A total great experience!!…read more Welcomed upon arrival and seated promptly with a reservation (suggested). Welcoming decor and staff was friendly throughout visit. The food! Meatball appetizer, big and rich in flavor with meatballs not too soft or hard. Great with warm bread that was provided. Main course was beyond big and easily two meals on each platting. Chicken parm was tender and nicely seasoned with pasta side. I had a special of peppers and onions in a spicy red sauce with crumbled sausage and bucatini as the pasta. It was cooked well and had a nice warm spice, but not over powering heat, easily two meals. Drink prices were market priced with a wine $ 8.00 for a good pour. Server was personable and attentive throughout our visit. It would appear the kitchen is small and staffed accordingly. I hear they limit take out orders when very busy and best to call ahead for complete info on a weekend. Overall great experience and will visit again.

It's a big open room with a moderately sized and full-service bar. The food is well-made traditional Italian with generous portions. We've tried a lot of the menu and haven't been disappointed. The meatballs are great. The wait staff are attentive, conscientious and clearly care about your experience. This is a family place, but dress appropriately and only bring your kids if they're well behaved. This isn't a place for unruly toddlers or crying babies. Make a reservation a few days in advance and show up 15-20 minutes early. You'll be happy you did and happy you came here.

My second visit to Mystico Cucina Italiana, and somehow it was just as impressive -- if not better…read more-- than the first. Consistency like this is rare, and it says everything about the standards they keep. I started with the Pomegranate Granita Oysters, and wow. Bright, refreshing, unbelievably fresh, and balanced perfectly. They were the kind of oysters you slow down for because you don't want the bite to end. I ordered the duck ragu again because I couldn't stop thinking about it from my last visit -- and once again, absolute perfection. Rich, comforting, layered with flavor, and yes... I cleaned the plate spotless. Not a drop left behind. From the hospitality to the execution of every dish, everything about this restaurant screams class, quality, and a superb dining experience. The team makes you feel welcome, the food exceeds expectations, and you leave already planning your next reservation. Manchester is lucky to have a place like this.

I went here to get away from all the seafood fare of New England, hoping for some good 'ol Italian…read more Well, I did get Italian - kind of. It's very new agey and different for the sake of being different. But, the pasta was delicious and high quality! The place has a major attitude problem, though. The aesthetics are off-putting and attract a crowd of the worst types of people. Had to listen to nothing but whiny spite and anger my entire meal from multiple groups of guests. The waiter was the worst aspect, though. I didn't even know he worked there when he approached me. He was dressed down more than a lot of homeless people I've seen. He also shared that same attitude of the guests and made my business feel like an inconvenience the entire time, having the nerve to expect a tip for bringing my food out to me, which I would have just done myself to avoid him. I can recommend carryout, if you absolutely have to have some pasta in this area, but not eating in, and don't get anything that seems weird on the menu. Unfortunately, the night fell well short of expectations. The evening started with the usual downtown Saratoga parking battle no fault of the restaurant, but worth noting. The free lot was full, it was below zero outside, and by the time we arrived we were already a bit rattled. We were seated promptly with our reservation, which was appreciated, but the dining room was ice cold. Tables are packed extremely close together; close enough that we were essentially part of the couple next to us on what appeared to be a very uncomfortable first date. If you're looking for an intimate or romantic dinner, this is probably not the place. The wine-by-the-glass selection was very limited only one cabernet option and the overall wine list seemed designed to push diners toward very overpriced bottles. Our server was slow to come over and didn't know the specials, which didn't help set the tone. We started with the spicy calamari, which was decent but nothing special about a 6/10. It was a bit chewy, which is disappointing for a restaurant positioning itself as high-end. For entrées, we ordered the salmon and the strip steak. Both were cooked properly, but overwhelmingly salty. If you love salt, this might be your dream meal. For us, it wasn't enjoyable we didn't finish our dishes and discarded the leftovers entirely. Maybe it was an off night for the kitchen, but given the cost and overall experience, we won't be returning. Saratoga has far too many excellent dining options to justify another try. We'd much rather spend our money at 15 Church or Chianti Il Ristorante, where the food and atmosphere have consistently delivered. Disappointing overall, especially for what was meant to be a special night out.
