I'm not a breakfast fan but when I saw they had breakfast sandwiches, I was a happy camper. They have inside and outside seating and we chose inside because of the sun. Our server brought menus and coffee and quickly took our order. My sandwich was egg, cheese and bacon on rye marble bread. The sandwich arrived nice and hot and the bread was well toasted. Good sandwich!!!! Ambiance isn't much to get excited about and in fact it felt a bit unclean.

Food was DELICIOUS! The service was quick and waitress was super friendly. We sat outside on the patio and it was cool and comfortable. The penne Alfredo was amazing and the sauce was creamy and clearly homemade. The vegetable medley is a MUST! So tasty. The pastrami Reuben was phenomenal as well. You won't be disappointed!

I ordered breakfast to go. Food came quickly. The staff was nice. The inside looks pretty cool. Eggs were soft and fluffy. The potatoes were tender. The coffee was fresh and delicious.

returning for the first time since 2021 and sadly both out meals with chicken bases. The Burrito and the Chicken Cacciatore. My wife return the Cacciatore as it was gamey and my Burrito was the same but I ate it. The service was great and so were the onion rings and yet our experience was eclipsed. One day we will return and I'm sure the food quality to their former excellence.

I always have a meal at this establishment when in town and it is always the Monte Cristo. And it's always good, I'd love to see it served with confectionery sugar sprinkled on top and jam! Probably better off not deep fried as traditionally served but still a good rendition of the classic. Friendly fast service. I recommend to sit on the upper deck if available with view of the park and bustling town. I also enjoyed the strawberry thyme martini on the summer cocktail menu! I will be back next visit!

We just arrived in Lake George and needed some delicious food and good drinks! Found Monte Cristo's. Amanda took great care of us; serving us AND making our cocktails! Casual ambience with one of the best Caprese pizzas and Tuna Melt we've ever had! (Old fashioned was pretty tasty too!!) Highly recommend this well established (20 years in Lake George) restaurant.

We had another great meal where we ordered the Black and Bleu short ribs, Chicken Cacciatore and Buffalo Chicken Pizza. We made it a point to come back and eat here.

I came here on a Sunday evening for an early dinner! I came in a party of 10 and there was no wait to be seated. My party sat on the second level because it offers a beautiful view of Lake George. The ambiance is really nice in the restaurant! I ordered the chicken cammiatore pasta. The serving size is ginormous!! After I finished eating, it looked like I didn't even touch my food. I had leftovers for at least 3 more meals. While the serving size was impressive, there was nothing special about the pasta. The sauce was very thin and soupy. It wasn't what I expected but it was still a good meal and affordable for the portion size(:

Children enjoyed their large garden salad and personal pizza.

We had an enjoyable, casual dinner for 4 adults, 3 children and one dog, after an afternoon of hiking the Schuman Preserve at Pilot Knob. We had a variety of entrees- personal pizzas, salads, soup, Reuben sandwich, burgers and fries and everything was tasty. The staff were pleasant and efficient and the place was decidedly child and pet friendly. We chose to sit outside and enjoyed the view of Lake George. Prices were reasonable and we would definitely go back again.

Good experience at Monte Cristo's in our visit to the Lake George village area. Liked the food, solid service. Not sure if I'll come back just because there are so many other restaurants in the area - either way I enjoyed my visit and would recommend!

Atmosphere and staff is very nice. Food is bland, wouldn't order the pizza again. Cocktail prices are high and they are not very tasty.

If you're looking to feed a large group of people in Lake George, and you want to sit by the water,…read moreThe Lagoon is an eminently solid choice. The menu is massive, and so you should easily be able to find something for everybody...unless that person is looking for something super healthy. The Lagoon has burgers, and pizza, and lobster boats, and fish and chips, and four kinds of mac and cheese, and the appetizer list consists of all the things, fried: brussels sprouts, mozzarella wedges, wings, and more. We ordered all three of those fried things I mentioned to start, buffalo mac and cheese, a pizza, fish and chips, a cheesesteak, chicken fingers and a Greek salad. Our server was super bubbly and brought us all the sauces and drinks and everything else we asked for. It isn't going to blow you away with their culinary innovation, but The Lagoon hits a certain spot, and can seat your whole party with a view. I'd do it again.

