I tasted the frosted cookie and raspberry scone...thumbs up on both. The cookie was soft and the frosting kicked up the sweetness while the scone was exactly what you want in a scone: not too sweet and just the right consistency...not too dry. (Sometimes scones suck up all of the moisture in your face...not these!) The other cupcake option today was peanut butter and chocolate, but I'm a weirdo and don't like peanut butter. There were also gluten free options...cute little cakes dressed up like minions. Still need to try the cinnamon bun...I have high hopes it will be as good as it looks. Darling Doughnuts offers a rotation of weekly flavors to choose from. The donuts are square and are also available in mini sizes. We picked Boston cream, Churro, and classic vanilla sprinkle. The texture was really nice and light with strong flavor. Loved the donuts! I liked the Churro best as they make the chocolate with a hint of cayenne, so you get a kick of flavor there. The shop atmosphere was fun and gave me a Wes Anderson movie vibe with the colors and decor. Service was friendly and quick. Took a minute to decide but they were patient with us. He said they had a shed next to the small industrial bakery with self service and an honor system for paying cash only. So I stopped in this afternoon and found this little gem of a place that I'm surely coming back to. They have 6 different biscotti flavors to choose from and bins with bags of around 5 biscottis each. It's currently $5 per bag, cash only, that you leave in a slot between the bins. The biscotti's are delicious....at least the 4 of the 6 I bought and tried, but no reason to think the other two aren't as well.
