The food at the cantina is wonderful Mexican food that tastes amazing. I had the fajita and it was delicious, and I had the nachos appetizer which I thought was good with pineapple juice. Our server Jake was very nice and constantly checked up on us. There was however a party of 17 and their was a guy who looked like jelly roll who was chugging drinks and making chants, but the overall ambience experience was still good. read more

Cantina 32 - Phenomenal Apple Cider Margs!!! - Tacos Near Me - Bolton, New York

One of the best tacos I've ever had. And I've had a lot. Fresh ingredients, well balanced with the spicy sauce on top...but not too spicy. I'm a straight tequila person but I tried a Watermelon Margarita and it was perfect. Not heavy at all. Again fresh taste and ingredients. Not a heavy mix flavor. $1 shots were also very good! 6 later im here to say you must stop in! The amount of shrimp was awesome! read more

"Out in the West Texas town of El Paso I fell in love with a Mexican girl Nighttime would find me in Rosa's cantina Music would play and Felina would whirl" (Marty Robbins) When visiting the Lake George area, you'll discover so many restaurant choices along Bolton, New York's Lakeshore Drive. But it's hard to imagine anyone having a better experience than we had at Cantina 32. This five-star experience starts off with the staff. The hostess that greeted us and our server (Kimberley) were about as engaging, friendly, helpful, and charming as anyone we've dealt with. They were so nice that after our dinner we had a long conversation with both in front of the restaurant at the hostess stand. After we made our U-Turn to get back to our hotel, they both waved goodbye as we passed their stand. We chose an outdoor table because the weather was so nice. My wife ordered the Cantina Chicken Quesadilla ($17) that was served with tortilla chips and cantina sauce, sort of a mild chipotle crema. She passed on the otherwise included rice. The dish was four big slices that were generously stuffed with chicken, onions, peppers and cheese. I went with a Cantina Salad with Chicken ($15.45). It was a colorful beauty of a dish with a shredded lettuce base topped with corn, onions, olives, green peppers, tomatoes, and chicken cubes. It was served with the same Cantina sauce. The food was great, we both loved our dishes. We also noticed a bit of a regional difference between the Lake George version of the quesadillas and the version we're used to. At home they are traditionally served with sour cream and salsa, but not here. I asked for salsa for my salad, and what came out wasexcellent -- clearly homemade and full of flavor. Our meal ran under $35 before tip, and that included some leftovers on the quesadilla. If you're ever vacationing in Lake George, trust me... you will LOVE Cantina 32. read more

The food was really good and I realized it's expensive in Bolton Landing but over $60 for three tacos a quesadilla and chips is a little crazy read more

Fantastic service, great food and a fun atmosphere! Reasonable prices. Fun late night crowd too! Good margaritas!!!

On a visit this week, I ordered shrimp tacos at the recommendation of the server as their top meal. I also had chips and a mango drink. The shrimp in the tacos did not have any seasoning in them, which really surprised me. It's the foundation of the dish. read more

We stopped for lunch today; mine was shrimp over a salad and the other was pork tacos, both delicious!! The serving sizes were more than enough, the pork was tender, and the shrimp was seasoned perfectly! Staff is friendly and sitting outside on the porch is fun in the summer! I highly recommend! read more

Wanted this to be better a spot than it was. We were able to sit as soon as we walked in and the drinks were decent (margaritas were a little watered down), the main course was very good flavor (delicious tacos and quesadillas), but the chips, guacamole and salsa was very disappointing. For the price you only got about 2 tablespoons of guac. The salsa (maybe 2 tablespoons as well) was not tasty at all. We actually didn't eat it after trying it and they charged us an extra $2 for it. We also got charged $2 for a tablespoon of sour cream as well, but the waitress swapped out the sauce that normally came with the tacos for the up charged sour cream. With that system they shouldn't up charged. The rice was also over cooked, but half the table liked it that way, the other half didnt. Bus boy was very friendly and helpful. The indoor space was decorated well and clean. read more

Cantina 32 - Guac, salsa and chips. Very small portion for the appetizer - Tacos Near Me - Bolton, New York

(This restaurant does not take reservations) I must say, the staff at this restaurant were amazing. However, there are some major areas where improvement need to be made. Firstly, it would have been even better if they offered complimentary chips and salsa to kickstart the meal (every great Mexican restaurant I have gone to does this). Secondly, I felt that the prices were extremely high compared to the overall food quality. Moreover, the drinks seemed a bit lacking in alcohol content, which might be something to consider for those looking for a good cocktails. These setbacks unfortunately are the reason for this rating. If significant adjustments are made, this restaurant could truly shine and become a favorite among diners. read more

It's a far cry from authentic-- their "carne asada" tacos are actually barbacoa. Lol. But for a small town Mexican joint, the food ticks all of the boxes. Our service was good and the food came out quickly. Though we didn't come during peak hours, which may or may not have had an impact on our service. Overall, the food was good. The quesadilla was our favorite and we'd order that again for sure. The "carne asada" tacos were just so-so; a bit too sweet for my taste. The guacamole was sour and off putting. Definitely not worth the up-charge. But the Cantina sauce was pretty tasty. The frozen mango margarita was fantastic! Overall, it's a good option for families in Bolton Landing. Everything is pricey in town, but their prices aren't as outrageous as some other spots in town. read more

