A total great experience!! Welcomed upon arrival and seated promptly with a reservation (suggested). Welcoming decor and staff was friendly throughout visit. The food! Meatball appetizer, big and rich in flavor with meatballs not too soft or hard. Great with warm bread that was provided. Main course was beyond big and easily two meals on each platting. Chicken parm was tender and nicely seasoned with pasta side. I had a special of peppers and onions in a spicy red sauce with crumbled sausage and bucatini as the pasta. It was cooked well and had a nice warm spice, but not over powering heat, easily two meals. Drink prices were market priced with a wine $ 8.00 for a good pour. Server was personable and attentive throughout our visit. It would appear the kitchen is small and staffed accordingly. The chicken Parmesan is huge. I'm on a Gluten- Free diet. So they don't have Gluten- Free options. That is why I can't eat their pasta. I run on insulin so my BG readings were getting low. The bread and chicken Parmesan with Unsweetened ice tea is what I had. The staff is very nice. read more

The chicken parm was good. The waitress was very nice. The reason for this three stars is price! I find it shocking that they charge $25 for chicken parm and it doesn't even include a salad or soup. Those are NYC prices in Hudson Falls. There is no way that the overhead for that restaurant is more than it would be in NYC! If that chicken parm was priced at $20 and came with a salad that would be more reasonable. Pasta and sauce is so incredibly cheap to make. It's a simple Italian restaurant. They're very busy and the kitchen closes regardless how many people they have. Dinner service ends when they say. It's a big open room with a moderately sized and full-service bar. The food is well-made traditional Italian with generous portions. We've tried a lot of the menu and haven't been disappointed. The meatballs are great. The wait staff are attentive, conscientious and clearly care about your experience. This is a family place, but dress appropriately and only bring your kids if they're well behaved. This isn't a place for unruly toddlers or crying babies. Make a reservation a few days in advance and show up 15-20 minutes early. You'll be happy you did and happy you came here. read more

The food is great. There is no debating that. My issue is in calling, 3 days in advance, for a reservation. As usual, I received a voicemail confirming my reservation and then adding, "But I'm gonna need the table back by six so if you can come in 10-15 minutes early, call me back and let me know so I can change your reservation. This way you can have enough time to eat." I work. My reservation was for the earliest I could get there after work. I explained the dilemma to my mother and husband. They were both put off but I gave them the benefit of the doubt. They're just trying to accommodate everyone. The more I thought about, and recalling them telling my family that we had to be out by a certain time a few months ago, I began asking myself why I - the customer - will be paying to accommodate THEM. I called them and said, "I'm sorry, but I won't be able to accommodate you, and I am not going to make my party rush through their meal. Please cancel my reservation." I would have preferred them saying that they didn't have any availability. They're handling it the way they do tells me that they don't care about the customer experience or the quality in food and service. They only care about the money. Too bad. read more

A group of us went there a couple months ago. The food was good, but pricey. The restaurant was very crowded and extremely loud. Two of us use walkers, which had to be stored away from the table. The wait staff was very good. The tables were so close that you couldn't have a private conversation at the table. We all agree that we will not return. My husband and I eat here a lot. We usually sit at the bar. The food is excellent. The staff is very friendly. The owner is great. Someone on here said that they thought the price was too much but not really when you look at what you get get a lot of food you could actually split it. We went to DeNatale's last night (Wednesday) at 5:30 There were 5 of us. My brother and I grew up in Hudson Falls and were used to D'amicos restaurant. This place is sensational. We had tried to get there for months and it was definitely worth the wait. We started with 2 appetizers fried ravioli and pepperoni and cheese bites. They were hot cheesy and served with warm marinara sauce. Delightful. We ordered lasagna chicken parm chicken marsala and a chicken Alfredo pizza. Everything was oversized and delicious. We'll have enough for 2 more meals at home. The inside is very nicely decorated and tables are spaced apart so you're not on top of the next table. The bar is fabulous, well stocked and the beer is cold lol The owner Theresa is very nice and confirms your reservation. Do yourself a favor and check this place out P.S. I almost forgot. We took home 4 desserts because we couldn't eat another bite. They are Tiramisu Lemon Cake Carrot Cake and a Salted Caramel Cheesecake. All delicious. Prices are ok. Service was fine. Ambience was fine. Serving size was huge. But if you are going to have a great Italian restaurant you have to make a sauce that has you wanting to go back. Something that nobody else can create. The sauce was ... bland. Not horrible. Just not great. And if you are going to be a great Italian restaurant you gotta have a sauce that people talk about. I think people will leave here and talk about the fair prices and large servings. Not the sauce. You gotta have the sauce. One that is full of flavor and not acidic. One that you just want to get more of to dip your bread in. One that makes the pasta pop when the meat is gone. read more

This restaurant is in a fantastic building. The service was wonderful and the food was outstanding. Their meatballs are so very good and you get enough food on your plate to take home and eat for two days. Even the drinks were done right! I will definitely be returning. This is a decent restaurant, but very noisy and loud. You often are rushed through your meal.

