We had an excellent time at Antonio's in early august, we were given a great water view table and the service for the most part was solid. I'm giving them five stars for the octopus appetizer on the menu, it was one of the best dishes I've eaten in a long time! But everything was delicious. We ordered our desserts to go and they seemed to forget about it but we finally got them in the end and all was well. Worth a visit if you want to skip some of the downtown crowds of Lake George. read more

Initially we were excited to try this place on July 4th based on its overall reviews but after our experience I looked at reviews closer and realized we arent the only ones that had this experience... we had a reservation for 8pm. We arrived a few minutes early and were second in line to be seated. The hostess said she would be right back to seat people that did not have a reservation then disappeared. We were asked by three more people if we had a reservation and told them all yes, and was told itll be a few minutes (the inside restaurant wasnt even half full, the outside tables had two free tables) so we waited. Then we were asked where we wanted to sit we said Outside then left for another several minutes. Everyone was running around like they didnt know what their jobs were. Eventually we were sat but left without any menus and empty water glasses. No one came over to us for at least 15 minutes. Then what looked like a bar-back saw us still sitting there without anyone helping us and asked if we were helped. We said no, he said he would be right back with menus. Several Minutes go by and we finally get menus, water, and 4 small slices of stale store-bought bread. He told us our waiter would be someone else and left us. Another 10-15 minutes go by and the same guy came back to take our orders, we gave him two appetizers and two entrees. It took 45 minutes to get our appetizers, in that 45 minutes no one checked in on us. By the times we got the food, it was cold. The $15 calamari was cold, wet and rubbery like it had been sitting under a heat-lamp for a long time, nothing fresh about it. My boyfriend's appetizer was also cold but covered in hot, generic marinara sauce. I sent the calamari back because it was virtually inedible(i never send anything back) the guy that apparently inherited our table but didnt have any serving experience did apologize and said they would whip up another one quickly. Another 20 minutes goes by without anyone returning and finally our entree's came out. No sign of the new batch of calamari and when I asked him he was confused and said "oh did you want them to make it?" I gave up and said no. We turn to our $30+ entree's and they are actually hot but bland. I got a shrimp risotto and the shrimp were large but over-cooked and clearly not fresh, definitely frozen. The dish was not bad but it was lacking any flavor, like the sauce came from a jar, no garlic or salt/pepper. Not a $30 risotto for sure but I hadnt eaten since the morning and we just spent several hours kayaking so I was hungry and ate it anyway. My boyfriends dish was much the same, not bad but no real flavor and store bought sauce. They offered us a dessert but we were just done with the whole experience. Its a shame because the view is beautiful but management is poor, the staff was all very friendly but clearly have no idea what they were doing and its poorly run. For the price of the food, its extremely lacking. I would normally give grace during a holiday if things were crazy and they were running slow but the dining room was virtually empty, there were kids running around all over the place screaming, and the food was not up-to-par. The price suggests they want to be a fine dining, but they left a lot to be desired. read more

Made a reservation days in advance, only to show up and be told the kitchen is 30 mins delayed and our reservation couldn't be honored for another 30-45 minutes. This was frustrating, but we got a drink and waited. Once seated, we order an appetizer of the burrata with prosciutto and it was good, but should have come with some sort of crustini bread. Meals came with good spacing and the gnocchi was as fresh with plenty of bolognese sauce. Our table also had the salmon with risotto which was okay. On our short stay in a Lake George, came across this gem for dinner. Looking for a nice Italian dinner, we weighed all the choices in town and settled on this one. Glad we did, the restaurant is located about a ten minute drive from town but the view and the food makes it worth the trip. Seated at a window table with a beautiful view of the lake, we started with a very nice appetizer and a glass of wine. Entrees were very good, and those that know me, I can be very picky. I have been to the Antonio's in Darien so it was great to experience Bayside location with the lake front view! I would definitely recommend to either sit outside or have a clear view of the lake from the inside! What a beautiful location for a restaurant. The inside of the restaurant is very refreshing, clean, and classy. The bar is full and offers a variety of drinks. I love how the menu is tailored to the resort (Bayside) with the specials and names of entrees, great touch. The appetizers are so good, our favorite being the calamari! The fried zucchini was something we had never tried before and was a hit! Everything was cooked and seasoned quite well. The wait staff is INCREDIBLE! Our waitress Nicole was super professional, never even needing to write anything down. The owner, Peter, has a wonderful personality and really makes the place flow smoothly. Without a doubt the best restaurant in Lake George. As soon as you pull into the parking lot and see the view you'll be seeing from your table is definitely a good start. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Now for the food, we had fried calamari, meat balls chicken wings and a side of eggplant parmigiana as appetizers, the mains were prime ribeye, gnocchi in vodka sauce linguine in clam sauce. The standouts were the steak perfectly cooked and the clam sauce is made the old school traditional way without the shells, everything was great. Ask for a table at the window if it's available it will elevate the dining experience. read more

I find it hard to express how terrible the food is here. We were so excited to try this new restaurant and hoped it would be good since the area is lacking any decent restaurants.. we were incredibly disappointed. The quality of food is relatable to Applebees at best ... and that's being nice. The mozzarella fritti is likely frozen mozzarella sticks with a sweet tomato sauce. "Cozze" mussels were very fishy. I ate three and they all tasted vastly different. For meals we got multiple different things. The linguine bayside I took one bite of and immediately sent back. The closest thing I can relate the flavor to is maybe a store bought microwaveable pasta dish? No flavor and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. Criminal at $32. They did end up taking it off the bill. We also got Salmon which had maybe a shake of pepper as seasoning otherwise was totally bare. Nona's Sunday sauce which was sweet and the meat lacked any flavor. Chicken parm which was described by my father as "edible but not enjoyable" We sat inside which has zero ambiance. It definitely felt very Applebees trying to be a nice restaurant. I can see sitting outside being better during the day with the view of the lake. Needless to say we will not be returning. Save your Money and eat at home or drive to Saratoga for a decent meal. read more

