I initially assumed it may have been a language or communication issue, I asked for just some ice and the server questioned the ones he already brought. I explained when I requested the rocks on the side, I wanted the ice that was used to make my drink. He still seemed confused and I never got even the plain ice. At a property of this caliber, it was surprising that a common request like "rocks on the side" wasn't understood.
