Get a friggn toaster!! It's amazing how much and how often this place routinely squanders and botches their opportunity to just do OK. DO NOT GO HERE. You'll wait too long for the wrong order and sit in uncomfortable seating. The one odd pro of this pace.... They open at 6 (whereas most others are open at 7). Still.... Decided to try their BLT and had a hot tea. Please expect to not receive your loose tea rinds as they steep it there for you. This adds time and will not allow for a second hot water fill. For a $5.00 tea, I do wish they allowed us to have the rind as mine was watered down. The barista added hot water as the tea steeper didn't fill up for the 20 oz. It was noticeable in taste. The sandwich was delicious and I look forward to seeing additional options with more protein in the future! What is nice is they have televisions as the menus, so it will be an easy addition as they update and grow their menu. All in all, I will definitely return. Look forward to seeing the updates to their business model as they grow. Current hours for the kitchen are 7 am to 2 pm and the coffee and tea portion is open until 3 pm. I highly recommend to the mayo-averse to sub scallion CC for aoli on the vegetarian breakfast sandwich. My one minor gripe with the service is that on both occasions we've been, there's been confusion about who owns what drink when it's called out. I wish they'd announce the name along with the order, or at least write it on the cup. Coffee: Their drinks with syrups (I've tried the dirty chai, maple cardamom, and cinnamon bun) all tend to lean on the sweeter side, and it's hit or miss as to whether the other flavors come through - especially the maple cardamom. We didn't get either flavor. Next time, I'll stick to a standard coffee and milk drink. Baked Goods: Scones - a must-get! We tried the orange cranberry, and both agreed that it was unusually and exceptionally good - certainly the best I'd ever had. Plus, they're enormous, so plan to split or have leftovers. Cinnamon roll - skip. The scarcity marketing of it being a Saturday-only special got to me, but I wouldn't order it again. For me, it was way too sweet, both in terms of the icing (buttercream, no cream cheese) and the very generous filling, and the texture wasn't my favorite: standard dry-ish & bready. Tangzhong would be a welcome addition. Bagels - fantastic. These are very different to the bagels at Uncommon Grounds, which are more dense and chewy. If you prefer a lighter, airier bagel with a substantial crisp on the outside, you'll love these. They don't have too many varieties yet (I think just everything, cinnamon raisin, and plain), but even the plain is excellent. Love that they do an over-easy egg on the breakfast sandwiches.