So, if you're looking for ambiance and don't mind it being a little loud this is a great place for that. It's also right next door to the Strand Theater on the main drag. Parking maybe a little bit of an issue. We were fortunate to find a place fairly close by. We were there on a Saturday night and it was pretty busy obviously. We had reservations so we are seated pretty much on time. However, it took a while for us to get our drinks to start with. And though a little slow at times the service wasn't bad. The biggest problem, was that they were out of chicken at 6:00 p.m. on a Saturday night. I'm not sure how that happens in an Italian restaurant? To me, it wouldn't have been a problem because I would favor veal, but they don't offer any deal dishes. When you discount the chicken dishes maybe 20% of the menu disappears. Add to that that they were out of a squash dish that someone in our party wanted as well, it had a scratching our heads. Once the food arrived it was good and the portions were above average. We weren't totally disappointed, however we probably would not go out of our way to go back there unless we were attending the Strand Theater which I mention was right next door. read more

Right around the corner from the Strand, in a beautifully restored building that is now the Sandy Hill Arts Center the space is awesome: Bare brick walls, big widows, and a huge bar that extends along the entire side of the dining room! Our favorite thing to do is get a pizza and beer at the bar but they have daily specials, and awesome Osso Bucco night you will need reservations for and absolutely huge portions. My wife is treating me for my birthday. I've been wanting to come here for a while but either couldn't get in or timing just wasn't appropriate. But here we are! I've heard from several people who have been here and they say it is fantastic. Let's see if they live up to the hype. Atmosphere is relaxing. It's not a huge venue. But they can accommodate larger parties. Appetizer we ordered the house specialty fries with garlic aoli. Fries are crisp on the outside and so schrumptious on tender on the inside. For me the garlic is harsh but don't let that sway you...not a huge fan of garlic aoli. They also bring out fresh bread...we asked for a small dish of their marinar...to preview. It is a sweet sauce but really good. For main dishes I order chicken parm and my wife ordered shrimp scampi. Okay... as you will see in the pictures, portion sizes...HUGE! If you leave hungry...its on you. Chicken parm is delicious. Chicken, despite being a little think when I think chicken parm, tender and juicy. Pasta a did an upcharge for linguini because I'm not a fan of the pasta of the day which was penne. Only critique, pound the chicken down a little more. It is pan fried a little and then placed in the oven, I asked. But a huge piece of chicken. Let's just say... I don't think I was able to eat even a quarter of what I was served...dinner and lunch for a couple of days. My wife shrimp scampi...8 jumbo shrimp...cooked to perfection. The garlic was seen throughout...according to my wife not overpowering..we'll see . We passed on dessert...this time. Needless to say this place is going to do well. And from the period of time it took us to get in here, they are doing well. Make a reservation to ensure seating. They do serve dinner at the bar too. I don't know what frame of reference any of the previous reviewers have but from myself and my wife's perspective this was by far the worse so called Italian food we have eaten. The portions were rather large but this doesn't excuse the lack of flavor and taste in their tomato sauce including the meatballs. I've never had a thicker Chicken Parmigiana that was surprisingly tender but nothing special. Also, my wife asked for rigatoni instead of the linguini with her spaghetti and meatballs and the waitress actually said it would be an extra $3.00 for the change. What a joke! The highlight of the entire meal was the delicious appetizer of Tuscan Fries. Needless to say, we regretted not going to the Irish Pub two doors down. read more

Loved by the locals. We stopped by Hudson Falls for a birthday party and spent some time walking around and visiting the art center. We met locals who highly recommended DeNatale's. We made reservations for the following weekend. Unfortunately, everyone in my party of 5 was disappointed. For appetizers we had the meatballs and broccoli cheddar soup. Both of these dishes were very tasty, full of flavor. However, they were both barely room temperature. I had the chicken parm and while the overall presentation was lovely, there was little flavor. Basically it was bland. I like to think this is not the norm, perhaps it was an off day. I asked for no pasta as I practice a low carb lifestyle. I thought perhaps I could have steamed vegetables instead. There are no substitutions. I'm fine with not having the vegetables so I asked them to just serve w/o pasta however, they did anyway. My concern with the no substitutions, is this impacts people with dietary issues. Of course the easy answer is "don't go there" but is that really the only other option? What about customer service? What about 1 or 2 people with special dietary needs in a larger party? Are they forced to not eat or eat something not suitable for their diet because the restaurant won't make accommodations? I wish this place success. It's a nice restaurant in a great little town. I just hope they tweak a few things, consider making customers happy and add a little seasoning to the food. And please serve the meatballs hot (at least warm). read more
