As long as you like goat cheese, you should like this sandwich. I loved it. Other meals included the pulled pork sandwich and Reuben. All were good. The order of garlic and rosemary fries are very crispy - good for snack or just pair with some beers. Overall, decent place and service. I would return!

If you're looking to feed a large group of people in Lake George, and you want to sit by the water,…read moreThe Lagoon is an eminently solid choice. The menu is massive, and so you should easily be able to find something for everybody...unless that person is looking for something super healthy. The Lagoon has burgers, and pizza, and lobster boats, and fish and chips, and four kinds of mac and cheese, and the appetizer list consists of all the things, fried: brussels sprouts, mozzarella wedges, wings, and more. We ordered all three of those fried things I mentioned to start, buffalo mac and cheese, a pizza, fish and chips, a cheesesteak, chicken fingers and a Greek salad. Our server was super bubbly and brought us all the sauces and drinks and everything else we asked for. It isn't going to blow you away with their culinary innovation, but The Lagoon hits a certain spot, and can seat your whole party with a view. I'd do it again.

I was here on a Tuesday afternoon and generally felt unwanted. The staff would congregate in a…read morecorner inside and someone would only venture out to the patio if there was food to deliver to a table, but you would have difficulty getting their attention even as they were walking back. Ordered was the poutine, a turkey club, and the hot buttered lobster roll. I came here for the poutine, a previous review had been very complimentary. I was underwhelmed, the gravy was thin, the cheese and tenderloin scarce. I will give the fries credit, crispy and seasoned, they were a solid base. Being so close to Canada, I'd expect better. The club was loaded up with dry turkey and not enough mayonnaise to help balance that out, but again the tots were crispy and seasoned so they were a gem, possibly the best thing here (and that's not a compliment because they're clearly a prepackaged product). The lobster in the lobster roll was chewy and dry, the roll was crispy but it was as though they had made garlic bread with a hot dog bun, then shoved some sad lobster bits in it. The coleslaw was drenched in dressing, but bland enough that I ate it for some texture and filling after being left wholly unsatisfied by my roll. All in all, I get the impression this restaurant relies solely on the lake, and their proximity to giving you a view while you eat, almost entirely to distract from a subpar performance in every other aspect of restauranting.

Both of my experiences are extremely different. My first time here I came for dinner with a group of friends and we had a phenomenal experience with our waitress Sue. She had great table side manors, she was efficient, and she was so nice and pleasant to speak with. The food was amazing I had a grilled chicken sandwich- my only complaint is that the avocado tasted weird but I just removed it from my sandwich. My friends enjoyed their hot dog meal, pizza, & nachos. We had a wonderful experience and loved our waitress sue so we decided to come back the following day. Our second day here we came for lunch and had a waitress named Jess. She was absolutely horrible and had no table side manors and was extremely rude and bothered to be working with us. I feel she was also racist or judgmental towards her co workers. I asked for the bacon cheeseburger with no onion tomato lettuce, & her response was, "so you want a plain cheeseburger?" & she looked at me like I asked a crazy question. I responded saying well I want the bacon on it so a bacon cheeseburger. My friend, wanted a plain burger with only lettuce and onion, & Jess said," so you want a plain burger with everything on it?" I'm not sure how much more clear we could have spoken to our waitress. She was very nasty. She also made a comment that the cooks are Spanish and she has no idea how she will translate our orders to the cooks. That is not the customers problem or concern and should not have been said to us. Jess never checked in at our table to see if we needed refills, napkins, etc. We needed a refill on drinks, so we found a waitress nearby and were asking for assistance. Jess saw this and came running over & said, " she has no idea what you're saying she doesn't speak English." & she then proceeded to get our drinks. I couldn't believe my ears, how incredibly rude was that comment. Her comment felt very judgmental and rude. She had no class whatsoever. At the end of our meal she came over to us and told us the dollar amount of our bill and walked away. We had to ask for a receipt. Absolutely ridiculous. If I ever came back to this place I want Sue as my waitress!!!! Thank you Sue for your over the top service and friendliness!!!! Also fyi**** 18% tip is automatically included in your bill.
