The mac and cheese lacked flavor and tasted like butter with very little cheese. The short rib tasted as though it had been reheated, and the seafood pasta tasted like it was made with frozen seafood. Overall, the food was average at best and reminded me more of an Olive Garden-style meal than the upscale waterfront dining experience I was expecting. The following night we ate at La Bella Vita at The Sagamore, and the difference was remarkable. The food was significantly better, the atmosphere was more enjoyable, and our bill was actually lower despite ordering a similar amount of food and drinks. I wouldn't necessarily say Lighthouse Grill is bad, but based on our experience, I don't think it lives up to its reputation or price point. She also made a comment that the cooks are Spanish and she has no idea how she will translate our orders to the cooks. That is not the customers problem or concern and should not have been said to us. Jess never checked in at our table to see if we needed refills, napkins, etc. We needed a refill on drinks, so we found a waitress nearby and were asking for assistance. Jess saw this and came running over & said, " she has no idea what you're saying she doesn't speak English." & she then proceeded to get our drinks. I couldn't believe my ears, how incredibly rude was that comment. Her comment felt very judgmental and rude. She had no class whatsoever. At the end of our meal she came over to us and told us the dollar amount of our bill and walked away. We had to ask for a receipt. Absolutely ridiculous.
