It's been a while since I've eaten here and I forgot how much I liked it. The old Victorian style historic house turned restaurant is really lovely. The wraparound porch is just so nice to sit outside and eat in warm weather. They really utilize the space well, as it's covered in colder months so you can still sit there. I was here for brunch on Mother's Day with reservations and was seated promptly. Due to the holiday, parking was not possible in their lot as it can only take a few cars. No matter, as we were able to park nearby. Their brunch menu had plenty to choose from. You were given these small carrot cake muffins to start, then a choice of starter and main along with dessert, wow! You also had a few cocktails to choose from and you could also swap out for a mocktail too. It was extremely busy but the staff was attentive and handled our orders with ease. Their attention to detail was so nice. For starters we had a strawberry salad, French onion soup, tuna tartare, coconut shrimp. For mains, the burger, salmon Benedict, chicken and waffles and a Polynesian style breakfast bowl with coconut shrimp, sticky rice, pineapple and greens. Lastly on a full tummy we had coffee with chocolate mousse, strawberry shortcake and peanut butter cheesecake. Spending the morning here for brunch was the perfect way to kick off the day. It takes a notable dining experience for me to award a restaurant five stars, and Morgan & Co. checked off all the boxes. Since we live on the outskirts of Saratoga Springs, we tend to make our restaurant selections from the vast number of options within a short drive from us. Morgan & Company was highly recommended by a few friends, and we were game for a new place, so we thought we'd give it a try. Bam! Love that it's situated in an old (1890s) house that had been built by the Morgans who owned a lumber yard. The flow from outside spaces and bar to the intimate rooms inside welcomed guests. The place was packed even on a Thursday night so I must emphasize that you need to make a reservation here (as I did). We were seated at a table for two by the window facing the street. Perfect! Nowadays, many establishments have cut back on their offerings. On the contrary, Morgan & Co.'s menu was extraordinary. My husband and I had a really hard time making our selections. In the end, we both were attracted to the Escargots in Mushroom Caps (delicious) for starters. (It would have been nice if the bread had been warm, just sayin'.) For our entrees, my spouse selected the Brisket Bowl which he thoroughly enjoyed. He never picks something of this ilk when dining out but he really liked it. I chose the Swordfish Oscar which was exceptional. Nicely grilled with just the right amount of sauce (not smothered). Would have liked to see a bit more crab for the high price point, but ... Our server, Erin, was a true hospitality professional. Her warm smile, friendly demeanor and attention to us added to a delightful experience at this restaurant. She is a true asset! There is off-street parking and you can also easily find street parking here which is always a consideration for us. One thing you should be aware of is that the place is loud when full. I had been alerted to this one negative by my friends. When we first arrived, most of the tables were occupied and, as such, the noise level was a bit uncomfortable - we found ourselves raising our voices between us when communicating across our small table. To remedy this problem, as someone who worked in the hospitality industry my entire career, I would recommend the additional of soft goods on the walls to muffle the sound. Despite the 30-minute drive, we have placed Morgan & Co. high on our list of restaurants we love and look forward to returning. read more

I was one of the few guests Wednesday 1/28/26. I was greeted by a young rude Waiter and someone whom appeared to be the manager who didn't even attempt to be happy to see a guest, while they were on their phones! I asked them for a private area to have a private conversation with some dear friends that I have known for years, I gave them a $20 tip and apparently, they were insulted by my generosity? Christopher offered to go to the lonely table at the top of the stairs, how insulting, since my dear friend has painful knees, hips and serious back issues! Anyways, Kris returned the $20 to me and was very insulting WTF!! Where the customer did is always right! I wanted a quiet environment for a life changing event. You're a--hole waiter, who had the balls to be my server, pissed me off! Thank God I had already gotten my beverage at the bar, for fear he would spit in my drink, and I was worried he would do something to our food, which I barely ate! Our bill was $182+. And no discount was offered, even as I stated that would be appropriate! Since I am millionaire, just wait for me to come back to town and buy your building to provide a real service to the Glens Falls Community! We had reservations last evening. I needed to use the lift to get in. My now fiancé and I proceeded to the lift and a staff member met us there. The lift started right up and raised me a few inches then stopped and would not move. What ensued was more upsetting to the restaurant owners and staff!! I have learned to live with anticipate the worst and if all goes well I'm pleasantly surprised!! We met the owners who are just awesome people. It's hard to describe how upset they were. My partner and I dined here for the first time in an effort to leave our circle of Saratoga restaurants! The menu is very diverse. We started with the crab soup and chopped salad. The soup was excellent and the salad was mediocre. The romaine was browning, it wasn't "chopped" and the lettuce-to-topping ratio was was off. My partner had the pork chop, which was excellent. I had the chicken piccata meatballs, which were flavorless and missing capers, a key ingredient. The waitress was very kind and took the meal off the bill even though she didn't have to. It was the night before Easter brunch, so we were speculating maybe the "A" team wasn't working that night. We will go back and try it again sometime! read more

