We took our family here for dinner during a recent vacation in Lake George, New York. The decor at this restaurant is really outdoorsy and really fun. They have tree branches all throughout and a giant moose sculptures. They also have lightning and thunder that flashed throughout the restaurant while you're eating was just makes it super fun. The service was very attentive and all of our food was really good. I had a strawberry daiquiri and my daughter had a virgin daiquiri and they were both delicious. This might have been one of my favorite restaurants in Lake George. The décor is similar to a Rain forest café, so it is perfect for families. We were able to get seated right away and our service was nice. We actually did not need to give our kids ipads here since there is so much for them to look at! I ordered the southwest salad and was very happy with it. We also ordered the buffalo chicken dip, but it was not spicy enough for us. I've been to lake George more times than I can count and never stopped here to eat until my most recent trip last weekend. Pleasantly surprised! We were walking around town and just wanted a quick bite to eat. we saw no one was sitting outside and decided to have dinner here on the patio. First impression was that they are very kid friendly, with a coloring book menu, crayons and a moose antler crown. Love this!! The waiter was super nice, and took our drink order and my 2 year olds order first. The kids meal came out so fast, another plus. We ordered a few apps and our meals which unfortunately took a pretty long time. Nothing absurd, but it was a longer wait than we would have liked, especially with a younger child who at this point had finished eating before our apps even arrived. All the apps were good, and meals were tasty (standard bar food, which honestly is my favorite lol) We ate outside so I can't comment on the interior decorations, but from what I see in other reviews and yelp photos, it looks like a lot of fun, and another great way to keep the kids entertained. The big pro was that my kids thought the decor was super fun and loved the environment. Unfortunately, it was not great from an adult perspective. The air inside the place was warm and stagnant, and there was a bit of a mess on the floor where we were seated. The bathroom did not feel air conditioned at all which made taking my toddler to the bathroom unpleasant. The food was very mid. I got a burger that was clearly just something frozen and made on a grill. I know LG is a resort town, but the price for that was ridiculous. Same for my husband's burger. Our kids' chicken tenders looked OK, and they're not picky, but the extra upcharge for certain drinks was a lot. The beer was bland and the service was just OK. I wouldn't return. read more

We really enjoyed all of the sights and sounds while waiting for our food. Between the thunderstorm and the phantom piano I'm not sure what I liked best. The food was very good. I had the bacon cheeseburger and asked for a side of their chipotle aioli and I loved it. We also had an order of buffalo chicken dip, and my 6 year old had the Kraft Mac and cheese (gotta love picky eaters...). Our favorite was the s'mores though! Absolutely loved this place! Felt like a Rainforest Cafe but for adults as the lighting and speakers would sometimes take the effect of a thunderstorm -- so fun. The decor matched this outdoorsy theme and was so in line with the Lake George setting. The food was really great as well! My sandwich (not pictured) was the hot honey chicken sandwich and it was truly the best hot honey chicken sandwich I have ever had. The steak Gorgonzola panini was just alright, nothing amazing, and the burger was good! Our apps (also not pictured) were delicious as well, Chips with salsa and guacamole, and bloomin onion -- both tasted very fresh and flavorful! Service was fast and as good as can be expected. Not too much follow up at the table but food was quick and servers were helpful and polite. 5/5 would absolutely visit again. An instant classic and a new favorite. read more

It's like a mini rainforest cafe, they have a few animals around and a simulated thunderstorm that comes up every few mins. My husband and I ate here while staying in town and neither of us were impressed. The restaurant wasn't that busy, but for the amount of time it took for our waitress to come you would think it was. She was very dismissive when she was serving us and at one point basically just tossed our silverware on the table as she walked by. I ordered the blooming onion and it was awful. It looked like the took it out of the drier and immediately put it on the plate, there was still so much oil on it that the oil was dripping off of the onion. My husband had a quesadilla that he said was bland and barely warm. Both of us ended up with bad stomach aches after we eat here. Also, there was a light above our table that strobed the whole meal, I understand when it strobed to mimic the thunderstorm, but it should've stopped after that, and it did not. read more

