mexican food in the area. Service is quick and efficient. Food is hot, fresh, well seasoned and quite authentic. The dining room is clean and simple. We have had a great experience with both takeout and dining-in. Some of the tables and booths are a little beat up from how busy they are but if you can look past the duct tape on the seat, you'll enjoy a delicious, satisfying meal. A warm fresh basket of chips and house salsa is delivered to every table upon arrival. There are so many delicious menu items to try from a sampler of 4 different enchiladas to many varieties of tacos and burritos- you'll find lots of classic Mexican American food, well executed. One of my favorite menu items is the cheese flautas. There are 4 crispy tortillas rolled full of juicy, tender, spiced, shredded chicken fried crisp and drizzled with smooth white queso and served alongside beans, rice, lettuce, guacamole and sour cream! I've driven by more times than I can count. I'm not a fan of gloppy, cheesy "americanized mexican" fare and I had a preconceived notion that this is what they served. Yes-there's plenty of gloppy, cheesy stuff to choose from but the menu is extensive - including more traditional Mexican options. The complimentary chips and salsa are really good. Chips are warm; salsa is just right. It took a REALLY long time to get someone to take out food order, but we got drinks quickly (and the chip bowl was refilled). I would consider the food OK; it's served hot and I decided to try a combination of a taco, tamale and burrito. The hot sauces on the table kicked things up a notch and the bill came out to just under $30 (before tip). The layout is interesting-lots of booths so you're not sitting on top of anyone and it feels private. Some of the booth cushions have seen better days so a few upgrades should be considered. You know you're in for a treat when you're greeted by warm tortilla chips and salsa as soon as you sit down. Great Mexican-American food. Every dish we had was delicious. The Pollo Diabla was fantastic and extremely spicy. This dish is not for the faint of heart. The Steak Chipotle came out hot and sizzling. The Ranchero fajitas is the "catch all" dish for the most indecisive of us-- shrimp, chicken, chorizo, steak, beef, bell peppers, and onions all in one dish. And somehow, it all works. Great value for money. Each dish came with rice, refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream. The refried beans and Mexican rice had a nice kick to them; they were well flavoured and not just an afterthought. I love the music playing, TVs blaring, and the staff singing along in the background. The walls are bright pink and the booths are neon green. So many nick-nacks on the walls. We were looking forward to Mi Rancho after a long day outdoors on our family vacation. We were so in the mood for Mexican food, any style, and several reviews on Yelp and Google Maps were decent. We chose it over Raul's and La Cosina. The staff was casual and friendly, and location close to center of town. Though this night Mi Rancho was terribly disappointing. Tortilla chips were stale, salsa tasted like it was out of a can. I ate one of my enchiladas, no more. They were luke warm on the outside and cold inside, and the one I ate had three bones in successive bites. The mole sauce was so sweet, I struggled to swallow it. There was a salad and guacamole on the side, some of the lettuce was black and rotting. Other dishes my family ordered were of similar quality. My house margarita on the rocks was ok, a full quart in a giant glass beer mug. Though I was so turned off by the food I couldn't drink the rest of my margarita. My son enjoyed his virgin pina colada. We paid the $75 for our three entrees and left to eat elsewhere. I hate giving a family restaurant a negative review but this was just poor quality. Perhaps it was an off night for Mi Rancho, or review standards are lower in Glen Falls. Won't be back. read more

Two friends and I had lunch at this restaurant. We were all pleased with the quality of the food and the ambiance. The table service was friendly and timely. When we placed our orders we ordered directly off of the lunch menu. However when my friend received the check the prices were taken off of the dinner menu. She took the claim check up to the front counter to have them alter the charges. The hostess acted like she did not understand what my friend was saying because of 'the language barrier'. My wife and I discovered this restaurant quite by accident when we were just going for a drive. I must say it was quite a happy accident. When we entered the restaurant the first thing we noticed was how good it smelled. That is generally the first thing we notice when dining in a Mexican restaurant. The smell of the spices is always enticing. We were seated immediately and in short order our waiter arrived to take our drink order and brought us warm taco chips and salsa. My wife jumped all over those like she hadn't eaten for a week- remarking how good the salsa was. The menu is quite large and when the waiter returned to see if we were ready to order we asked for a bit more time. When the waiter returned again we had made our selections. I asked for a chicken burrito. My wife ordered a veggie dish - Quesadilla Verde. In a fairly short time our meals arrived. When he presented them the waiter exclaimed "enjoy amigos" which was a nice touch. To say that the meals were terrific would be an understatement. The red sauce on my burrito was simply magnificent. The burrito was not as large as others I had eaten but it was wonderful. My wife's dish was very large and nicely presented. My wife, who is not a big eater (and who had already devoured many taco chips) ate her entire entree remarking several times how good it was. So, we had a truly nice experience at this restaurant. It is just over an hour away from where we live but when we are in the area again we will most certainly be stopping here. read more
