The main appeal was convenience. Giuseppe's was only a few steps from our hotel, and the idea of eating pizza on the balcony overlooking the lake at sunset sounded too good to pass up. The order was ready quickly, less than thirty minutes, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, despite asking for utensils and plates both on the phone and again in person, they forgot them entirely. A short walk back to the shop solved the problem, and to their credit, the staff handed them over without any fuss. The pizza itself was the kind of food that serves a purpose but not a memory. The crust was too thick and doughy, the sauce had very little character, and the cheese existed mostly to keep everything from falling apart. It was utility-grade food sold at premium tourist-town prices. We knew we were paying that tax going in, but even so, it felt steep for what we got. Still, it did the job. Our family had a meal, the sunset over the lake was beautiful, and we went from phone call to first bite in under forty minutes on a Saturday night. For that, I'll give some credit.