The staff would congregate in a…read morecorner inside and someone would only venture out to the patio if there was food to deliver to a table, but you would have difficulty getting their attention even as they were walking back. Ordered was the poutine, a turkey club, and the hot buttered lobster roll. I came here for the poutine, a previous review had been very complimentary. I was underwhelmed, the gravy was thin, the cheese and tenderloin scarce. I will give the fries credit, crispy and seasoned, they were a solid base. Being so close to Canada, I'd expect better. The club was loaded up with dry turkey and not enough mayonnaise to help balance that out, but again the tots were crispy and seasoned so they were a gem, possibly the best thing here (and that's not a compliment because they're clearly a prepackaged product). The lobster in the lobster roll was chewy and dry, the roll was crispy but it was as though they had made garlic bread with a hot dog bun, then shoved some sad lobster bits in it. The coleslaw was drenched in dressing, but bland enough that I ate it for some texture and filling after being left wholly unsatisfied by my roll. All in all, I get the impression this restaurant relies solely on the lake, and their proximity to giving you a view while you eat, almost entirely to distract from a subpar performance in every other aspect of restauranting.

Can I give 10 stars?…read more If we lived in the area, we would be here monthly if not more often. Incredible food (served in full or half portions), craft cocktails (I had a tomato infused vodka martini), and a welcoming and friendly staff. When we arrived, the restaurant was just opening but not quite ready for guests, so one of the servers came out and chatted with us for a while. How many other places do this? The food was so good and creative and plated in a tempting way. It almost felt a shame to eat it. Accolades and kudos to the BEST restaurant in LG.

My husband and I shared a few appetizers and a few half plates so we could both taste a bit of everything. The only thing we didn't really like was the tuna appetizer. If you are contemplating trying the wild boar sausage it was absolutely delicious and I'm so glad we tried it! Now for the negatives. When I made the reservation I let them know it was for our anniversary. I didn't expect special treatment but we felt it actually went the opposite of being special. When we were led to our table we walked through a very nice and cozy dining room into a way less nice side room at a four seat table. Almost immediately after sitting multiple people came in and were arranging tables and chairs around us to accommodate a party. We were quickly told we should get our order in asap as when the party arrived the kitchen would be busy making their meals. I honestly was floored by this remark. The last thing you want on a special occasion is to feel rushed. I'm sure they thought they were being helpful but it just felt unwelcoming. By the time dinner came we were the only ones in there surrounded by a large party of other people. Why the room wasn't kept for just the party is kind of baffling because we were just two people and could have easily fit somewhere else. While dinner was tasty I was not at all happy with dessert. We ordered the peach cobbler, which is one of my favorite desserts. When it came it was a chopped up peach sauce on top of what seemed to be some type of very dense spice cake. My husband somewhat enjoyed it because he likes spice cake but we left most of it because it wasn't at all like a cobbler. And not something we would have ordered if it had been properly described. On the way out to leave we again walked through the other dining room and got a better look at how much nicer and romantic it looked with much more private tables for two. So disappointing. All in all I think we would give this place another shot for a more casual dinner. But I would absolutely never even consider coming back for a special occasion again.

We were a group of 10, so walking in, I was already a little leery. Apparently, a party of 10 is enough to make you wonder if you're dining at a restaurant or applying for asylum. The servers did their jobs. Our server was actually very good. Everything came out correctly, the food that was hot was cooked properly, and there were no major service issues. There was absolutely no aggressive upselling, either. My girlfriend ordered an Old Fashioned and asked what kind of bourbon they had. He suggested Maker's Mark. She asked if they had anything else, and his response was basically, "Maker's Mark is the best." Well, there you have it. Decision made. Apparently the bourbon department consists of Maker's Mark and a very firm opinion. As for the food, it was good, but a little pricey for what you get. My steak was good. My girlfriend's lobster, however, arrived cold. I'm guessing it had been enjoying an extended vacation in the window while waiting for the steaks. Since we had already waited quite a while, she decided not to send it back. A little hot butter performed the emergency resuscitation, and surprisingly, it was fine. But honestly, the best part of the evening had nothing to do with the restaurant. It was being there with family. That's what made the night enjoyable. Would I go back? Maybe if someone else is paying. I've heard there are better restaurants in the area for the money, and after this experience, I'm starting to believe the reviews might have been trying to warn us rather than simply complain.
