This was our second visit ro Rocco's. The first time there was only another table or two in the…read morerestaurant. This visit we were lucky to grab one of the last available tables. The place is small and has some nods to history via the wall mural. We were prepared to have a long wait (about an hour from seating to eating) as they make all dishes from scratch. Most groups were ordering pizzas and we opted for a meatball parm sub and their haddock puttanesca special. There were two servers on for the evening covering and they seemed overwhelmed by the rush which was not our experience before. While the food wait was expected it did take a considerable amount of time to get out drink order taken and then to have it arrive. In between ordering and getting our drinks I noted out server taking care of 2 other tables bringing out food and drinks. It took about half an hour for the bread to arrive at the table. The puttanesca was good and well seasoned but the meatball parm sub and fries were surprisingly under seasoned. We may be back again but will probably not go in when they are nearly full again.

You can tell they were sitting for a while. Like I said, pizza is decent, not "OMG, best pizza ever" decent, but it's not bad. Just don't expect it right away. Based on other reviews, this seems like a trend that they don't seem interested in fixing.

The place is ran by rude teenage stoners it seems. Very poor attitudes from the counter staff and even a cook (it appeared). I was a fan of the shop in Lake George, but the one is Glens Falls has left a pretty bitter taste in my mouth over a few visits. Truly disappointed. My friends, family will no longer be supporting them. Not worth the above average prices for skimpy servings either. read more

I was so excited to eat a yummy chicken wrap i order every time until i unwrapped the paper, cut it in half, and saw that it was just chicken and lettuce DRY. I then had to suffer eating dry leafs and chicken. service took 20 years too but the ambiance was ok. read more

One of the longtime managers, who has been there as long as I've lived in the area, is consistently friendly, outgoing, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, great customer service can only do so much when the food quality continues to suffer. We've received credits multiple times for poor-quality orders, but at this point, we no longer want credits--we simply won't be ordering again. Our most recent order was the final straw. The pizza crust was extremely soggy, likely from sitting too long while other items were being prepared. The toppings slid right off when we picked up a slice. The calzone was leaking greasy liquid, and the marinara sauce, which I once raved about, was acidic, bland, and lacking the flavor it used to have. After discussing it as a family, we all agreed that the food has become consistently bland, low-quality, and unappetizing. It's frustrating to spend $30-$50 on dinner for a family of three only to regret the purchase every time. I genuinely believe better training, stronger oversight, and a renewed focus on quality could make a significant difference. It's disappointing because Amores used to serve consistently great food. As a longtime local customer, I'm saddened to see how far the quality has fallen.

In recent weeks I have repeatedly ordered their macaroni and cheese bites along with a ricotta cheese pizza and or their tasty tye dye pizza. For those of you not in the know, it is the perfect balance and combination of classic pesto, vodka and marina sauce made into a rectangular shaped pie. Whats not to like here, as all three flavors just work. It is a party in my mouth and it has me hooked. Unfortunately the pickup time continues to be long. When I'm told 25 minutes, the actual time my order is ready is in 45-50 minutes. I try not to nitpick but this has been happening consistently. This week, I happened to have a hankering for some apps so I spur of the moment called in for their west ave sampler. I was excited to try it, as the description on their website said the sampler comes with mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, onion rings, breaded mushrooms, mac and cheese bites, chicken tenders and fried ravioli with your choice of 2 sauces. I didn't expect a mountain of apps but a nice serving size. I asked if I could substitute the jalapeño poppers for extra mac and cheese bites as I cannot eat spicy. I was told over the phone no problem which I thought was very nice. After grabbing my order and driving home, I noticed that the mac and cheese bites were missing. I called over and was placed on hold after telling them about the missing item. When the lady got back on the line, she said she checked with the kitchen and was told it was in my order. She then said I don't know where your mac and cheese bites could have gone! I am stumped as she was putting the blame on me. I am a truthful person and would never think to do something dishonest like that. You can only imagine how taken aback I was. In my opinion mistakes happen all the time so I was not calling to give them a hard time. I only wanted to get the extra mac and cheese bites that I initially asked for. After some hesitation over the phone, I was told that they would make an order of said item which I could either pickup or they would deliver. I was happy that they delivered the item to me, as I am not far. It took awhile to receive, as the long wait time is the norm here. Alas, when I got my delivery it was not the extra mac and cheese bites that I originally asked for but 5 small nuggets. Again, not to harp on things but I am a customer willing to pay more if that's what it takes. I am not one to expect it to be given to me. Needless to say, these experiences has left me sad. I really wanted West Ave Pizza to be one of my regular go to's. Their pizza is good, but customer service and overall issues here are just too much for me.

Our go-to order is 1 pepperoni pizza, popcorn chicken, Caesar (they stuff full of croutons), wings and onion rings. Their onion rings hit the spot; they're not fancy just CRISPY. This is the perfect place to order from if you're just looking for a quick meal that is available via delivery. They're always our clutch. We've picked up a few times, and the restaurant really is made for eating in. The employees there are very competent and accommodating.
