Limoncello Spritzer and Bloody Mary - Two cocktails, one with a small umbrella and a straw, are placed on a white table in a restaurant setting with patrons and artwork visible in the background.
Lori G.

We've been looking for new and interesting dining options outside of Saratoga Springs (where we live). We discovered Morgan & Co. a couple of years ago and it's been one of our go-to places ever since. I'd read about Mint and people liked it a lot so we went there for brunch/lunch a few days ago. It did not disappoint. We had the opportunity to check it out following a wake in Queensbury. Our drinks were very good. My Limoncello Spritzer really hit the spot. My husband was delighted that his Bloody Mary did not include any olives (lol). However, $18 is steep for tomato juice, folks. We shared the Brussel Sprouts as a Starter. Both of us ordered the Crab and Scallop Cake Benny which was topped with hollandais, served on a bed of arugula and accompanied by tasty potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Our server was very nice. She seemed to be handling a lot of the tables and managed it well. We were not rushed nor did we feel neglected. It's a small place, cozy and welcoming. Love the china. There is a parking lot and also street parking. The menu is limited. If you have fussy eaters, you may want to check it out online before making a reservation (which is recommended). I would have given them 4-1/2 but the system doesn't allow it. We will definitely return.

Grass Fed Burger- perfect

Stopped for a late lunch with friend after shopping. We both had the grass fed burger. Burgers were exceptional! - done perfectly to request! We were both thinking top 5 but we now think that was THE best burger we've had. The ingredients and how they are layered work perfectly. If you order the burger don't re arrange the furniture - try it as presented - you won't regret it! Also- interior is beautiful - colorful, comfortable and artful. Love the live plants too!

Tried Mint recently, overall it was decent. Service was friendly, food came pretty quickly. We tried a few of the cocktails but all were unbalanced, didn't get a second round. To start the meal, we ordered the cheese board and a pizza to share. The cheese board was big, a few main cheeses, some spreads pickles, and sides. Two servers told us completely different cheeses, so unsure of what we actually ate but they were local cheeses and pretty solid. The pizza was our favorite dish of the night - we did the forager which was super cheesy, good crust, only a hint of truffle oil which didn't overpower the dish. For mains we ordered the crab cake and burger. Burger was ok, not cooked properly to temp but a fine burger. The crab cake was small and a lot of filler - wouldn't order that again. It was served open faced on a focaccia that was too big, didn't finish the bread. And with a lightly dressed side salad which was ok.

Pot d'Creme. - A clear glass cup contains a hot drink, topped with a swirl of whipped cream, placed on a dark surface with two spoons nearby.

Mint is not only a wonderful place for dinner, but also great for lunch. Parking is easy during lunch time whether you park in their back lot, or on the street. The two ladies in our group of three chose the Beet Burger ($22) - a house made veggie patty with more than just beets, served with 1000 island (vg), tomato jam, and greens on a Rock Hill bun. Because the ladies had requested that the bun be served on the side, the kitchen served the burger totally deconstructed. It was a beautiful presentation. Fingerlings were also provided as a side. Both ladies were impressed with the flavors throughout. I had the Grass Fed Burger ($22) with Ammerlander cheese, 1000 island, tomato jam, greens, on a Rock Hill bun and a side of fingerlings. The patty was cooked perfectly at the Chef's discretion to avoid drying out the beef. The tomato jam added a bit of sweetness and a touch of spiciness. The bottom half of the bun was actually more enjoyable than the top half as it had accumulated some of the juices. I suggest turning the burger upside down and compressing the top half of the bun. Our last visit taught us to be certain to order dessert. All three of us were interested in trying the Pistachio Tiramisu. But just for variety, one of us switched to the Pot d' Creme ($11). Both desserts were fantastic. Service continues to be friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. And they still serve a great coffee. What more can you ask for?

Very nice lunch, super friendly service. Glad we ordered the mahi-mahi tacos to start, the crab cake was delicious but not filling, served with a mini me salad. The Thai red curry was tasty, added the chicken for $8. but there were only 3 tiny pieces.

This should be a 5 star review because the food was a perfect 10. The restaurant was not busy but our server was hardly anywhere to be found most of our dining time. In fact after clearing my empty entree plate and ensuring she would be back we waited 17 minutes until I finally got up and asked someone for a check. Another server dropped it. A $200 check for a 2 top and we never got a thank you from our server-after hearing we needed our check you think she would've ran out and brought it. We waited for everything- over 30 min for a med filet and chicken which the server kelt saying, "next time you see me I will have your food"- validating that we were waiting a while. Would've love to have had an after dinner drink and a couple of desserts especially seeing we were celebrating our anniversary which was noted on the reservation yet not even a congratulations was said. There are a couple of other farm to table restaurants in the area and with service like we had last night I will be trying the others from here on out. Very very disappointed.

