Double Cheeseburger Combo Foot Long Coney Dog Combo Chocolate Shake Root beer float
Eric C.

Girlfriend and I stop here every time we come up. Never disappoints. She adores the root beer float, and the Coney Footlong. I got the bacon cheeseburger with cheese curds(she loved those too.) Also, the milkshakes are awesome. I feel like it's throwback spot, makes us feel like we're living in an era we never got to experience. Staff is super nice too.

Papa burger with papa sauce on the side.

Really good burgers and friendly service too. The Papa burger was very tasty with seasoning on it. The onion rings were hand made and delicious. The fries weren't the greatest. The twist cone was good but not the creamiest. Lots of tables to sit at here, all outdoors.

Went here yesterday after visiting the area. The closest food place was A&W, so we stopped there. First time visiting, so I'll start with the young man taking the orders, which wasn't really pleasant or welcoming at all. I said "hi," and he said nothing back, lol. We ordered the chicken tender combo; we weren't asked grilled or breaded. When we got the order, it was grilled tenders. So we had to return them for breaded tenders. The chicken tender combo is $20, and I find that pretty overpriced. But I can say they tasted regular just like chicken tenders lol. They have a nice little outdoor seating area, which I thought was pretty nice. Overall, this place is just okay. I wouldn't come back here though.

We stopped in for lunch and ordered a double cheeseburger combo with fries and a root beer and chicken tenders with a Thai tea. The burger tasted like cheap meat, worse than the burgers you got in high school. The fries weren't bad, and the root beer tasted good as A&W root beer always does. The chicken fingers weren't bad but nothing great and the Thai tea tasted horrible, and we should've known not to order it from this place. The parking lot is tight. Burger King would be a much better choice. It seems there's no good place to eat in Lake George.

Lettuce burger lmao

Do not go here. I've been coming here since I was a little kid and this place has gone to shit in the last 2 years. Entire staff doesn't even speak English and they have AirPods in while they work. Waited behind someone for 15 minutes who waited when it was just us and them at the entire place. Overheard that their order was wrong. Then they got my entire order wrong. Overcharged me almost $15 as well. Told me they were out of root beer floats AFTER I ordered and paid for one. Ordered a double cheeseburger and they apparently thought I ordered a fucking lettuce burger (look at the picture below). Screw this place - will never come again.

WHEN: Sunday @ 4pm PET FRIENDLY RESTAURANT First come first serve outdoor seating area. We arrived right after lunch rush, and were able to grab an empty bench. We brought our dog, everyone were friendly to my dog and even brought our water for her. A&W was understaff. There were only 2 servers managing the front and back of the restaurant. Our server was scrambling to get each tables orders. You can tell it was so understaffed and it was stressful. Our server was friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgeable of the menu. WHAT WE ORDERED All beef coney cheese dog (regular) Wish I've gone for the foot long for a few more dollars bc I was hungry after eating it. It was a very tasty beef dog. Deluxe cheeseburger combo with fries Delicious, my fam loves it. Only downside is fries was very minimal. It didn't fill the container Regular cheeseburger Fam likes it Root beer float Diet root beer float Root beer You really can't go to A&W without getting root beer floats. It is the best to drink it at the og A&W.

5 stars for what it is; an old school drive in. Car hops are still a thing here, although there is a small seating area. Food is delivered on a tray that hangs on the window. Root beer floats are served in frosty glass mugs, as they should be. The burgers, hot dogs, and fries are good and the prices are right. For a bit of nostalgia, or just for a fun meal, this is a must.

Crispy onion rings and flattop griddles thin patty cheeseburgers featuring Car hops or picnic table service. Just what you want from a roadside burger stand.

This place was a pleasant surprise. We went to the A&W in Nebraska and the kids really wanted to go to another. It's typical fast food. I got the BLT but was surprised that it came on a sesame bun. It had plenty of fresh lettuce and tomatoes. There were three thick slices of bacon. It wasn't bad. My daughter got mac and cheese kids meal. Typical box stuff but she loves it. Her kids meal came with a free ice cream. My son was pleased with his chili cheese dog. My husband had the hot chicken nuggets. He said the hot sauce was good. The price for everyone was reasonable. But the real reason for this place is the fun atmosphere. There's only outdoor seating. The waitress was great. She was patient, cheerful, and really hustled. The place was quirky. It was all outdoor seating with limited parking. There's a Delorean outside that the kids was fascinated by. Definitely a nice place to stop by.

I'll admit that living near Trenton has made me a little spoiled when it comes to pizza, but even with that in mind, this was not great by any stretch of the national imagination. The main appeal was convenience. Giuseppe's was only a few steps from our hotel, and the idea of eating pizza on the balcony overlooking the lake at sunset sounded too good to pass up. The order was ready quickly, less than thirty minutes, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, despite asking for utensils and plates both on the phone and again in person, they forgot them entirely. A short walk back to the shop solved the problem, and to their credit, the staff handed them over without any fuss. The pizza itself was the kind of food that serves a purpose but not a memory. The crust was too thick and doughy, the sauce had very little character, and the cheese existed mostly to keep everything from falling apart. It was utility-grade food sold at premium tourist-town prices. We knew we were paying that tax going in, but even so, it felt steep for what we got. Still, it did the job. Our family had a meal, the sunset over the lake was beautiful, and we went from phone call to first bite in under forty minutes on a Saturday night. For that, I'll give some credit. But for the pizza itself, there's not much to recommend. Three stars for speed and convenience, not for flavor.

