We came here for dinner one night during our vacation. The food was very good and the food also came out really really fast. The service was super fast, very accommodating very very patient and caring. They took care of all of our questions and request politely and quickly. I got the Maryland crabcake and it was delicious. It becomes with french fries and you got two crabcakes with the order. We also got the buffalo chicken wings as an appetizer. They were very good and not too spicy. The restaurant over lake and you can see a very pretty view and you can also see the boats going around. They also had some live music which was very nice. read more

It seems as though this place can be hit or miss based on the reviews and, fortunately, we had a nice experience here. Firstly, sitting overlooking the water and trees was lovely and it was a great view while we ate. In that sense, the atmosphere was excellent and what I'd hope for when vacationing on the lake. Our server was attentive, kind, friendly, and checked in on us often. We felt taken care of and at no point did we ever need to flag her down for any sort of assistance. Now, the food: we both opted for the po'boy sandwich with fries, and boy am I glad that we did. It was excellent! The shrimp were perfectly cooked, the greens were fresh, the bread was soft, and the sauce was incredibly flavorful. I found myself wanting to go back for more of these sandwiches, which says a lot! The open air seating is wonderful, but I also found that it may have encouraged some more boisterous conversations at the other tables. That said, we had a few tables around us that were quite loud. While overlooking such a beautiful bit of scenery, I could have done without that. However, this isn't the restaurant's fault. Worth mentioning if you're hoping for a bit more peace. Had lunch on the patio and it was excellent. Fancy bloody mary with shrimp and bacon, Greek salad with grilled shrimp, super crispy fries, a decent shrimp po' boy sandwich. Service was good and the views are stunning. I do think I'd order the fried shrimp instead of the sandwich next time - there just seemed to be a lot of bread and not enough shrimp. The grilled shrimp on my salad were excellent - fresh and tasted of the sea. Very nice fresh veggies and homemade dressing. A tradition in Lake George! read more

This restaurants is great for dining by the waterfront either ample free parking across from Shepherd Park. Service is fast, friendly, and helpful for you to eat and then digest after a walk. Food is edible, but nothing special. You can't go wrong with fish and chips or sweet potato tots and their drinks. However, the Maryland lump crab cakes clearly aren't advertised accurately given there were no lumps of crab meat that I'm used to seeing and eating in Maryland. read more

This isn't meant as a dig but a few of the "on the water" restaurants are a bit rundown. These seem geared towards the tourists that are maybe more eager to get their drink on, listen to some sloppy "live music" (usually a guy with a guitar that's still struggling to learn the chord changes to The Eagles' most popular songs) and not too concerned with the food (otherwise how can you explain the popularity of Christie's?!). Then there's Boardwalk. By far the cleanest and classiest joint (with a rather large "fingerprint" on and above the lake for tables and couches) of the five or six in the vicinity. We visited for lunch and the food was ridiculously good. From a pulled-pork sandwich (too sugary-sweet for me, but my one kid dug it) to a Cesar salad with salmon (which the Mrs. devoured) to my own Santa Fe chicken wrap for (bursting with flavor and big enough that I couldn't even think about dinner that night) - no faults could be found. Solid beer list. Decent pricing. Friendly staff. And it's probably a good thing I stopped after one pint of wheat beer because I was positive at the end of the outdoor patio it was a real person that seemed to be staring into his binoculars for an unusually long time. We went to the Broadwalk for dinner yesterday! What can I say our server was Jill And she was fantastic, we had three youngsters and she made sure they had their food first! She was very attentive to all of us, a great asset! Now the food OMG started were Mozella sticks and chicken wings totally awesome, she suggested crab cake and hubby and DIL both ordered and high portions My son had the Ruben which looked awesome And he said it was the best, I had the fried shrimp and the were at least 12 shrimp perfectly fried and season! Lake side lunching m at its best. It's a nice place on the shore of Lake George. No reservations allowed or at least when we were there. The Lagoon kind of has that Booting motif/outdoor camping pavilion all in one. The service and staff were great. Beautiful views of Lake George and good comfort food. Came with a big group of people, luckily the restaurant wasn't too busy so we were able to get a good table on a Saturday night. Right on the water which is nice, able to take good pictures. Food was good, had the chicken tenders for an appetizer & lobster roll for an entree. The drinks were fairly strong but tasted like bottom shelf liquor. So we went to this place for lunch as a family. We didn't even know if it would be good but it was wonderful. I got a fish sandwich which was delicious and an excellent Bloody Mary. Absolutely satisfactory. I wouldn't say that the food here is "off the hook fantastic!!".... but it is decent and the location is awesome. I don't live terribly far from Lake George and I rarely go there during tourist season. This is the first time I've ever even heard of the boardwalk restaurant...we met some friends for dinner and to check out the live music that evening. There was a private party on the deck overlooking the water, so we were unable to hang out in that area as originally planned. Live music is usually outside but he was stuck in a warm, empty (indoor) bar area. The food ordered was a combination of crabcakes, clams, salad with grilled chicken, sweet potato tater tots, a hotdog with french fries (for the little guy) and fish tacos. Again...nothing was extraordinary but it certainly wasn't terrible. The salad was huge. My clams were extremely salty and the tater tots with melba sauce were very tasty albeit a bit mushy. I like a crisp on the outside of my tater tots. Service was friendly and the views of the lake and rolling hills are terrific. There is a "private" parking lot with a decent amount of spots if you get there early enough. It's three dollars per hour after the parking ticket is validated. We walked around a bit after dinner and only had to pay a grand total of three dollars to park. read more

