I loved the Stromboli there. It's covered with sesame seeds which amplifies the flavor of the dough. It was great, for a while, in that when I placed the order, I would get exactly what I ordered. Then, one day, I placed an order. When I order, I ask politely and say 'please' and 'thank you'. The man that answered, who I assume was the owner, wasn't in the mood. Wife and I stopped by PJ's earlier today after seeing the Barstool review and we were up that area anyway. A rather small place located in strip mall and young lady behind counter was friendly and attentive. We ordered 8-cut Supreme minus onions and 2 drinks, took about 15 minutes for the pie and I got a cheese slice while waiting. Pizza and cheese slice were both very good and sausage had some kick to it. Our only complaint was maybe too saucy for our liking but definitely worth a return trip. read more

So I'll give it a 2 star because the pizza is actually pretty good if you want to wait forever for it. About a month ago i called and ordered 2 pies nothing special a cheese and 1 gluten free meatball onion. The person in the other end said it would be ready in about 30mins. My wife got there about 25 mins later and they told her it would be another 20 mins. She overheard the only adult working tell the young man that he could never do a pizza in 30 minutes so stop telling customers that. I checked out Pizza Jerks on a whim tonight because it's close to my guesthouse and it was too hot to cook. They have two locations, one in Lake George and the one I discovered in Glens Falls. Nothing fancy, just a casual pizza joint in a strip shopping center and as the name implies, the menu is mostly pizza. I was actually looking for a sub though and after taking a look at the menu on their website decided to order a turkey bacon wrap, straight up, for take out.... Wow was I pleasantly surprised when I got home! The wrap was loaded with turkey and also had Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and mayo. It was really delicious! Both the gentleman on the phone and the young lady that helped me at the counter were extremely friendly, not jerks at all : ). Service was fast; I was in the shop exactly 10 minutes from my call time and my food was bagged and waiting for me. The place has seating but they seemed to be doing mostly take out business at the time I was there (around 6:00pm on a Monday) . my family goes to lake george often for spring vacations and this year was no different. we were up here for 4 days and tried pizza jerks' pizza. yum! we got a basic cheese pie but it was super good. the crust was thin and soft, they didn't overdo it with the cheese and tomato sauce was flavorful! there were 2 men working when i went and the one who took my order was very sweet! he was super helpful and answered all my questions. he's very patient! i was nervous to ask questions but he helped nonetheless and i was very happy it's right by the lake so you can take your pizza and look out on the water as you eat. the decor inside was cute and very cozy. love the wood! i wish i had taken photos! that's totally on me. i recommend!! read more

Placed order online at 430pm knowing they are busy on Friday. It stated it would arrived by 6:08 -6:18. This did not happen I called 4 times before someone answered at 7:05 just to tell me it wasn't in the oven at all after spending 10 mins of them trying to figure that out. I advised them to cancel my order due to the fact that had kids to feed. They called back 5 minutes later to tell me it was in the oven and was going to be 45 min to a hr before it was done. I think we finally found a fairly decent pizza place in the Glen Falls area. They offer several sizes of pies with lots of topping selections. Great friendly service. They are a bit pricey but it's worth it , especially when you just want pizza that actually tastes like pizza !They also have all sorts of wraps and subs . We ordered a large cheese pie , 8 slices, which was delicious. The slices were nice and thin with a light tasty sauce , plenty of cheese and a perfectly crunchy crust . Ordered a pizza with the name of old school. Also added wings. Buffalo style. Soooooo the pizza was a wet washcloth. Half the toppings were left in the box. It sucked. Buffalo wings ? Good Lord. Ordered a Philly pizza with half mushrooms. Got this for $29. I know prices have gone up but at least make the pizza worth it. The side with mushrooms also had very scarce meat you just cannot tell under the avalanche of mushrooms on that side. I walked in walked up to the counter, guy takes my order but does not process it as take out, sitting there at least 40 minutes, i see a guy in back splashing sweat from his forehead which settled all over the pizza table and the pizza, he notices us waiting and questions the cashier, repremands the cashier for not processing the order, additional 20 minutes and i just didnt come here to settle in like at a bar. While I was eating my pizza here, I noticed a Little Caesar's across the street (not yet reviewed on Yelp as of this writing). My thought was that the owner of that shop is either very ambitious, or very naive, because I don't see how a chain store is going to compete with the pizza here. I was "lured" here today not only because of its convenience but because I had a coupon in my Entertainment book. The coupon did what it was supposed to do: it made me aware of this place so that I'll come back again for excellent pizza. The pizza had a great crust - crispy with just the right amount of dough inside. The toppings were fresh. The sauce had a nice kick with distinct hints of red pepper and garlic, which for me made it stand out compared to many other pizzerias. No jar of red pepper flakes needed at the table. Placing my order at the counter for an eat-in pizza was a little clumsy, because their computer still required my phone number and a last name (I guess same software path for eat in or take-out). But that was hardly an issue with the coupon discount ($8 discount) and of course the pizza. read more