They have many seating options including up at the bar, tables on the top deck, and picnic tables in the grassy area where you first walk in or to the left of the building. Whether you sit on the deck upstairs or the picnic tables on the side of the building (our favorite) they are very accommodating. We are promptly greeted every time ( and we came here at least 4 times during our 6 days in Lake George). They even brought our dogs "doggie ice cream" (Dogsters) and some water. The food is typical "bar food" mostly fried foods and sandwiches but we enjoyed everything we got. There wasn't anything I said I would never order again. In fact, I ordered 2 sausage sandwiches 1 day we were here. If you sit to the left of the building, you can get a great view of the fireworks. It was so much fun that night. We had some good food, fantastic service, great drinks, and us and our dogs loved watching the fireworks. We'll be back next year!

First, there was live bluegrass-y music that was quite good. Second, we had an exceptionally sweet and attentive waitress who brought us iced water right away, including a bowl for our dog. She helped us choose a beer, telling us she recently had a training at the local brewery. It satisfied the hard to please beer lover in our group. When she asked if everything with our order was ok, I let her know that the cucumbers in the plastic cup of veggies that constituted the veg part of veggies and dip were spoiled due to the heat, and she responded with a fresh cup stuffed with celery sticks since my daughter said she would like some more of those. She also brought the dog a pup cup of doggie ice cream. Finally, the place has a terrific view of the lake and surrounding mountains. So for a fast food joint, it was a surprisingly lovely experience.

Love the old cash register and the serving staff is top notch. This is a busy restaurant, so expect to either make a reservation or wait for a bit. Let's talk about the fall menu that dropped this week. I wish I took a photo to show you, however, their main entrees (non-steak or seafood section) consist of 6 options and out of the 6, three of them are pork entrees. Baby back ribs, pork chops and then a third option. What was missing?? A chicken entree. There's literally one chicken sandwich on the menu and it's a sandwich. The bartender offered to have grilled chicken and veggie. Their only veggie is broccoli. Seasonal for fall would include squash usually. Love the log jam and will be back, but I may wait for a new menu to drop, this one didn't hit with me. I studied it for like 15 minutes trying to find something. It felt very alienating because I swell up from pork and I don't like eating a lot of bread or fried items. Had the haddock which was roughly a 3.5 oz portion with about 2 cups of broccoli. The broccoli was perfectly cooked, however, it's a cruciferous vegetable. In large quantities it can easily upset a tummy, which it did with mine. Enjoyed the haddock a lot, it was really well cooked. Ultimately, when I think of going to log jam, I don't immediately think I'm going for a burger, I immediately think I'm going for a healthy and delicious chicken entree. Next time maybe! The reason why having 3 out of 6 main entrees pork could be a dilemma for some patrons is: (1) it's inflammatory; (2) gout patients; (3) naturally high in sodium; (3) religious reasons. 4 out of 5 - look forward to the next menu drop!

Can I give 10 stars?…read more If we lived in the area, we would be here monthly if not more often. Incredible food (served in full or half portions), craft cocktails (I had a tomato infused vodka martini), and a welcoming and friendly staff. When we arrived, the restaurant was just opening but not quite ready for guests, so one of the servers came out and chatted with us for a while. How many other places do this? The food was so good and creative and plated in a tempting way. It almost felt a shame to eat it. Accolades and kudos to the BEST restaurant in LG.

My husband and I shared a few appetizers and a few half plates so we could both taste a bit of everything. The only thing we didn't really like was the tuna appetizer. If you are contemplating trying the wild boar sausage it was absolutely delicious and I'm so glad we tried it! Now for the negatives. When I made the reservation I let them know it was for our anniversary. I didn't expect special treatment but we felt it actually went the opposite of being special. When we were led to our table we walked through a very nice and cozy dining room into a way less nice side room at a four seat table. Almost immediately after sitting multiple people came in and were arranging tables and chairs around us to accommodate a party. We were quickly told we should get our order in asap as when the party arrived the kitchen would be busy making their meals. I honestly was floored by this remark. The last thing you want on a special occasion is to feel rushed. I'm sure they thought they were being helpful but it just felt unwelcoming. By the time dinner came we were the only ones in there surrounded by a large party of other people. Why the room wasn't kept for just the party is kind of baffling because we were just two people and could have easily fit somewhere else. While dinner was tasty I was not at all happy with dessert. We ordered the peach cobbler, which is one of my favorite desserts. When it came it was a chopped up peach sauce on top of what seemed to be some type of very dense spice cake. My husband somewhat enjoyed it because he likes spice cake but we left most of it because it wasn't at all like a cobbler. And not something we would have ordered if it had been properly described. On the way out to leave we again walked through the other dining room and got a better look at how much nicer and romantic it looked with much more private tables for two. So disappointing. All in all I think we would give this place another shot for a more casual dinner. But I would absolutely never even consider coming back for a special occasion again.
