We always enjoy dinner at Morgan & Co. when in the area. Our server Tammy was very friendly and personable. The Moroccan Grill with shrimp, lamb, chicken, harrissa and couscous was excellent! Nice sitting on their huge front porch.

It takes a notable dining experience for me to award a restaurant five stars, and Morgan & Co. checked off all the boxes. Since we live on the outskirts of Saratoga Springs, we tend to make our restaurant selections from the vast number of options within a short drive from us. Morgan & Company was highly recommended by a few friends, and we were game for a new place, so we thought we'd give it a try. Bam! Love that it's situated in an old (1890s) house that had been built by the Morgans who owned a lumber yard. The flow from outside spaces and bar to the intimate rooms inside welcomed guests. The place was packed even on a Thursday night so I must emphasize that you need to make a reservation here (as I did). We were seated at a table for two by the window facing the street. Perfect! Nowadays, many establishments have cut back on their offerings. On the contrary, Morgan & Co.'s menu was extraordinary. My husband and I had a really hard time making our selections. In the end, we both were attracted to the Escargots in Mushroom Caps (delicious) for starters. (It would have been nice if the bread had been warm, just sayin'.) For our entrees, my spouse selected the Brisket Bowl which he thoroughly enjoyed. He never picks something of this ilk when dining out but he really liked it. I chose the Swordfish Oscar which was exceptional. Nicely grilled with just the right amount of sauce (not smothered). Would have liked to see a bit more crab for the high price point, but ... Our server, Erin, was a true hospitality professional. Her warm smile, friendly demeanor and attention to us added to a delightful experience at this restaurant. She is a true asset! There is off-street parking and you can also easily find street parking here which is always a consideration for us. One thing you should be aware of is that the place is loud when full. I had been alerted to this one negative by my friends. When we first arrived, most of the tables were occupied and, as such, the noise level was a bit uncomfortable - we found ourselves raising our voices between us when communicating across our small table. To remedy this problem, as someone who worked in the hospitality industry my entire career, I would recommend the additional of soft goods on the walls to muffle the sound. Despite the 30-minute drive, we have placed Morgan & Co. high on our list of restaurants we love and look forward to returning.

Delicious Company to Keep! A Rare Find with stellar service, gourmet food quality and flavor, and ambiance all in one package. Top 1% rating for me. Had the Moroccan Cigars to start, tender minced lamb spring rolls with delicious harissa. Moroccan Mixed Grill for the main was in a word OUTSTANDING! Having lived in New Orleans for a decade, the bar on shrimp is really high and these were perfect! Three shrimp, a lamb tenderloin chop and a generous chicken kabob delivered diverse and refreshing flavors. No boredom here! The couscous was really light and fluffy, with perfectly seasoned veggies. On top of all this you get a coconut curry broth for dipping. Wife had the Maple Glazed Salmon with a large portion of fresh fish topped with a crunchy light maple crumble, along with french green beans and delicious creamed parsnips. The Maple Bread Pudding was HUGE and should come with a Surgeon General warning about the risk of compulsive addiction, it's just that good!

Flavor and people are fantastic. The service is spot on. My wife says flat out best lasagna (with brisket no less) she has ever had. The Moroccan grill had flavor. The atmosphere is beautiful Highly recommend.

Ask the Community - Morgan & Co. Restaurant

I have quite a few food intolerances (gluten, dairy, soy, beef, chicken, nightshades, nuts, and more). Will I be able to find anything to eat here?

I'd say it might be tough, unfortunately. It's a great place but I didn't find that their menu was catering to any particular food sensitivities.

This weekend was my first time in Lake George, and I usually try to steer clear of chain restaurants when on road trips. Boyfriend is definitely more a chain fan and before meeting me, would only go to places like the 99, Applebees, etc - but he really appreciates local spots now. However - I make an exception for Texas Roadhouse! We had no idea there was one in Queensbury, 10 minutes from our Lake George hotel, and when we spotted it we decided to cancel our reservation for another local spot and go there instead... It was packed. 50-minute wait for a table and the fact that Boyfriend agreed to wait says a lot. I guess a lot of people take their moms out on the Saturday night for Mother's Day?? But I love a packed restaurant, so I was in my comfort zone here. Food did *not* disappoint! We had our usual... him the steak with fries and Caesar salad and I did the grilled shrimp with rice, baked potato and corn. We shared more grilled shrimp as an app - we love the lemon and garlic sauce... wish I could replicate this at home. Lastly Boyfriend is insisting I mention our waitress Lexi.... She was excellent! Super friendly and professional, very efficient! Ask to be seated in her section! We absolutely will next time we visit (because yeah, we'll be back. I'll need a two-night stay next time to also try another restaurant!)

The steaks, for the price, are unbeatable. Seasoned well and cooked perfectly almost every time.

I explained that this was a Christmas gift and that I would like something other than an 11x13 piece of paper with a dollar amount on it that someone could open as a nice gift. They couldn't help me. (Everyone knows Staples can print such cards in a pinch). I thanked them and said that I would try another local restaurant, the reply was "good luck". Good luck, not apologetic and Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays.....just good luck. How sad that the fabric of society has been reduced to this........ I did go to another restaurant down the street and bought the gift certificates from a very gracious bar tender, who I happily tipped and exchanged Christmas greetings. We tried to go there the other night for drinks but after standing at the bar for five minutes being ignored we left. Friday we stopped for lunch. We asked to sit by the road to people watch and the hostess said they were short staffed and were trying to seat people close together which was fine. It took our waitress a long time to come take our order, and then a long time to bring our drinks. Thank God we weren't parched or something. My husband wanted to order an IPA-they didn't have any. He ordered an Oktoberfest beer and said it was gross. I got a Brisk lemonade and it was $4.25......burgers and salads were $20+ for lunch. I told my husband it wasn't very good but he wanted to try it anyway. After looking at the menu we split the nachos. They were soggy and weird. All the toppings except the cheese sauce were on the bottom under the chips. We almost went to Mikado and wished we had even though we have been going there a lot. We got to watch it from our seat across the road. The table next to us didn't finish their food and got it boxed up. The hostess gave me their food and I told her it wasn't mine and she took it back and gave it to the right person. But if I hadn't said anything that man wouldn't have gotten his leftovers...all of these little things aren't a big deal but added up together kind of show what it is like here. I have tried it many times and rarely have a good experience. They have a nice neon sign though.