Came into town for the Belmont and was looking for a decent meal, reviews were decent for this place and we were focused on the Italian menu. On this visit we had several strikes from the restaurant that I will detail. First off we had reservations for 6 and the restaurant was half full, we arrived 15 minutes early, no table ready so they converted a table for 4 into table settings for 6. Empty tables on both sides of us that could have been easily pulled together. Sitting cozy is the word I will choose here. 2nd strike was the hostess seated us and then nobody came to wait on us for over 15 minutes, a guy handling the bar happened to see us and sent a waitress over. 3rd strike the bar crowd which consisted of a large party was actively trying to see who could be the loudest in the room, and proudly affected the entire restaurant by yelling back and forth from one end of the bar to the other that people here are just as loud as me! So much for atmosphere. 4th strike was the beer on tap was not good, had a weird smell and taste, asked the bartender for a bottled beer and was told no and had to try another beer on tap instead, also waitress had no idea what the seasonal Sam Adams was on tap, minor issue but still!. 5th issue ordered appetizers which actually came out after our meals arrived. As for the food it was mediocre at best, Nonnas Sunday sauce had a overcooked flavor to it and the Gnocchi tasted like it was straight up Chef Boy r Dee sauce. The pre prepared dessert was the star of the meal, sad. Finally got our bill, set out the credit cards to pay and the whole staff disappeard. After 15 minutes we went to the bar to try and pay our bill, the bartender gave us the best advice he said we should have just walked out without paying. After all of this we still paid the bill, still left a generous tip and a accurate review for this place. Shout out to the hostess and the bus boy they were the best, the rest not so much and if you were on site on 6/4/2026 rest assured you made it so we will never return and hopefully many will read this Google review and never waste their hard earned money coming to your place for a 1 or 2 star experience. I now understand why it was only half on race weekend. FYI went to a dive bar in town on Friday night and had a way better experience with the food and the staff!! read more

Don't waste your time. I called ahead to make a reservation and discussed that there were children in our party. We were told we could sit outside so the kids would have space to move. When we arrived we were seated inside. Ok, fine. We were seated for 10 minutes before they took our drink order. Took another 15 minutes to bring the drinks and take food orders. We had to ask for bread repeatedly. Over an hour and a half later we still had no food. No one asked if we wanted drink refills. We paid for the first round of drinks and left. read more

PERFECTION! My husband and I were visiting the area for our anniversary. We didn't have reservations but got seated quickly with a second row view of the lake. Beautiful! Our waitress Nicole made the best recommendations! We had calamari, which was the freshest and best we have EVER eaten! Seriously the best, seasoned and cooked perfectly! We also had the mixed greens salad that was perfectly dressed. My husband had the eggplant Parmesan and I had chicken Parmesan. The sauce was sooooo delicious, and you could taste how fresh the chopped basil was. Chef Lopez, don't ever leave! Kudos to this chef for the most amazing meal we've had in a long time. Ate there recently with a group of 10 visiting from out of town. Lovely setting, good service, and good food. My meal portion (a pork shank) was so big I took half home. I recommend this place if you're looking for an upper level dining experience in the Lake George area. It's located some distance from the village and is very quiet and serene. read more

Ordered Sunday sauce, watery can sauce over pasta with about two meatballs and a sausage, all very lackluster-- get a real Italian in there:/. Got the shrimp risotto- SALTY. 4 shrimp and I couldn't eat any of it. And the eggplant parm we sent right back, awfully watery and no taste whatsoever:( As for the environment, very outdated, only pretty area is the lookout to the water. read more

My cousin and I went here for a meal because it was nearby. Their official grand opening wasn't until the next day, but they were open for business. I would characterize it as "fine dining with no dress code". :) For appetizers we had the Burrata, and the grilled octopus ('Polpo' on their menu). Both were fantastic! Entrees included the sesame crusted tuna, and Nonna's Sunday Sauce (beef braciole, meatball, hot Italian sausage and rigatoni with marinara sauce over it all). The food was absolutely top notch! If you are in the area please make it a point to dine here. The wait staff was great too. Kudos to Lindsay (sp?) the hostess. She should get a raise! In fact, the owner, Antonio himself, stopped by our table at the end of the meal and chatted for a few minutes. What a great guy! You can tell her really cares about his food. Off the top of his head he knew from where they source the Burrata. If you are within an hour's drive from Lake George Village it is worth going. We dined at Antonio's on a Sunday in August. We had reservations and had asked to be seated by the window, which we were. Even on a rainy night the view was breathtaking. Our server was friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. He might have been almost too attentive. He gave us time to look over the menu and took each course individually. First, drinks, which were all fabulous! I had the Aperol Spritz as did my friend. Our husbands had a Negroni and a Lychee Martini. All drinks were well made and tasty. The bread basket was warm and delicious; our appetizers of calamari and a caprese salad were tasty. I ordered the Parmigiana di Melanazane (eggplant) (which is my standard when I am overwhelmed by choices, and is my favorite) was perfect. The portion looked small, but there was enough to take home for lunch the next day. My husband and my friend had specials that I do not recall, but they were both very pleased with. The friend's husband had Nonna's Sunday Sauce and he said it was delicious. We didn't choose dessert because it was had a Lemoncello Tiramisu at home that was calling to us. All in all it was a lovely experience with a spectacular view of Dunham's Bay. Definately a special occasion resturant for us but would recommend it to anyone. read more
