It did not disappoint. We had the opportunity to check it out following a wake in Queensbury. Our drinks were very good. My Limoncello Spritzer really hit the spot. My husband was delighted that his Bloody Mary did not include any olives (lol). However, $18 is steep for tomato juice, folks. We shared the Brussel Sprouts as a Starter. Both of us ordered the Crab and Scallop Cake Benny which was topped with hollandais, served on a bed of arugula and accompanied by tasty potatoes. Absolutely delicious! Our server was very nice. She seemed to be handling a lot of the tables and managed it well. We were not rushed nor did we feel neglected. It's a small place, cozy and welcoming. Love the china. There is a parking lot and also street parking. The menu is limited. If you have fussy eaters, you may want to check it out online before making a reservation (which is recommended). This warm cocktail was a total delight and absolutely hit the spot. We started with the house bread. I know it sounds like "just bread," but the texture was perfect, and the ricotta honey spread paired with it nicely. For entrées, I had the chicken schnitzel. It was crispy and well-executed, and the beurre blanc was silky and rich. I think it would have been even better with spaetzle, but the portion size was generous on its own--I'm just a starch girlie. My husband ordered the bolognese, which was flavorful and came in a healthy portion. He ended up taking some home, which we love because leftovers are never a bad thing. For dessert, we shared the pot de crème. The balance of caramel, saltiness, and chocolate was the perfect finish. The chocolate was rich and smooth. I also loved the décor--it was such a pleasant surprise to find a place like this in South Glens Falls.

The bar was loud, with many enjoying drinks, but we wanted a dinner where we could chat. The hostess was not happy when we told her we were not going to sit there. A reservation for dining we learned did not automatically mean we would be seated in the dining room. Finally she agreed to see what she could do as we waited outside. After a few minutes our table was ready in the dining room. The dining room that was at best half full, with many tables available. We had a very nice waitress who was busy but yet able to be attentive to us. We ordered drinks, all very good, including my mojito. Ordered our appetizers, a flatbread and the fried beans. Very good. And then we waited and waited for our entrees to arrive. Ordered another round of drinks. Finally they arrived, the sliced steak entree ordered by 3 of us, was very good. The chicken sandwich good, but the lobster roll was short on lobster, with many almost ground pieces. $42 ridiculous, better lobster rolls at Hannaford. This was once one of our favorite restaurants in town, even going back to the previous owner. Doubt we will be back soon with many of the options now in Glens Falls.

The focus here is on the crafted cocktails. Not only are they good, but they are SMOKY. The majority of their crafted cocktails feature smoke of some type, and your drink is smoked right in front of you. I went with Rosemary's Baby, which was a variety of Old Fashioned infused with smoke from a large sprig of rosemary. This is a great addition to downtown Glens Falls, and someplace I'd definitely visit on return trips.
