Ordered from DoorDash and it was the worst order I've ever placed. Paid $35 for a cheeseburger and a bacon cheeseburger, along with fried onion rings. Onion rings were burnt to a crisp, and the burgers were tiny. Had to wait almost an hour for my order to show up. Even the DoorDash driver was angry because he had to wait over 25 minutes for the order to prepared. You certainly don't get what you pay for here. I don't see this place staying open for very long and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Burgerfi in Sartoga Springs NY at 460 broadway has reopened. The new hand breaded and battered chicken tenders are my new favorite item at burgerfi.

This place really delivered on our first visit! The decor is modern industrial, complete with sticky floors, and we were surprised how big the room was. Apparently there a stack of laminated menus in a pocket on the wall to the left before you get to the register, and since this was our first visit, it took us a good few minutes to decide. We got the cheese burger with onions and cry + fry on the side, and the food came out without much delay. First things first though: I'm a sucker for self-service condiments and drink machines, and they had both! The fries were exactly as they should be - hot and crispy on the outside and hotter and tender inside. The ingredients on the burger looked and tasted in good condition, and we devoured everything in no time. What would have made this a 5-star experience is juicier patties, crisp onion rings, and for onion ring batter to not be overcooked so much that it falls onions. We quite liked our first visit and wouldn't mind going back.

I ordered two kids hot dog meals. Both hot dogs were disgusting: they were tough and difficult to chew. I then went to eat the french fries that came with them and saw a long hair wrapped around one of the fries (photo attached). This was straight out of the bag it came in (and not the hair is not the color of my hair) so it definitely is not mine. For the amount this cost me ($17) I'd rather get a good meal. It's shameful to charge that much for something inedible.

SWAG (SPICY WAGYU) BURGER and beer batter onion rings to go! YUMM

My better half had a Cosmopolitan, which she enjoyed. Started with the charcuterie board (You choose a total of five meats and cheeses). For cheese we selected Burrata (cream filled mozzarella), Drunken Goat (goat / red wine dipped) and Parmigiano (cow / the real thing). The meats were Serrano Ham (dry cured Spanish ham) and Speck Ham (dry cured and lightly smoked Italian ham). OMG. Delicious. And the portions were on the hearty size. For a main I had the Mussels (garlic, butter, white wine, chili and fennel pollen). Another OMG. It was divine, and we had bread to soak up that wonderful sauce. We also had the Lobster Pizza (lobster, tomato cream, spinach, leeks, roasted cherry tomatoes, ricotta and grana padano). This was only ok. Not enough lobster, in my opinion. Overall, a very good meal before the concert.

The remaining slices were essentially on the darker side of well-done, almost burnt ends. For a restaurant positioned as an upscale dining destination on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, I expected much better. The quality of the steak was more in line with what I'd expect from a chain like Applebee's than a higher-end establishment. The service started out excellent, but unfortunately declined as the meal went on. By the end of the evening, we felt largely forgotten.

It was a crowded Sunday night (and rightly so) so we sat at the full service bar instead. Huge shoutout to the girl behind the bar who served us - we didn't get her name, but she was just wonderful. We aren't big drinkers so we decided to split a sangria and a margarita and she happily split it into 3 tiny glasses for us. I ordered the steak bites off the dinner menu and the ham croquettes off of the happy hour menu. Both were incredibly flavorful and just the right size! The complementary bread and olives paired perfectly with it too! The ambiance of the restaurant was warm and inviting, a place where the community can come and gather, which I love to see when visiting new places. Dining at Boca Bistro was an excellent way to feel welcomed into Saratoga Springs and certainly makes me want to return again soon!

The steak app was super delicious, and so were the garlic shrimp. The bread and tomatoes was ok but the bread was slightly burnt which impacted the flavor. The omelette was good but not my favorite. We opted for churros for dessert and it was a large portion but very much so overcooked.

The staff welcomed us in, and although they wouldn't let us sit outside (they were hoping for a four-top that never came), they treated us well. I was in the mood for a burger, and our server was effusive about the bacon jam on the Broadway Burger. When I was more into the classic Merc burger, he let me add bacon jam to that one, and I'm pretty sure they didn't even upcharge us for it. In any case, it was a great burger. A double patty smash with an excellent bun, plenty of cheese, and comeback sauce which I've never been sad about. They offer tater tots if you'd prefer them to fries, and I quite enjoyed them. In his list of recommendations, our server did not mention the baby kale caesar salad, but my wife was already set on it. It's a universal truth that places are not known for their salads, and The Merc is no exception. It was fine, I guess. It's the price my wife pays for occasionally ordering healthy, and she deserves everything she got. Unfortunately, she also wanted half of my burger, so I had to suffer as well. #marriage

We were hungry, and a quick Yelp search led us here. It was a beautiful day so we elected to eat outside. The courtyard is an attractive space. A canopy of umbrellas dangle from above giving a whimsical yet effective cover from the sun. The menu is rather extensive and offers a nice variety. I ordered the Druthers Smash Burger and my wife ordered the Braised Short Rib French Dip. While we waited for the food our waitress brought out complimentary homemade potato chips along with a dill dipping sauce. The chips were light, crispy, and cooked to perfection. The dipping sauce was tasty. The burger and french dip were excellent. They have a nice variety of beers to choose from. I was curious about Uncurious. It is a New England style IPA and after trying it, I declared it the best beer in Saratoga Springs! My wife had D-light. And I honestly think it is the best light beer I've ever had! Service was friendly and professional. Turns out our waitress shares my wife's occupation (teacher). They had a nice conversation. She was super friendly. Coming from NYC, we were not quite shocked by the prices, but if you're not used to dining in Manhattan, you might be. That said, the portions are of the upstate variety, so you may not want to order quite as many plates as you might in the city. (We were bursting at the end of the meal.) Our server was helpful in narrowing down all the things we wanted to order. We were a little more intrigued by the starters than the mains, and so we rolled with the wedge salad, the crispy oysters, and the imported burrata. These were all excellent decisions. The wedge is everything you ever wanted in a wedge salad. Pickled red onions for acid, bacon for bacon, roasted tomatoes, crispy onions for texture, all tied together by a creamy dill blue cheese dressing. I'm not exaggerating, this was one of the best wedges I can remember, and I've had more than my share. The burrata was burrata. The cheese was creamy, paired with some port wine apple jam for sweetness, fresh basil, and hazelnut nougat. It was quite good, if not exactly special, and a hearty plate with the grilled focaccia accompaniment. The crispy oysters was one of the best things I've eaten this year. Perfectly fried fresh oysters are never bad, but they were laid over this incredible corn pudding that was rich and creamy and set off by the bacon and bone marrow jam, and a bit of roasted poblano. Honestly, this dish alone made the entire experience. Truly. We suspected we may be going overboard with the starters, but we were full after they were done. The Falkland Islands sea bass we ordered for a main felt like as much of an afterthought as a $60 plate of fish can. To be honest, I expected to love its Asian flavor profile (miso-marinated, bok choy, shiitakes, snow pea salad, crispy wasabi and shallots), but it fell a little flat. Well cooked, but it was outshined by the oyster dish. One final note: If and when I return, I'll stick to wine over cocktails. I'm not sure if it's because it was a Tuesday and the B team was on call, but of the three cocktails I tried, two were off-balance, and just not of the caliber I expect at this price point, at a restaurant of this quality.