Delicious Company to Keep! A Rare Find with stellar service, gourmet food quality and flavor, and ambiance all in one package. Top 1% rating for me. Had the Moroccan Cigars to start, tender minced lamb spring rolls with delicious harissa. Moroccan Mixed Grill for the main was in a word OUTSTANDING! Having lived in New Orleans for a decade, the bar on shrimp is really high and these were perfect! Three shrimp, a lamb tenderloin chop and a generous chicken kabob delivered diverse and refreshing flavors. No boredom here! The couscous was really light and fluffy, with perfectly seasoned veggies. On top of all this you get a coconut curry broth for dipping. Wife had the Maple Glazed Salmon with a large portion of fresh fish topped with a crunchy light maple crumble, along with french green beans and delicious creamed parsnips. The Maple Bread Pudding was HUGE and should come with a Surgeon General warning about the risk of compulsive addiction, it's just that good! read more

I rounded up- I think ideally my review would be 3.5 stars. Not bad, but not great. What we loved: the old house that the restaurant is in- so much charm. We sat on the porch on a lovely evening and enjoyed the breeze and the live music. All the patrons seemed to be in a good mood and we all felt that relaxed summer evening feeling- enjoying the location and each other. We ordered oysters (excellent), the tuna tartare (yummy) and the chateaubriand for 2 (just ok, too much sauce and the meat, while perfectly med-rare as ordered, just tasted so so.) The potatoes that came with the meal were really great. Service was a bit off. After we were seated we waited a while before the hostess brought menus and place settings. We enjoyed the 6 oysters so much we ordered another 6, but had to cancel them because the mains arrived too quickly. We had a nice bottle of wine we poured ourselves- our waiter never came to pour a few glasses. Then he served us desert menus and started talking desert before we finished dinner and while we still had plenty of steak and potatoes on our plates. He told us the pie was great, so we ordered it, but then he came back and said there was none. I think we felt a bit rushed at the end. We met the chef and owner. She was lovely, but when we mentioned that it was weird they didn't have fresh cracked pepper she said it was because people stole the pepper mills . That's silly- get a few big ones and leave them in the kitchen lol. So we enjoyed our dinner but this place could go from ok to fantastic with just a few tweaks. But do give them a try! read more

I had one of the best filet mignons I've ever had... it was so tender to the touch I figured it was underdone- but it was a perfect medium rare. The sauce was delicious and the potato frites were full of flavor, light and crispy. My husband had the maple salmon and loved it, too. Their music is also noteworthy- it's a blend of obscure classic rock that has just the right vibe. The service was excellent, too - never an empty water glass and friendly and professional. Place was cute, sat outside where they had live music on a Friday night which was nice. Ambiance was nice and relaxing! Since we were outside didn't see inside all that much but when I used the bathroom it looked cute! Staff was friendly and all wore masks. I had the she crab soup (SOO GOOD), coconut shrimp, hummus platter for apps for the table which was all good! The shrimp was a bit spicy which was great! I shared the swordfish with my friend which had lentils and green beans but the fish wasn't great which was a bummer because I love swordfish. My friend had chicken meatballs which he raves about and my husband had the pork chops which he raved about too. Apps were good but the swordfish dish was bland unfortunately. Giving it 4 stars because everything was good except my fish for the entree, maybe will try something else when I come back when in town. read more