I have wanted to get to Mint for a while. Not only had I heard good things about this newer restaurant in downtown Glens Falls, but I also has a friend with a severe gluten intolerance visiting, and we knew it was someplace she could dine (they come up very prominently in searches for gluten-free dining). The atmosphere for lunch on a Saturday afternoon was very relaxed, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The drink menu includes as many mocktails as cocktails, just as tempting, but also almost as expensive. Our meals came out quickly. My pasta Bolognese was lighter on sauce than I was expecting, but this was a good thing, as it allowed more of the flavor to not be lost in the sauce as might be the case in other restaurants. I had been looking for more places to visit for food and drink in the Glens Falls area, and I have to place Mint high on that list.

Wonderful, creative chef. Everything I ate was delicious. Server was excellent and helpful. The salad special was one of the best salads I've ever had. So many different flavors. Very sweet strawberries. Crisp frisée. Tasty nut crumbles. Dressing delicious. Beet burger possibly the tastiest veggie burger I've tasted. I hear they sell them in retail stores and I'll look for them. Dessert of lemon curd with nuts perfect too. I highly recommend this restaurant. Reservations are a must.

I think I have a new favorite restaurant. Let's start with the ambiance, decor and vibe: awesome, clean, friendly, chill. Made reservations for two at the bar on a Wednesday night. Did you know that you can get $1 oysters on Wednesday nights at the bar? No? Now you do. You're welcome. Barstools are really comfortable and I would consider eating at the bar again instead of getting a regular table. Bartender was top notch and we got a chance to chat with the owner on the way out (we remember her from her former restaurant)...she's fab. Oysters were awesome-we managed to slurp down 2 dozen. Bread and butter-that's right up my alley...carbs!! Homemade Texas toast style with delicious, slightly sweet butter. Brussels sprouts-fantastic! Pickle plate-very pretty and a nice, light snack in between heavier options. We each managed to eat a taco; I had the mushroom and loved it. Solid review on the pork taco. Barely had room for dessert but the pavlova was light and just the right choice to end the night on. Forgot to mention the mocktails and lighter ABV beverages on the drink menu...each one was was better than the next. Plenty of regular cocktails, local beers and other adult beverages available. This place is the bomb. I'm impressed by the farm to table focus and that every dish features local businesses. There are many vegan and vegetarian choices, gluten-free options and plenty of carnivore-friendly fare. Something for everyone. I will DEFINITELY be back soon!

Unseasoned cauliflower next to crunchy but acidic cabbage in a sea of oily green goo.

At first glimpse its a pretty interior but its all downhill from there. I have now been here 3 times. (Photos in this review are from the first trip when I took my mom for her birthday). I hesitated to review this place at that time because they were new and I wanted to give them a chance to work out the kinks. The anchovies on the "Caesar" salad were fresh and delicious yet, the stems of the greens were stringy and near impossible to chew while the dressing and cheese were underwhelming against the beautiful fresh greens. The duck was whacked a couple of times with a knife (not sliced into remotely edible pieces). I requested a steak knife and was arrogantly told that the chef has pre cut the meat before the server rolled his eyes and waltzed away. 10 mins later I received a knife to begin carving the cold duck that sat atop huge woody asparagus spears and a gluey base of mashed potatoes. Any person with an ounce of vegetable knowledge knows you should target slim, tender asparagus or, at the very least, trim the woody base of a spear this size before serving. On my second trip, I was with a colleague. He enjoyed the cocktails but again, the food was underwhelming, cold, and under seasoned. They are masters of taking gorgeous local ingredients and destroying them with splashes of unbalanced oil or vinegar and not spending a moment to properly trim or slice anything. On my last trip, with 4 other people, we unanimously decided, we will not give this place another chance. I ordered the veggie burger. It was not remotely held together, and was a pile with the texture of fluffy mashed potatoes with some raw, hard legume flecks folded in. The gummy mashed potatoes on the first trip held together better than this "burger." With each bite the "patty" just plopped out of the bun like a pile of instant pudding. We also ordered a cheese plate and a pickle plate. The serving boards were too big for the table and the server mocked our group for "ordering too much food" because they couldn't fit these two boards on a table they sat 4 people at. The size of the boards was mammoth compared to the minuscule amount of food on them. The cheeses were the same cheeses you can (and should) buy at the farmers market around the corner just marked up 5X. The pickles were all sorts of fruits and vegetables in the exact same bitter, acidic brine with zero complexity - the assortment included half a strawberry, a bean, and a few slices of onion alongside a few flowers for garnish. The ambiance is quite pretentious for such poor quality food. The staff have not been remotely friendly nor are they keen to accommodate questions, nor requests for things as simple as utensils and water.

