I'll admit that living near Trenton has made me a little spoiled when it comes to pizza, but even with that in mind, this was not great by any stretch of the national imagination. The main appeal was convenience. Giuseppe's was only a few steps from our hotel, and the idea of eating pizza on the balcony overlooking the lake at sunset sounded too good to pass up. The order was ready quickly, less than thirty minutes, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, despite asking for utensils and plates both on the phone and again in person, they forgot them entirely. A short walk back to the shop solved the problem, and to their credit, the staff handed them over without any fuss. The pizza itself was the kind of food that serves a purpose but not a memory. The crust was too thick and doughy, the sauce had very little character, and the cheese existed mostly to keep everything from falling apart. It was utility-grade food sold at premium tourist-town prices. We knew we were paying that tax going in, but even so, it felt steep for what we got. Still, it did the job. Our family had a meal, the sunset over the lake was beautiful, and we went from phone call to first bite in under forty minutes on a Saturday night. For that, I'll give some credit. But for the pizza itself, there's not much to recommend. Three stars for speed and convenience, not for flavor.

The lobster in the lobster roll was chewy and dry, the roll was crispy but it was as though they had made garlic bread with a hot dog bun, then shoved some sad lobster bits in it. The coleslaw was drenched in dressing, but bland enough that I ate it for some texture and filling after being left wholly unsatisfied by my roll. All in all, I get the impression this restaurant relies solely on the lake, and their proximity to giving you a view while you eat, almost entirely to distract from a subpar performance in every other aspect of restauranting.

Finally someone knows how to make a pizza in Lake George!! What a warm and welcoming feeling! The pizza was cooked with a perfect crust, Marinara sauce was excellent and the pie was adorned with plenty of mozzarella cheese! Just like in Italy ! We also had the Homemade Calzone oozing with Ricotta, mozzarella and meatballs! Love this place and the owners...felt like "home"! The fresh calzones we took home for desert topped it all off! Found this place by accident on vacation and happily surprised! The pizza is thin crust, but the taste suits it perfectly. The strawberry cheesecake actually made me slow down and savor my food bite by bite for once in my life. The staff was quick to serve and very knowledgeable about the area with many suggestions for places to visit. I was planning on purchasing a large salad and several slices to go - likely to equate to an additional $25-30 worth of business. Pros: Pizza by the Slice, depending on your liking. They had four slices of cheese and then all of the other pizzas were specialty unique pizzas. Fountain drinks, as well as bottled. So your preference is considered both ways! They give a cash discount They give Pennie's when they have them Cons: Rude staff! The pizza tastes delicious, so I'm sure my family will want to come back and hopefully give this another shot. Unfortunately, this trip was a complete miss. It doesn't take much from your day to say "hey how are you doing", or "have a good day". It felt like I was doing him a favor for being there doing business. I absolutely, by no means, felt welcome in that shop. The pizza crust was extremely soggy, likely from sitting too long while other items were being prepared. The toppings slid right off when we picked up a slice. The calzone was leaking greasy liquid, and the marinara sauce, which I once raved about, was acidic, bland, and lacking the flavor it used to have. After discussing it as a family, we all agreed that the food has become consistently bland, low-quality, and unappetizing. It's frustrating to spend $30-$50 on dinner for a family of three only to regret the purchase every time. I genuinely believe better training, stronger oversight, and a renewed focus on quality could make a significant difference. It's disappointing because Amores used to serve consistently great food. As a longtime local customer, I'm saddened to see how far the quality has fallen.