5 stars for the location, ambiance and space! - huuge outdoor seating by the water, next to the lovely Shepherd's park right downtown. 5 stars for the service! Very nice, friendly, professional wait staff. 4 stars for the fries But honestly the fish was good, though not as fresh as imagined. The fried calamari was delicious, but like the fish, there was too much fried breadcrumbs compared to the meat. Marinara sauce was great! My main issue was with the crabcakes, which tasted like they had been refrigerated or in the freezer for a while. It's understandable that these processes take place in a restaurant, obviously and they are necessary. But the taste was so off-putting and obvious, that I could not finish. The homemade sauce it comes with also seemed a bit peculiar, but maybe I just wasn't used to it. read more

My family recently visited the Boardwalk while in Lake George on vacation. Some of us came via land and others by boat who are camping on one of the islands. We both had an easy time finding the Boardwalk and it was convenient to have both options. We had pulled pork sandwich, crab cakes, fish &chips, a salad, and a wrap and we all enjoyed our meals. The wings were also enjoyed as an app. We also enjoyed the view of the lake from inside the building (saw quite a few paraglides which was fun and the steamboats going in and out as well). We didn't have to wait for service (a concern because they do not take reservations) but it was a Monday night the end of August. It was a cool night so we were all comfortable but as an FYI, the inside doesn't have air conditioning so keep that in mind if it's a hot day! Overall a very enjoyable experience. read more

Great location overlooking the Lake. Service was commendable considering the place on a Thursday evening was packed. We had to wait about 20 minutes to get seated, which was enough time to walk the lakefront path. When your table is ready, they will send a text to your phone and also call you, so you don't have to feel compelled about "hanging around" until your name is called. Our waitress was nice; she brought out a sample size of an entree for my son to try to make sure he'd like it first. The pulled pork reuben was delicious, although they give a few too many kettle cooked potato chips with it, IMHO. Paired with a Goose Neck IPA, it otherwise made for a great meal. On Thursday nights at 930p, the area outside the restaurant makes for the ideal spot to watch the Lake's summer fireworks. read more

5 of us ate dinner on 9/6 the food was good. It was Adirondack's nationals car show. About an hour later our 5 kids age ranging from 23-27 came to eat at our recommendation. There was an empty 6 top directly to the side of us the entire hour. They refused to seat them there. They said they could squeeze at the 4 top in front of us, which they did. 10 min later they were told they couldn't sit there. They asked to move to inside bar area where they were told they could not accommodate them. Again entire empty room except for 4 bar patrons. They left to get dinner elsewhere. I inquired to the manager as to why our kids weren't served and they said maybe they didn't go to host. I said the tables have been empty the whole time. He said I don't know I've never had this problem in four years. I told him to deduct 25% from my bill and tip your waitress that's what she deserved and you should be ashamed of yourself for not seating five hungry adults!!! Side note: not drunk not misbehaving and would have tipped very well!!!!! I'm so upset at this incident I work in the industry and would never treat customers this way for no reason. read more

This is a place where you come for the view and not the food. That said, we sat on the patio and the view was AMAZING! It took a while for a waitress to come over, which was strange since it wasn't really that busy. We were starving so order our apps and food all at once. The mozzarella sticks were ok, a little soggy. The chicken fingers were advertised as coming with honey mustard, which they did not come with, so we had to ask. The location and view are beautiful. They have an extended sitting area where you can lounge on couches and order drinks from the bar. If you come hear, skip the restaurant and head for that sitting area. We made the mistake of ordering food at the restaurant and it was not good. Clam Chowder: Not terrible, but not worth the price they charged Caesar Salad: Pretty standard but the dressing was just off-putting and got worse with each bite Chicken Tenders: These are frozen chicken sponges, all the same size and shape and were just terrible Fries: Paid extra for these and they came out cold and soggy. We didn't eat much of the food and the waitress didn't seem to notice or ask how we liked it. Also the drink prices were very high - $9 for a bottle of hard cider and $8 for a small draft beer. However, the view is beautiful and i would definitely go there just for drinks. read more