Cleome Table & Bar

Cleome Table & Bar

We met friends for dinner at Cleome with very high expectations due to lots of positive chatter…read moreabout it. The bar area and wall garden are extremely cool. It's a fairly small space so definitely make reservations if you're planning on going during busier dinner hours. Service was decent - it was a little confusing and disjointed at times but I chalked that up to some inexperience (the server seemed a bit green) and that it's a fairly new restaurant. We had read somewhere that it was small plates - more like tapas...but then was explained that it's "family style". This is what caused said confusion at the table since "family style" to the four of us meant large, sharable portions. So, we just ordered a bunch of stuff in waves since we didn't really know how much food we were going to need. Some items arrived quickly, others took a very long time. Standout dishes to me were the Brussels sprouts and the apple cobbler dessert (which I just had a little taste of). I found some of the accompanying crackers odd - I think they were Ritz brand or something like that? We did request a few gluten free crackers and were brought a few. The swordfish was on the dry side - that's a tricky protein to get right. The fried chicken was served as cutlets - so some of the items were more difficult to share vs. others. The shrimp salad cups were somewhat unremarkable and a bit too loaded with mayo (in my opinion). The shishito peppers were nice - I think I was the one at the table that enjoyed those the most. We did linger at our table for a long time - a combination of wait times and good conversation with friends. We never felt rushed or pressured to leave (there wasn't a wait or line for tables). All in all, we had a nice time at Cleome and will likely give it another try at some point - now that we know what to expect

Three entrees: Tried the Lobster Mac and Cheese again and it was MUCH better than previously reported! That was great as was the fried chicken- soooo good. My burger unfortunately didn't arrive until after everyone else at the table was done with their meals. Oh bother.... it tasted meh and it's clear they are using a very low fat ground beef which made the burger more like a tasteless hockey puck. Still, everything else was wonderful and the background music was audible and made the experience even better. The Egg nog cocktail we had at another visit a few days before was delish. Despite my burger, we were please with our experience. I can only hope that they reconsider their low fat ground beef for something a little more tasty and juicy. Recommended.

If you want to sit at the bar you get a great view of the chefs at work preparing your meal. If you want a cozier experience, sit in the comfortable seating in the rear of the restaurant. Our server was very attentive but chill and knowledgeable. We got the Utica greens to share as an appetizer, a cocktail and Mad Max local beer, then a burger with hand cut fries and a chicken stuffed poblano. Dessert was a passion fruit chocolate tart which we took to go. If you're looking for well crafted food with a creative twist, this place is a great choice. North country friendly and approachable with a sophisticated set of offerings. Some really unique cocktails too. Not a boring thing on the menu.

Service was very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Taylor was one of the best servers we've had in a long time. Everything is made fresh daily, and if you sit at the Chef's Counter, you'll see it first hand. You'll also get great descriptions of everything from the awesome Chefs and maybe get to try something extra too. I recommend using the reservation system on their website and specify your seating preferences. You can choose from the Chef's Counter, the bar, a high-top table, a low table, or an outdoor table (weather permitting). We also appreciated them asking about food allergies on the reservation system too and they verified it when we arrived. We were so impressed with the unique menu options that are offered in the appetizers, small shareable plates, main courses, desserts, and drinks. We are already planning on coming back Sunday for brunch and know we'll be back again soon for dinner.

The initial impression was the same when we arrived. The place was clean and well put together with a friendly atmosphere. We got our menus and our drinks and took some time to place our orders. We eventually ordered the tavern Mac and cheese and the piggly wiggly burger. We also ordered an extra basket of the tavern fries as those are typically a big hit and very delicious. I got the pretzels for myself. This is where the disappointment began. The Mac and cheese had good taste but it was still very lackluster. We knew to expect loads of cheese; which is great! But what we got was nearly just cheese itself... maybe a handful of noodles. The burger was also a huge disappointment. As having had it before I knew it was pretty good. This time it wasn't . What I got was a greasy unseasoned burger, pulled pork with no flavor and coleslaw that was bland as well. The bun was soggy. The burger was soaking wet. The pretzels were still doughy and not fully cooked. They were very hard and not as good as I had hoped seeing as they were once amazing. The fries were soaked in their oil. They are seasoned, and they are tossed with their seasoning and oil. However these were soggy, nor crispy in the slightest and dripped all over the place. Service was mediocre at best. Plates were pulled without asking if we were finished . Upon returning the server seemed to be somewhat condescending . Had I not brought large bills I would have not left a tip to be quite frank. Overall I do not plan to return here . I am very dissatisfied. I hope this place turns back around but as for me, I do not plan to spend my money here anymore.
