Very impressed with this cafe. Got egg sandwiches for breakfast and they were amazing. The lunch also did not disappoint. Very good quality food. We got turkey sandwiches. The espresso is great and the service there is so friendly. Ashley helped us at the register and was super helpful. Great little breakfast shop less than 5 minutes from where we are staying. I had the Double fried egg sandwich, added Taylor Ham and American cheese on a roll. It was very good. My wife had the 2 fried eggs with a side of sliced avocado. She said this would be her top breakfast stop this week. The staff was friendly and the food came out quick. This is the best breakfast in Bolton Landing. The staff is really friendly and patient and they get orders out quickly. They've got a variety of breakfast and deli sandwiches, great coffee, good bagels, smoothies, and baked goods. There's a little bit of seating outside and some parking. We got a pork roll, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel and a chorizo breakfast burrito along with two cold brews and a pain au chocolat. The bagel was great, the burrito was great, the coffee was refreshing and smooth. There was nothing super special about the pain au chocolat/chocolate croissant, but it was a solid average with lots of flaky layers and plenty of chocolate. If I'm ever back in Bolton Landing, I can't see myself getting breakfast anywhere else. read more

Came in here for a quick bite and coffee before a long drive and it was perfect for that! I got an everything bagel with cream cheese and it was perfect! I ask for very hot Chai Tea, and that is exactly what I got, with a smile. The location of the eatery was set back from the main street of town closer to Sagamore road. read more

We just had a fantastic lunch at the Sunrise Cafe on our way out of Lake George. It was so yummy! The thick rye bread on the sandwiches was amazing. My husband and son we both raving at the just right amount of toppings on the mid Rubens and the ginger cookies to top it all off with were delicious! We also loved the moist chicken on my chicken salad sandwich and the crisp bacon on my other son's egg and cheese. And we got to eat it all outside at the cute tables to enjoy our last few moments of a great holiday weekend. The staff was lovely too! We recommend this place highly! read more

I'd love to leave a review that talks about the wonderful food and service and have a great local place to recommend to friends and family who visit, but that's not the case. Instead we were subjected to being called names as a man hurled homophobic comments in the line behind us, upon asking him to give us some space as he was standing almost in top of us and there was no where for us to shift. Though the comments were loud enough for others and staff to hear, the man was not asked to leave nor did anyone speak up. By the time we arrived at the counter to order the man had been making comments for several min and we left without ordering. Stay away. read more

Came here for snack/drinks after a long hike. Good social distancing there and a simple menu to chose from. Its a shame the place is a bit off the main road so its easy to miss. I had the peach smoothie. Good consistency but honestly didn't taste like peach at all...didn't even taste like vanilla. Also the paper straw they provided (which I appreciated) wasn't sturdy enough to drink the smoothie before it melted a little. Then it got too soggy...not great. They have so many other good sounding things on the menu but it was a shame that what I got was not great at all. Should be noted that in the afternoon in Bolton Landing, this seemed like literally the only thing that was open for a quick treat. Check em out but don't get the peach smoothie. read more

If you want tasty HUGE sandwiches, look no further! This cute little hole-in-the-wall stand pumps out yummy sandwiches that are stacked with meats and toppings. The sandwiches all come with homemade chips! TRAVELER HACK: ask them to wrap each halves of the sandwich separately so they're easier to pack in a lunchbox or cooler. We ended up taking our sandwiches on a hike! They're also open early morning for breakfast, which I heard is also very yummy. read more

I cannot imagine spending the summer in Bolton Landing without the Sunrise Cafe! Not only has Sammy, the Owner and Chef, provided us with delicious pies (hot out of the oven!), cookies and pastries to distribute to my guests at our vintage restore, Timberlane Cottages, but not a morning goes by without stopping for coffee and in the afternoon a large ice coffee (and snack).... I also love the salads, which are always fresh and the cold cuts are delicious and high quality. Sammy and her staff provide top notch service along with just being fun and delightful to chat with each day. We are so pleased with Sunrise Cafe's service that we leave a menu in each of our cabins for our summer guests. read more

After today's egg, bacon and cheese Stromboli, I had to share how amazing this new bakery/lunch/dinner shop is -- Fabulous!!! Not only did it taste great, but somehow it was cooked so that the yoke was soft but firm ... not hard like most e, b, c concoctions. More than that as a repeat visitor to Lake George, I was thrilled to find that this locally owned café is led by a friendly woman and staff. You are welcomed as you arrive with big smiles. I've been there daily for a week (that's how good it is). I can also recommend highly the pastrami sandwich, crumb cake, jelly donuts and bear claw (obviously I'm on vacation). They are also glad to address any concerns, such as mine with Apple Pay (took her an hour on the phone which she told me about the next day (absolutely no problem using Apple Pay); sandwiches pulling apart on the drive home (resolved; never happened again after I mentioned the issue). Please know I don't have any connection to the Café -- I just happened to walk in, and would hate for anyone coming to Lake George to miss this jewel. Stopping by will improve remarkably the quality of your time in the area. And in a town busy during the summer, its easy to find -- right next to the Tops grocery store -- with plenty of free parking. Eat in or to go, you won't be disappointed! read more