Setting is pretty: it's a converted Victorian house with seating on the wraparound porch. Food was just OK. Had the shrimp and grilled octopus: sauce was very oily and heavy, and couldn't tell what the other components of the dish were. And it was spicy. I also had the Korean bowl with shrimp; a bit too spicy for my liking, but not overly so. I wish there had been a lot more rice! My husband had the coquilles St. Jacques. He said it was just OK. Dessert was maple bread pudding, which was excellent. Others in my party had the chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake, which were also very good. My recommendation: go for dessert! This place is LOUD. I've only eaten in the dining room twice but have ordered takeout a handful of additional times. There's inconsistencies each time which have made me hesitant to review this place. I will start off by saying that most of the time, the food is fresh. There's times where it's obvious things were over prepped and carried over a few days and the quality takes a deep dive but generally, they're making decent quality food. The hummus plate is my personal favorite of the appetizers. Good assortment and textural variety with crispy chickpeas atop the soft hummus' -- but the veggies are sliced SO thin. It may be a personal preference but I'd love to have thicker veggies that I could use to scoop up the hummus. However it appears they want you to eat it with the pita alone and use the veggies as a garnish. It's no impact to the general quality but would love thick/utilitarian vegetables. The lamb cigars have been soggy and super salty the two times I've had them. The pork has been over cooked so the stuffing oozed out and was in a plopped pile next to the meat. The chateaubriand is lovely but sauce is sometimes bland and other times super salty. read more

Nine months prior with multiple in person meetings and a dozen confirmations back and forth abundantly confirmed every detail for when nearly 40 guests would arrive to celebrate a rehearsal dinner for my brother in law's wedding. Arrive on the day and the entire inside of the restaurant was nicely set and decorated, but for another party, not ours! Outside is where the venue decided to put us. They put up plastic curtains and space heaters all around the porch with tables split on either side of the restaurant's main entrance way for all the thru traffic of the restaurant to pass straight through our group all night. This is where the venue decided to put us while double booking their space trying to make an extra buck, they put our group outside in this thrown together joke so they could get paid for two large events in the same night and get away with it, and sadly they did. The details of the booking were discussed at length multiple times down to the layout of the room we communicated and reserved, INSIDE. It was a cold evening with elderly guests, one of which is over 90 years old with cancer, outside for the evening. In shock, we demanded to speak with the contact person whom we worked with, Joleen. She was hiding and refused to come out and address us, so instead we met the self identified owner, Rebecca. Rebecca showed absolutely zero remorse, zero sympathy, but a whole lot of passive aggressive attitude. When we, Groom, father of the groom, myself, and one or two other immediate family members, confronted her demanding some answers, she kept throwing out simple phrases and answers such as, "people really like the patio area". At no point did anyone apologize, only kept avoiding confrontation and advising us to "just enjoy the evening". Many more attempts to get any type of answer as to what she, the owner, would like to offer us to help compensate for this major mess up led to nowhere. I could now tell her angle, eventually we would have to just give up and enjoy the evening because we literally had no other option, and she knew it too. After arguing on and off all night, after everyone finally left at the end, the venue decided to offer some compensation in the form of a free champagne toast, which was served at dinner, and two one hundred dollar gift cards back to their restaurant. Yup, thousands of dollars, several months planning, and one sour memory forever stamped on their wedding weekend. thanks for the gift cards. I can never recommend this place to anyone after how we were treated, by the owner no less. Think twice before working with this restaurant, there are plenty of other places to go to even consider visiting this one. read more

Morgan is a wonderful restaurant. We were introduced to it during the summer and have been back since. There is a good variety on the menu, just enough so that what they prepare is done well. And let's not forget the atmosphere. The restaurant is located in a Victorian mansion, which is delughtful. They also have dining on the front porch, if al fresco is your thing. Despite an empty restaurant, we were put in the back corner. We were there for an early dinner. We complained about the flying insects. I wished they moved us. We had the ribs which were excellent, meat falling off the bone. The crab soup was also excellent. The other dishes we had were a little salty like the Mediterranean bowl. For drinks - the espresso martini didn't have much baileys if any, it was pretty much straight vodka. Pear martini was decent maybe a touch sweet. I ordered coquille st Jacques, my partner; the lobster newburgh. They were both extremely flavorful dishes; albeit not traditional. My coquille was in a brown sauce, which was quite sweet-I'm used to a white wine/cream/gruyere preparation. Still, very delicious and the scallops were tender. For the price, could have had an extra scallop or two. The lobster newburgh was also priced quite high-for the amount of seafood. We can't say enough about Ashley; our server. She was really amazing. Our waitress whose name I think was Erin was wonderful, she was exceptionally gracious and knowledgeable. We went outside of our comfort zone with dinner tonight and are glad we did it somewhere where they knocked it out of the park.
