I have been looking forward to coming to Stumpy's pizza for a long time! We follow the viral Pizza guy who does reviews, and he had come here and enjoyed his pizza. When you walk in, there's a small area for dining, and it's very quaint. Definitely enough for a small group of people such as 4 individuals per group. There's about 4 tables total. When you walk up to the counter, you'll be greeted. Hopefully for you, the greeting will be a bit more warm and welcoming than what I experienced. The gentleman with a scruffy beard had no interest in selling their menu or anything else for that matter. He was rude in his communication and really deflated my excitement. I did not feel welcome in his store, and all I did was ask for a pepperoni slice of pizza! I was planning on purchasing a large salad and several slices to go - likely to equate to an additional $25-30 worth of business. Pros: Pizza by the Slice, depending on your liking. They had four slices of cheese and then all of the other pizzas were specialty unique pizzas. Fountain drinks, as well as bottled. So your preference is considered both ways! They give a cash discount They give Pennie's when they have them Cons: Rude staff! The pizza tastes delicious, so I'm sure my family will want to come back and hopefully give this another shot. Unfortunately, this trip was a complete miss. It doesn't take much from your day to say "hey how are you doing", or "have a good day". It felt like I was doing him a favor for being there doing business. I absolutely, by no means, felt welcome in that shop. The had quite a selection of slices I absolutely loved that . Two slices are about the size of half a pizza I got 3 and ate two for dinner and one later that night They have a afternoon special two slices and soda for under 8$ by 4pm Service was fast in and out that's what I like too . Incredibly disappointing. The pizza here is good, not great, certainly not bad, but good- (see my previous reviews) and that is unfortunate because Stumpy's is the only game in town- and it would appear that they take advantage of that fact- if you don't like our arbitrary hours, too bad and that's the message that they sent my family again tonight... It's now been not once, not twice, but 3 times that I have called after 8:30 on a Saturday to order a pizza to pick up- not deliver mind you, but to PICK UP and have been told, "Sorry we're closed." First time, I can understand: 8:55, and hoping I could sneak one in- I get it, a "no" at 8:55 a reasonable response if your posted closing time is 9. But call at 8:45 and 8:35 and they refuse to make a pie to pick up? I call BS!!! Are you freaking kidding me? Do the girls have some place to be? Is Saratoga calling that loud that you can't HONOR your contract with your customers? Seriously? It's just not right, by ANY stretch of the imagination. NOT COOL LADIES. BE PROFESSIONALS. Change your freaking closing hours to 8:30 or 8:45 but don't deny regular customers a frigging pizza at a REASONABLE time before your POSTED closing time. I WANT to support a female owned business I'm guessing because I see the same two women working hard behind the counter every time I have been in. And as much as I want to keep a good pizza joint in my town, at this point, I will no longer be patronizing this business. I'm done. We placed an order for pickup for a large pepperoni pizza and a calzone with mushrooms & bacon during lunchtime on Friday. It was ready right around the 30 minute mark quoted to us over the phone & nice and hot when we picked it up. The calzone did not come in a box though; it was on a plate in a paper bag so the packaging was a bit peculiar. The pizza was quite large, but my grandparents weren't impressed with the flavor. My mom didn't mind it though. I thoroughly enjoyed my calzone, but it was smaller than any other calzone I have ever had. The portion size was great for one person, but in my experience calzones usually are good for at least two people. read more

I love that most restaurants will impress you the first time and let you down the next. Not so with Stumpy's Pizza. They delivered right away. Almost $20 for cold, overseasoned fries and I got Subwayed on the wings(only 11 in this "dozen"). It's all good though, you've saved me time knowing that I'll never eat there again! Kudos! read more

Usually our go to spot for delivery we haven't ordered in a while and decided to for dinner but was very disappointed tonight! My dad really wanted wings half mild half garlic Parmesan was informed that was something they couldn't do..he was extremely bummed but not the end of the world ..we also ordered garlic bread asked them to lightly toast it they usually do but today it was kinda burnt we also asked for light sauce on the large pie we got and unfortunately we didn't get that either we got the pie but definitely not light sauce...the only saving grace was the Alfredo!! Absolutely delicious they make their sauces from scratch so they are the only place we order our Alfredo from so was very thankful that has not changed! My family and I regularly order from this establishment. Throughout the pandemic they have been fantastic with their mask policy, being one of the few local places that felt normal to be inside of. Their flavor is unique to the area but similar to pizza shops in western NY. The pies are always good size and their menu is always affordable. So far, this is the best pizzeria I've been to in the Fort Edward/Hudson Falls/Glens Falls area. The pizza is very good. Nice crust, good sauce and toppings. My favorite is sausage and peppers. The Lumberjack (I think it's called), with multiple meats, is also good. I've also gotten the baked ziti (with sausage), and cheesteak heros, and again, better than any I've had within a 20 minute drive of Hudson Falls. After seeing this pizzeria win "Best in the Region" from The Post-Star (local paper), I had to stop in to try. My wife and I never heard the name before but after doing a search online, we figured out where this place was. I decided to try out a pizza last night as my late dinner choice. I ordered the large pepperoni and was told 20 minutes (not a bad wait time at all). The restaurant has a rustic look to it. To me, it looks like re-purposes barn wood, which is s nice touch. The staff is very friendly. The woman making the pizzas chatted with me and made me feel at home. I let her know I was a newbie to their place and she was happy to have me stop in to try out the place. I returned home to dig into the pizza. The crust is thin and chewy, just the way I like a New York style pizza. Cheese was plentiful as was the pepperoni topping. Sauce compliments well. I usually go to I Love NY Pizza in Hudson Falls for my pizza but Stumpy's will now be my "go-to" place. To the owners and staff, keep up the good work. You have a nice place to stop into and my first pizza from you was a great one. I will definitely be returning and letting others know about you. read more

Must've thought she deserved more so she blew her nose or wiped it on the bag, brought the bag back and then stuck it to the door. My mother then touched said bag. Not one out of the 6 people working on Thursday afternoon was wearing a mask!!! They were not keeping themselves safe or their customers wellbeing in mind. I was disgusted!