Super fun atmosphere and the staff support to each other was noticeable! I got the Fajita Plate w/ steak and my cousin got the Quesadillas w/ chicken. Both were flavorful, fresh, and portioned well. We got two meals from it! I didn't have a margarita, but they looked scrumptious! We ended w/ the Tres Leches Cake! Perfect compliment to the amazing meal, it was DELISH! We will be back! read more

Food had no taste. Brought appitizer out with meal. Poppers and burger over cooke & fries undercooked. Warm beer

you can tell a lot about a Mexican place by their queso and guac and they are both amazing! Love the different margaritas as well. I've also tried a couple of the and they are all great also. Great Mexican decor And on a nice day I like the option of outside seating. read more

We're visiting lake George and gave this place a try for a late lunch. Food was good, we had quesadillas and tacos. We also had margaritas, which were very expensive because we upgraded to a better quality tequila ($14 + $4). That's okay but they were so weak, I had 2 and was sober. Expensive for what it was. Sagamore prices but watered down drinks. read more

If you want a solid meal and are craving Tex-Mex (non-authentic Mexican food), Cantina 32 does a good job at providing yummy food with great service. There's not really many other Mexican restaurants in the immediate area. I stopped in with 2 friends after it started pouring rain last week and we really enjoyed our meal. The tacos I got were yummy and the beans & rice were well prepared. The nachos were okay but I wasn't expecting the best nachos in the world. Our waitress was attentive and she was funny, cracking jokes about the rain. We loved her! And the restaurant itself is nice, with red lighting and a child-friendly vibe and a few outdoor tables. Pricing was slightly high but was reasonable enough for the pricy area. Overall, a good experience & I'd definitely come back! Would recommend for sure. read more

They have a menu item called Gringos. It's a ground beef taco like what you see in those Taco Bell ads. This should tell you the kind of Mexican this place is. Chips + salsa + queso: They tasted like what you get on sale for the super bowl to put out for the day. Store brand chips, "why is the salsa sweet" salsa, and from-a-jar queso. It's fine but ... Tacos: I ordered the Birria tacos and to their credit, it was pretty decent. Far from authentic but with the pickled onion and cojita, you could certainly feel as though you've gotten your money's worth. However why was the birria drowning in cinnamon? Decor: it's like when kids go to Mexico for the first time and get gifts from the "you forgot something" gift shop in the airport, then tell everyone they're "authentic because I got it in Mexico" decor. Service: they're doing a good job here. Treat them right. I don't know, I'm just annoyed by the fact they're trying to pitch this spot as some kind of Mexican restaurant when there's no mole on the menu? Just call it a Taco Shop or something and set the expectations a bit differently? I like the bar atmosphere and I like the drink menu. But the prices on the food don't match the quality of the food, and that's why I can't give more stars in this review. read more

Stopped here today October 4th, 2024 for a late lunch...it was really busy but Amy who is a bar tender and isn't typically a sever was amazing! She handled a full porch as well as inside without missing a beat! She asked how everything was...I joked with her and said spectacular but should I tell people in my review that you aren't used to serving tables and apologized to me 3 times for stepping on my foot....she said if that's the worst part of the review I'll take it. Really nice place and wonderful bartender/server! read more

Love the atmosphere. Relaxed and fun. Our server was Aaron. Service was fast and friendly. Baja Chicken Tacos are great.

Here's a good joke. Party of 5 walks into a bar.... Ok it's a restaurant.... They ask for a table for 5. The hostess tells them she can't seat a party of five. Yet there's a table for 8, 4, 2, 2, 2. So the party offers to break up into a group of 2 and 3. Hostess looks around at the tables and tells them she can't sit 2 and 3 either. ummm table for 4 can sit 3 duh and table for 2 can sit 2 duh. Apparently she can't do the math so is only capable of sitting even numbers. Young staff was clueless, rude and and needs training. But according to them the owner would have done the same thing. Me thinks not. Well I certainly hope not. Can't review the food cause I'm never going there again. Lots of nice restaurants in Bolton Landing that appreciate your business. So no need to go here. read more

We stopped at Cantina 32 during our Lake George trip. We love the area with their little shops and restaurants. The food was amazing! Best Mexican food I have had in this area, by far! The chicken quesadilla was also amazing, we loved the chicken. read more

Cantina 32 - Baha chicken tacos with only chicken and cheese - Tacos Near Me - Bolton, New York

We were really looking forward to a good Mexican dinner but unfortunately Cantina 32 did not live up to expectations. To start, the tortilla chips that came with each dinner were very oily. We like chips but did not finish these. My wife had shrimp tacos which were quite flavorful hiding what tasted like previously cooked and frozen shrimp as they were rubbery. I had the CBR quesadilla. It was good. We added on an order of refried beans. What came out were black beans with some seasoning. Although tasty, they were not refried beans. I just wish there were more choices on the menu such as any burrito. How about Mexican rice? I typically find authentic Mexican restaurants to be the best. This was far from that. I may have been harsh with a 2 but felt besides what i listed here, the value just wasn't worth it. read more