This was my first visit to Lake George. We went to the Moose Tooth Grill because it looked busy so it must be good. Well, our experience was not so good. The three stars are for the excellent service. The wait staff is nice and efficient. We had artichoke bites for appetizers and they were flavorless and hard inside. The mushroom burger was dry and also lacked flavor. The menu states smothered in mushrooms, not so. The pulled pork tacos also lacked flavor. It's too bad, it's really a cute place. read more

We've been coming to Lake George for about 7 years, and this was the 1st time we tried Moose Tooth. We ate inside, and we liked having a booth. (Didn't try the bathrooms, so I can't comment on that.) However, despite being inside, there were several flies inside. For food, we ordered 3 meals - steak, salmon, Buffalo chicken quesadilla. The steak has a lot of pepper on it, the steak itself was OK but too much seasoning. The salmon was prepared nicely. The quesadilla was good but greasy. Sides were only ok. Husband had a beer flight which was decent. I had a Chardonnay which was not so great at all. All in all we would go there if the wait was too long elsewhere on a busy night. At Lake George with the family for the first time. Have found the food to be overpriced and under quality at most of the places we have tried. $100 bills for takeout pizza are a little bit much each night. Had just my 2 boys tonight and did some research on where we could eat out. Found this place on Yelp. Read through the reviews. So many great ones but also so many horrible nasty ones. Almost didn't try the place. Here are my thoughts to the 2 most frequent complaints I found on here. 1) Dirty. I did not find it dirty but understand why people would say that. Tables take a while to get bussed and we sat next to half eaten remains for a decent amount of time. Didn't bother me and I never worried about the kitchen or anything while we were there. 2) Food Quality. Is this place a 5 star rated Michelin restaurant. Heck no. Is the majority of the menu premade and not made fresh from scratch each customer? 99% sure of that. Each kid got a kids meal for $7. It was Kraft Mac and Cheese and the other was a ballpark level cheeseburger. Both loved them. I tried the Cheeseburger Quesadilla. It was flavorful and filled me up. Fries are never ending on adult meals. Got some extra value there. We were pretty hungry. Other positives. The rain forest gimmick (Rain Forest Cafe light) entertained my kids tremendously. The thunder storm and also the robotic animals were fun. The make your own S'mores dessert was fun and a great way to end the meal. Attached a picture Server extremely friendly and accommodating. This entire downtown area of Lake George is a tourist trap, with motels, souvenir shops, and cheezy eateries. I'm sure there are some decent restaurants, too, but this is not one of them. This place is like a third-rate Rainforest Cafe, apparently geared towards families with kids, although the only saving grace here is the beer selection. I enjoyed a cold Lake George hard cider on tap. Come here for the drinks, but hard pass on the food. Wife had a chicken and pesto panini with french fries ($14). The sandwich was the size of an english muffin, with barely any filling. I had the pulled pork tacos, also with the obligatory french fries ($17). Two soft flour tortillas with a barely a hint of meat, a little BBQ sauce, a few shreds of lettuce and cheese, and a squirt of avocado sauce on top. Each taco was three bites of food. The food was unsatisfying, almost an insult, so I would not come back here. read more

Its a themed restaurant in LG, its like a super small and lesser version of Rainforest cafe. Most of the restaurants within downtown LG are small when its on the main street. The wait here for lunch/dinner can be 45 min to an hour, we stayed nearby and everytime we walked pass it there were usually folks waiting outside during dining hours. read more

Went here tonight after having an awful experience next door at kicking country. Was with a group of 8 people all of which were adults. We all enjoyed our food as it was served fairly quickly and hot. My hot honey chicken sandwich was delicious and everyone else enjoyed their food. My daughter enjoyed her quesadilla and my son loved the mac and cheese. Great service, fair price for a place on the strip. We will definitely be back next year. read more

