We came here because we wanted to sit on the water, and with a 4.3-star Google rating, we figured the food had to be at least decent. I genuinely have no idea how it has that rating. The view is beautiful, and our server was friendly, but unfortunately that's where the positives end. The $36 lobster fries were especially disappointing. The menu makes them sound like they're tossed in buttery flavor, but they were just plain fries with a tiny piece of lobster sitting on top. Definitely not worth the price. Then there was the "award-winning" Lagoon mac and cheese. If this is award-winning, I'd love to know who the judges were. It was overcooked macaroni floating in what tasted like warm whole milk soup and virtually no flavor. It was basically a stomachache in a bowl. The buffalo chicken wrap was more like a snack wrap than an actual meal. If you're hungry, this won't do it. We also noticed another table order pizza. After one slice, it just sat there, and judging by the reheated appearance, we can only assume it wasn't much better. We expected to be paying for the waterfront atmosphere, but we didn't expect the food to be comically bad. Come for the view if you must but eat somewhere else. read more

The views here are phenomenal, obviously. We sat inside but were still able to see the lake. The service was delightful! It was pretty empty & quiet & our waitress was able to perfectly capture that sweet spot of not coming over too often but making sure we were taken care of & not in need of anything. The menu options are great for everyone. There are plenty. The wings were. so. good. Hearty, meaty, great flavor, even the naked version we ordered. I was between 4 & 5 stars for this place but my kiddos are adamant about 5 stars!! My only critique would be the pizza is a little doughy & the sauce is alright, but it's not bad. Came here for dinner while spending a night in Lake George. Didn't realize we had been here before a few years back. They only had seating left at the bar so we opted for that. Their beer selection is pretty decent. The pizza was nothing specials but the sliders were pretty good. What's better than to spend a lazy afternoon by the lake with good food, music and service?! Plus it's so dog friendly. Parking isn't easy on the main stretch but you can find plenty parking one street away. The restaurant isn't easy to find, but know that it's easier to find if you walk along the water. I love the staff here, they were friendly, and always making sure if we were doing ok. The food was good and portions were huge. He prepared to take home some. read more

We visited The Lagoon off season (in October) when the choices were limited, splitting a Greek salad and a veggie lovers pizza. The Greek salad was good, fresh, and huge. Went on a Wednesday night at about 7pm, this is during the end of October so the season is mostly over and few places are still open. We were sat immediately and there were heaters throughout the room that kept it warm even though it's currently in the 50s and right on the water. Everyone ordered the special steak au poivre, it was absolutely amazing. The steak was cooked perfectly to our preference, the sauce tasted wonderful, I dipped my potatoes in it. The green beans were just okay, they were not fresh, but everything else was so good it didn't matter. I would 110% recommend ordering the steak au poivre. I hate to give such a bad review, but honestly... go anywhere else. we were sat and every table sat around us was served their drinks and apps before anyone even came to bring water. I had to get up and ask if we had a server assigned. My husbands beer was skunked, the kids milk was warm, the food was sub par for bar food (34$ for lobster fries and the lobster was dried out and tasteless... I should've know better but the menu description got me), and the service was the worst I've ever experienced. I really wanted to like this place: on the water, great looking menu, live band... don't do it and I wish I hadn't. The only saving grace for getting a 1 star was that the server at the hostess stand who I asked if we were assigned anyone to help us came over and took our drink orders herself and comped my drink. The views of the lake were beautiful and peaceful We ordered their Tenderloin Tip Poutines that hit the spot - especially the gravy. However, we never received any text updates; no confirmation and no notification when our table was ready. Out of frustration, we went to the restaurant next door and were seated at with no issue. We stayed there for two hours, and still never got a single message from this place. It felt like we were being passed over intentionally, and unfortunately, we could not shake the sense that discrimination may have been a factor. Walked by and thought we've never been here. Should have kept walking. Prices were a bit high, but it's a tourist town. Mozzarella sticks (4) were 12$ and took forever to show up. They were cool( temperature) and despite the wait to get them the waitress was taking the plate away while we were still eating them. So, after placing our order and waiting about 20 minutes, we had to wait another 15 - 20 minutes for the order to be placed again. Visited Lake George on our annual fall motorcycle trip through the Northeast and spent a few days here. We were looking for a place to grab a drink before dinner and found this place and stopped in because it has a view. Had a sketchy vibe to it to begin with. Visiting with family and initially we were seated by the kitchen door and on a Monday evening though it's June 30th didn't expect a poor seating. Our party was 8 & their website states parties of more than 8 will be seated separately therefore I didn't expect such a poor seating ... both booths sat 4 by the kitchen door. I expressed my unhappiness and the waitstaff really didn't want to deal with me and would confront me with eye contact that seemed annoyed, so regardless of the customers unhappiness they had no tolerance for it. It's a beautiful place to dine if you have a good table & the food was good but I def wouldn't go for the food it's the atmosphere on the waterfront. We had a very nice lunch here in the quieter February month in Lake George. Had a great wood fired Hawaiian pizza which was great even with the cauliflower gluten free crust. Also a rodeo burger which was eagerly devoured! The server was especially nice and attentive. Enjoyed all the wood fired stoves heating the inside on a cold day.
