The food was excellent and truly delicious. Unfortunately, the service fell short. I do feel bad for the staff, as they appeared overworked, understaffed and overwhelmed. We arrived for our 6:00 p.m. reservation and were seated immediately. However, it took over 40 minutes for our appetizer to arrive, and our entrées didn't come out until after 7:30, which was an excessive wait. To make matters worse, one of our orders was incorrect--we received white sauce and angel hair pasta instead of the red sauce pasta we had ordered, clearly someone else's custom order. When I brought this to our server's attention, the only solution offered was to remake the dish, which would take additional time. Stopped by for dinner here while in Lake George. Easy to get a table. Friendly staff and service. Plenty of options to select from on the menu and a full bar. Refreshing drink to start off the evening - decided on Honey jack summer smash and a burrata as an appetizer to start. Both of us decided to have shrimp pasta as entrees which were both delicious. Pooh and I were here for supper last night and it was a wonderful experience We started our evening with Saluti Martinis which had basil oil and tasted delicious. For appetizers we felt nostalgic and had a Shrimp Cocktail. The shrimp were huge and quite tasty For supper, Pooh had Chicken Marsala and I had Chicken Cacciatore. Pooh loved his dish but felt the breading was a bit soggy because the sauce was poured over it The Cacciatore was delicious; the chicken fell off the bone and the sauce and pasta were amazing. We had a bottle of Pinot Noir to wash it all down. We were full so we took dessert to go. Pooh had a chocolate hazelnut dessert (can't remember the name) and I had a Cannoli. Was visiting Lake George with my husband for the first time and was craving for something Italian. We stopped by this place after seeing great reviews and we have really enjoyed the service and experience here! We started off with some clam with butter (very fresh!) with our drinks. He got the Cab Sav and I got the espresso hazelnut martini (one of the best martinis I had with a perfect balance of coffee and alcohol ). Checked in for a late dinner near 9:30 pm with my family after a sunset cruise. Our waitress was pleasant even though it was a late night dinner. Spaghetti meatballs were pretty good. Pesto pasta lacked a little taste, pena vodka came out hot and warm. The taste can't beat NY ITALIAN but it was late dinner. The ambiance was warm and modern with jazzy music back ground. This is the second time I have tried their food and it's AMAZING. First time, we ordered to go, second time was dining in. All the pastas I've tried were so delicious. It tasted so fresh even taking it back to our hotel to eat. We got about 4-5 different ones bc my family and I wanted to taste everything. Onto the dining in - my gfs and I tried the bread board and I had the braised beef. The bread board could have been more. I felt it was a bit slacking on the types available (2??). But the star of the show was definitely the beef. It was fall apart and so tender. The gravy and meat was packed full of flavor. I can still taste it in my mouth. Mmm!! First time going on Friday we were so impressed that we went back on Sunday and was not disappointed, had the veal Marsala and the wife had braised short rib ragu. We stopped in for a late lunch, and we are comparing this to other Italian restaurants. When we sat down, we noticed that one of the glasses had crude stuck to it and the small plates given to us still had what looked like dirty watermarks on them and the waitress removed and replaced them for us. For the appetizer, we ordered the pan fried mozzarella, which tasted good, but the cheese needed to be a little thicker. For dinner, we ordered the special, which was a tricolor tortellini in a white sauce and the mussels marinara with white sauce. The tortellini was heavy handed with garlic, and it made it taste like that was all you were eating. The mussels had a strong taste of rosemary which made it seem like you were eating rosemary and not mussels. Also, how does an Italian place not serve bread and butter as soon as you sit down? It would've been nice to dip it in the sauce that came with the mozzarella. The service was good. It was also hot in the one section we sat in because the AC unit wasn't working properly. We stopped in early on a weekday, surprised to see the lights on and open for business during the "off-season" in Lake George Village, when they pretty much roll up the sidewalks and hang the "see you next season" signs on the door. We sat at the bar and shared the antipasto which was delicious and easily big enough for the two of us with enough to bring home. We ordered the Burrata to start followed by the Alfredo and Penne alla Vodka. The Burrata was delicious and creamy, exactly as it should be, complimented by pesto and roasted red peppers.