The first few times I had pizza jerks, someone else ordered it at work. It was phenomenal. So obviously I decided to order eventually. The first time I placed an order was an absolute disaster and I almost never ordered again. For some reason, their website will not allow me to select delivery even though I clearly and obviously am smack in the middle of their delivery area (for reference, I live just out of the west end in the closer direction). There was a coupon on the site I wanted to use, so I called and asked if I could just phone order and still use it. The girl on the phone was clueless and put me on hold for like 5 minutes to ask... a pizza chef from the sounds of it? No go. Working in the industry myself, it angered me that this place was willing to lose a $40 order over a 10% coupon. I hung up. I then thought about the absolute deliciousness I would miss out on, and so I placed the order online for pickup (with the coupon) and then called and asked them to deliver it. It worked. I still am unsure if I am getting my rewards. The service generally leaves something to be desired. Probably because anyone who could come up with everything on their menu is most likely stoned. But the pizza..... oh god the pizza. So many pizzas. All of them delicious. My personal faves are probably the hotstepper and the fusion... so far. And the garlic knots are HANDS DOWN THE BEST EVER garlic knots I've had outside of NYC, and actually better than most in the city. They are epic. The food I would give 10 stars. The service, 2 (delivery is not always prompt, but always within 5 min of what they tell you). I have never been inside, so I cannot comment on facilities. read more

Pizza Jerks has become my family's go-to lunch spot whenever we venture north. It's easily the best pizza in the Albany/Saratoga/Glens Falls corridor. Great crust that is just thin enough, nice greasy/salty cheese and good sauce. Reminded me of the pizza I had as a kid in NYC. The buffalo garlic knots are a winner too. The owner is frequently there and is a really nice guy to talk to. I don't really get the Jamaica theme, but whatever works. If you're picky about fountain soda, their fountain is not Coke/Pepsi products, they offer some unique stuff include a soda place that is local to Glens Falls. read more

If I were tasked with creating an (honest) marketing slogan for this place, it would be "Pizza Jerks: Aggressively Average!" That may sound like a dis, but it's not necessarily. There's nothing wrong with their pizza per se, but as I polished off the first slice, one word became lodged in my mind: "unremarkable." Neither the sauce or the cheese has a standout flavor. They were just sort of mild and inoffensive. The wings, likewise, were fine, but not great. The garlic knots were tasty, though I wish they had been baked a bit longer. (Nobody likes a soggy knot!) They don't have much of a dining room at this location so I'm guessing it's mainly for takeout and delivery. They do have an old school Ms. Pac Man / Galaga arcade machine, which is pretty nostalgic. Ultimately, I'm not subtracting any stars for the accommodations. These 3 stars are awarded purely on the merit of their boilerplate food! P.S. Don't even think about scoring one of those Pizza Jerks decals for free. It's going to cost you 93 cents to proudly display your love of mediocre pizza. read more

If I have a choice for pizza, this is the place I'll pick every time !!!! My favorite is the CBR, chicken and bacon pizza that they drizzle ranch dressing on after its come out of the oven. Garlic knots are a must as well every time we order. They do deliver, but it's only about a mile from my house so I usually just run and pick it up. Wings are always good as well, my favorite are the teriyaki sesame wings - just thinking about them makes me want to order. I find it funny how they're located across the street from another pizza place (won't name them directly, but well known for 'pizza pizza' in their commercial), but their pizza is a step below a frozen Tony's pizza I can do myself in my oven. When I travel to upstate NY to see family, we often end up getting food at Pizza Jerks. I've experienced their pizza two ways: all-you-can-eat slices, and plenty of take out. Take out is always fresh, hot and ready when we arrive. Their boxes are cool - they break down into plates and a leftover container, which is kind of ingenious. WE LOVE THE GARLIC KNOTS. Every pie we've tried has been pretty darn good. Prices are higher than what you'd pay for the pizza shop 'round the corner (if you have such a quaint generic pizza shop), but the quality and variety is worth it. Staff have always been kind and considerate, both over the phone and in person. All you can eat slice night was pretty awesome, and while I challenged myself to eat as much as possible, their slices are huge so I think I only got 3! They're not only big, they're loaded with delicious cheese (and toppings, if you get them), so they're very filling. We'll be back. And then back again! read more
