My family and I were staying in The Queensbury Hotel and had breakfast twice at Park 26. Located right off the lobby, there is plenty of seating to enjoy a great meal. The wait staff was very accommodating. The breakfast menu is offered until 10 AM on weekdays and 11AM on weekends. My two entrees I ordered were the caprese omelet and the eggs Florentine. Both came with their home fries (a must try). Definitely book a reservation if you're staying at The Queensbury Hotel, or if you happen to be in the Glens Falls area. read more

This is the second time we have eaten here. The food is good but the service was unacceptably slow. This morning we were seated at 9:20 am and did not receive our food for over an hour. There were maybe 3 or four other tables with 2 or 3 customers seated at each. Both times my husband and son have gotten something different from what they ordered. On a cold snowy night in Glens Falls, we chose to eat at Park 26, located in the Queensbury Hotel. It was the perfect night to eat in one of their igloos. This was a wonderful experience. A big shoutout to the chef, Laura, for an incredible meal. Their weekend specials were a grilled 14 oz tomahawk Berkshire pork chop, served with Gouda smashed peewee potato and bacon escarole or Filet Oscar, topped with Alaskan king crab, served with garlic mashed and asparagus. I love this hotel and restaurant. This was my third time having breakfast and they never disappoint. The steak had a superb flavor. It was grilled perfectly. Many establishments medium wrong but this was perfect. The home fries had a unique seasoning which was scrumptious and I had a mimosa and peach Bellini. This place was so cute. I recommend eating out on the patio when the weather is nice. The service is super fast and the and the staff are super nice. I definitely recommend on getting the drinks here as I had the summer sangria. It was so good you barely taste any of the alcohol and it wasn't too sweet where it gave you a headache. The Norwegian salmon, was so fresh! It was supposed to be only for 4 ounces, but it was actually a generous serving. There was some type of butternut squash sauce on the side, which it gave a nice flavor to the meal. It also came with 2 sides I picked brussels sprouts and fries. The brussels sprouts were so good. It came with pieces of bacon and Parmesan on the top. The bacon really added a nice flavor to the Brussels sprouts. It added a nice hint of salt and crispiness. We were pleasantly surprised - went to Park 26 for breakfast on a weekday and while it appeared to be staffed by one young woman, she did a pretty good job staying on top of the tables and being attentive. I ordered an egg white omelette and I would say it was VERY greasy (clearly they didn't want it to stick to the pan)... it was tasty though - and the potatoes that accompanied the omelette were downright delicious (and fresh/hot!) My mini got an order of pancakes and he was most excited that they came with REAL maple syrup. He pretty much licked the plate.... The coffee was tasty and if you ask for a to-go cup, they'll bring you one. I'd be interested in checking this place out during a lunch or dinner, but we didn't get to do so during this stay. We certainly appreciated the option and were pleasantly surprised that it wasn't grossly overpriced at all. I spent just as much there as I'd have spent at a diner or elsewhere for breakfast in the area, so you might want to check it out! Next time (when not so stinky from the paper mill) we'd likely opt to sit outside on the patio for some people watching, but it was early and it was chilly, so we stayed inside. read more

The orders were correct and prompt and the menu was exactly what you'd need in a breakfast. Loved the cute little patio, where every table has an umbrella and some shade! I found this place online, the menu seemed interesting so we decided to go there for lunch upon arrival, we had to sit ourselves as there was no employees around and the place was dead. After 10 minutes of waiting the server "DC" finally showed up and brought us water. We placed our order two salads and two beers. After waiting 30 minutes, we decided to go ask him what's going on with our food? I know servers get busy at times, but there was only two occupied tables and there was no reason for the delay. Finally received our food and my salad was swimming and heavy dressing and he didn't ask how was our food was. To be honest he was too busy talking with two women at the bar and wasn't paying attention to his tables. I do not recommend this place and I will not be coming back. read more

I came here as a guest of the hotel. My usual breakfast isn't this formal. But it was a nice treat. This is a very elegant setting for breakfast, which is why I was here. I had read somewhere else the place was small with few tables, that's no longer the case. Spacious. Nice breakfast menu with very pleasant staff. Hotel pricing, this isn't a diner, from the tablecloths to the heavy silverware to the good coffee. This could easily be 5 stars and probably will be soon. They have it all, beautiful, good staff, easy menu, just needs to settle into a rhythm it seems. Also, I came for the breakfast with their $5 chip. If I'd ordered the $5 breakfast it would have included coffee. I assumed coffee was included, got my bill and saw it was $2. Unlimited coffee, but still. Really? It's free in the lobby and if I'd ordered the $5 breakfast, but because I got the $8 breakfast now I pay $2 for coffee? So my "$8" breakfast cost me $7 (with tip), even with their $5 chip. Unexpected. Sadly the tv was competing with the music (busy jazz at 6:58am?). Who needs sports at 6:59 in the am? A guy who then walked away from it. Not why it's 4 stars, but seriously? (Update - he came back and stood a foot away from it watching.). Too many staff on duty? The women were working.) I ate here twice while staying at the hotel. Breakfast was excellent, good service, great French Toast. Outdoor dining is very pleasant. The lunch experience is why I didn't give 5 stars. The server had no clue of what was on the drink menu. I ordered Pinot Grigio, and had to explain that it was wine. I received a glass of a red wine. Dined at Park 26 last night, and had a great experience. Every appetizer and the main dishes were excellently presented and tasted fantastic. Small tastings between courses were brought out, which were also very good. The new chef Colin Miner & his staff really elevated Park 26 to a high end dining establishment in downtown Glens Falls. We dined here last night before a show at The Charles Wood Theater and had a 5 star meal. They have hired Colin Miner as the new chef & everything was exceptional. The restaurant has the perfect location with outdoor seating with a view of city park. We first shared the beet and citrus appetizer along with an amazing pâté charcuterie and then had the duck dish with rhubarb chutney. Everything was delicious. The chef also sent out a complimentary "palate cleanser" before the appetizers & a small frozen mimosa before the main meal. Such a nice surprise! Oh and did I mean mention the homemade rolls and herbal butter? They were to die for... I would highly recommend giving Park 26 if you want something different and special. The Queensbury Hotel also has a pub called Fenimore's which has lighter pub fare. I believe you can order from that menu and sit outside at Park 26 as well. read more

First time visiting this town. Not alot of places are open on Sunday for lunch except for this one. Food is amazing here. Service was great for a party of 13 people during lunch hours. This ranks among the best meals, if not THE SINGLE best meal I have ever eaten! My father and I ordered the 7 course tasting menu for two, and we were absolutely blown away. The flavor combinations in each dish created totally new flavors that I have never tasted before! Each one prepared EXPERTLY by chef Colin Miner. Chef Miner personally helped serve and introduce each course and in doing so, we could tell just how much he loves what he does. He is so passionate, and takes such delicate care of each dish prepared that you can't help but take notice. There is love, time, and attention in every bite. Each course was better than the previous one! We kept looking at one another in amazement that somehow THIS course was better than THAT one! It was a luxurious 3 hour delight of flavor and ambience. I took my family to this restaurant while in the Glens Falls area. We were pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere and staff. Overall we had a great experience. I ordered the chicken cavatapi. It was perfect! My mother had the crab stuffed haddock. She loved it. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and knowledgeable about the food and what was going on locally as far as thing to do and see. I will definitely will be going here again.