We ordered a small size with grilled chicken. Plenty of food for one person. It was fresh, delicious and satisfying. The others in the group ordered the pulled pork Rueben. Quite impressive and large. The pork is cooked on location I understand. I would recommend it just on flavor but it's large enough to share. We decided to go to the Boardwalk Restaurant because it had amazing views of the lake. Wait was 90 minutes which wasn't bad considering it was very busy. Once we got sat the table was sticky and dirty. Also where they sat us there was a table directly above us which was uncomfortable as I could feel the customer right above my head. (NOT GREAT WITH COVID) The kitchen staff were it wearing masks (all front of house was) and the food was mediocre at best. I am not one to write bad reviews but.. I feel like if you are in Lake George this is one place you can skip. read more

My experience here was overall good because our server was very friendly and helpful and the view was spot on! I was extra happy because on Thursdays at 9:30PM there are fireworks and we were right in front of the show. As for the food we ordered Clam Strips, A Classic Burger, and Butterfly Shrimps.To be honest, I have nothing to say about any of these. They were all just mediocre. It tasted like any other chain type of restaurant although this may not be a chain, but it tasted like one of those Applebee's type of average foods. My boyfriend and I did enjoy the drinks though! :) If I could, I would give this place a 2.5, but I rounded it up to 3 stars because of the exceptional location and for our good server. read more

Basically the same as most of the other restaurants on lake George. Your paying for the view. Food is ok but don't expect any gormet food. Pulled pork, chicken ceasar wrap, a few salads about 4 fish dinners are some of the meals. I had the chicken ceasar wrap and it was ok. Nothing to brag about but it wasn't bad either. They cheap out and give you chips and charge you $2.00 extra for french fries which came out cold for everyone else at the table. Nobody at my table really had any complaints besides the cold fries but nobody said any of there food was really good either. You get free parking as long as you eat there. read more

This place was absolutely packed when we got there for lunch on a weekday, but we got lucky and were able to be seated without waiting. The view is fantastic off of their deck. The servers are quick and friendly, which is honestly impressive enough in a restaurant as busy as this. The beer selection is decent, and the glasses were actually glass - which is a step up from some other places along the lake. The food is also a step above a lot of other places. I had the fish and chips and they were quite good. There wasn't too much batter on the fish, and the chips were perfectly crispy. The person I was with also really enjoyed the Maryland-style crab cakes. read more

Local here! I don't mind waiting, especially on a holiday weekend, but the unwillingness of this restaurant to be helpful knows no bounds. It is beyond belief that people in my party can order huge Bloody Marys with gorgeous chilled jumbo shrimp, but the restaurant won't serve a shrimp cocktail - go figure. I didn't ask for something totally not on the menu, such as jumbo shrimp scampi with fresh grated 4 cheeses and a touch of basil, or a shrimp picatta etc. I just wanted a shrimp cocktail, simply 6 jumbo shrimp with a lemon wedge. Considering that jumbo shrimp can be ordered in a bar drink, what would it have been to put 6 of these babies on a plate, charge me $20, and make me a happy customer? It was 8 at night on the 4th and the restaurant wasn't entirely full, so its not like making a shrimp cocktail from the pre-cooked shrimp at the bar would have been too time consuming etc. I asked if a Bloody Mary could be ordered with extra shrimp - as they come with 3 jumbos. I was told yes, I could order extra shrimp on a bloody Mary, so guess what, I ordered a bloody Mary with 3 extra shrimp so I could have a shrimp cocktail - ridiculous! I did not drink the bloody Mary, its not really my drink, but I did what I had to do in order to be somewhat happy that I could get a shrimp cocktail in the first place. It may seem a bit petty, but if this is what customers have to do to enjoy the experience of dining at a less than adequate restaurant, considering there is no logic as to why I couldn't get a shrimp cocktail - then so be it. I WILL NOT be tying up here again, I will not be eating here anymore, and I will not be bringing friends and family here again. I won't even be buying my boat gas here anymore... this is how infuriated I am that something so simple as a shrimp cocktail was not able to be sorted when in fact there is chilled shrimp at the damned bar!
