At least the absolutely flavorless wings were moist and not dry. Best I can say. Simply flavorless if you don't count the blue cheese. Ordered crispy. Not remotely close. Waste of money. Then the star of the show. The pizza that was ordered "well done". After the wings, we were really looking forward to the pie. Open the box, what a letdown. A clearly doughy white crust without the slightest touch of browning let alone a touch of char from being "well done". We choked down two slices as we only eat dinner and through the rest in the garbage. Tasteless sauce. Minimal cheese. Toppings that looked like they were tossed on by the fistful, not spread out at all. $41.38 literally went into the garbage. So much for dinner. What a joke. On us...

Called at 6:57, was on hold for 3 minutes, when the person finally came on the line they said oh, it'll be going out another 15 minutes or so, we're backed up. Sorry. That was it. Nothing to accomodate the 1/2 hr delay. Ordered (and paid for) an extra blue cheese. Didn't get it. Mind you, in addition to the delivery fee, I also added a generous tip and they are only half mile away. All we ordered was a medium pizza and boneless wings. You can tell they were sitting for a while. Like I said, pizza is decent, not "OMG, best pizza ever" decent, but it's not bad. Just don't expect it right away. Based on other reviews, this seems like a trend that they don't seem interested in fixing.

What was once one of our go-to spots has become a repeated disappointment. I want to be clear that the front-of-house service has always been excellent. One of the longtime managers, who has been there as long as I've lived in the area, is consistently friendly, outgoing, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, great customer service can only do so much when the food quality continues to suffer. We've received credits multiple times for poor-quality orders, but at this point, we no longer want credits--we simply won't be ordering again. Our most recent order was the final straw. The pizza crust was extremely soggy, likely from sitting too long while other items were being prepared. The toppings slid right off when we picked up a slice. The calzone was leaking greasy liquid, and the marinara sauce, which I once raved about, was acidic, bland, and lacking the flavor it used to have. After discussing it as a family, we all agreed that the food has become consistently bland, low-quality, and unappetizing. It's frustrating to spend $30-$50 on dinner for a family of three only to regret the purchase every time. I genuinely believe better training, stronger oversight, and a renewed focus on quality could make a significant difference. It's disappointing because Amores used to serve consistently great food. As a longtime local customer, I'm saddened to see how far the quality has fallen.

I haven't gotten pizza here in a while as I have noticed that their wait time is long. However I…read morestill like their pizza. After a long break, I decided to give them a try again. In recent weeks I have repeatedly ordered their macaroni and cheese bites along with a ricotta cheese pizza and or their tasty tye dye pizza. For those of you not in the know, it is the perfect balance and combination of classic pesto, vodka and marina sauce made into a rectangular shaped pie. Whats not to like here, as all three flavors just work. It is a party in my mouth and it has me hooked. Unfortunately the pickup time continues to be long. When I'm told 25 minutes, the actual time my order is ready is in 45-50 minutes. I try not to nitpick but this has been happening consistently. This week, I happened to have a hankering for some apps so I spur of the moment called in for their west ave sampler. I was excited to try it, as the description on their website said the sampler comes with mozzarella sticks, jalapeño poppers, onion rings, breaded mushrooms, mac and cheese bites, chicken tenders and fried ravioli with your choice of 2 sauces. I didn't expect a mountain of apps but a nice serving size. I asked if I could substitute the jalapeño poppers for extra mac and cheese bites as I cannot eat spicy. I was told over the phone no problem which I thought was very nice. After grabbing my order and driving home, I noticed that the mac and cheese bites were missing. I called over and was placed on hold after telling them about the missing item. When the lady got back on the line, she said she checked with the kitchen and was told it was in my order. She then said I don't know where your mac and cheese bites could have gone! I am stumped as she was putting the blame on me. I am a truthful person and would never think to do something dishonest like that. You can only imagine how taken aback I was. In my opinion mistakes happen all the time so I was not calling to give them a hard time. I only wanted to get the extra mac and cheese bites that I initially asked for. After some hesitation over the phone, I was told that they would make an order of said item which I could either pickup or they would deliver. I was happy that they delivered the item to me, as I am not far. It took awhile to receive, as the long wait time is the norm here. Alas, when I got my delivery it was not the extra mac and cheese bites that I originally asked for but 5 small nuggets. Again, not to harp on things but I am a customer willing to pay more if that's what it takes. I am not one to expect it to be given to me. Needless to say, these experiences has left me sad. I really wanted West Ave Pizza to be one of my regular go to's. Their pizza is good, but customer service and overall issues here are just too much for me.

Ambiance is the old Wilton mall, which is in the process of a major renovation. Love this old mall. Pizza- we ordered the Hawaiian large. I break the pizza into 3 categories - crust, toppings and sauce. Starting with the crust - 10/10. Thin crust. Well cooked. Minimal flop. Great thickness. Okay - toppings...this was supposed to come with extra cheese- and I would say this was light cheese. No cheese pull at all. Toppings were a little sparse. Sauce- I'll say the same for the sauce- seemed to taste okay but too little of it. So out of 30 possible points- I'd be at 20 points. 5/10 points each for toppings and sauce. I think we will try them again, and communicate our preferences for more cheese and mire sauce.