Vegans/vegetarians/etc be warned: The food here was mediocre and very lacking for vegans and vegetarians. I do not recommend coming here if you are either, though the whole town seemed to lack options for said people. The guacamole came in store purchased containers. Like literally they bought it at stop and shop and left it in the container, I have bought the exact brand before. Kind of weird and I am positive it would taste better if they made it in house. Three of my friends ordered salads but did not finish them as the lettuce was brown. On the plus side: The staff was nice and the place seemed clean. The restaurant probably gets away with its odd food packaging and lack of vegan/vegetarian options because there are cool effects every few minutes. We ordered takeout after a full day of boating on LG. Had we been in the restaurant we would have sent everything back. The chicken panini had no chicken and one scoop of pesto in a glob on the bread. The pork sandwich was three thin slices of pork with three pickle coins and a slice of American cheese. The French dip was exactly as described in another review: chopped steak-ums over cooked and dried out on a hard dry roll. I'm guessing the only way this place stays in business is the location. Wait staff seems to be always preoccupied with something else and not around the serving areas for assistance. Environment is kid friendly and somewhat nice. We had a party of 9 go to eat dinner inside. Once seated inside we observed strobe light going off where two members of our party could have seizures from the light. I went outside to the hostess to politely ask if the strobe lights could be turned off. Another worker there was extremely rude is should say EXTREMELY that we have a sign and the lights will stay on. I was in shock how they handled the situation. Decided to take a trip to Lake George for the first time. During my visit I became hungry after walking around all day. I spotted this restaurant " The Moose Tooth Grill" it had a great atmosphere and staff, other than that well..... I ordered the 3 meats with corn bread and slaw on the side with a order of fries. They were out of corn bread and forgot the slaw and almost forgot the fries if I hadn't said something. My plate....OMG wish I had taken a picture. My ribs were soo small they were gone in two bites and the sausage was nothing special, and I have no idea what meat I ate that was on a bone. The whole meal was very laughable. read more

A fun place to chill out and fill up while experiencing the sights and sounds of the forest! You never know what you're going to hear. The flights of brews were good and homemade rootbeer was really refreshing. We opted for the souvenir mug and they gave us a clean one to take home. Both the regular fries and sweet potato fries were excellent and free refills on them. The only disappointment we had was with the guacamole, salsa and chips app. It was a peel off single serving of "Holy Quacamole", and I thought we were getting something more "homemade". Cute place inside ! It's very forest themed. Every 10 minutes thunderstorm would occur. The lights flickered and you heard rain along with really cool blue lights hanging from the trees to generate the rain! It was neat experience. You also hear animal sounds near by as you eat . Service was good, attentive . They make homemade root beer in these awesome mugs that you can buy for 6$ ! It's so worth it Food was good ! Had a JD burger which had bacon onion cheese and Jack Daniels sauce. Very tasty. Give it a try! read more

Nice spot right in the town of Lake George serving up American fare. The decorations inside remind me a bit of a Rainforest Cafe, complete with "lightning and thunder" sound effects. We started with mozzarella sticks as our appetizer and for my entree, I went with one of their specials for the day, a Blue Moose Burger, which was good. I upgraded to their onion rings with campfire sauce. The campfire sauce was delicious and my wife started dipping her fries in in. My younger son like his swampy pizza, which was a cheese pizza and on what appeared to be like a Boboli crust. He's a picky eater but did like this pizza. My wife who is gluten-free, went with the fish and chips. It was a huge piece of fish but she said it was good. We ended our meal with making s'mores at our table. All in all, a good meal with good service throughout. Their menu states that an 18% service charge will be added to parties of 6 or more and to all separate checks. We were traveling with another family, so needed separate checks. I was a little miffed when I read about the 18% service charge just for splitting checks, but fortunately, we were not charged this. Not sure if we just lucked out, but something to keep in mind. read more

This was recommended by our hotel . We were sat without the "traditional" moose ears for the kids. We ordered mozzarella sticks and nachos for appetizers. The mozzarella sticks were good but presented on a plate of thickly grated Parmesan cheese and lettuce. The nachos were very greasy with beans and tomatoes Tossed on top. The fiesta salad was good however the amount of chicken was very minimal... maybe 3 oz. the BLT was gross. Very greasy with fatty, uncooked bacon. I didn't let my son eat this. The 2 kids meals were fair. The only positive of this experience was our server. She was very nice and accommodating. She offered to replace the BLT and did so in a timely fashion. I'm not really sure how this place has such great reviews. The first qualm I have is that they make you park your stroller away from you. I understand not letting it be in the way but I stressed the entire time that someone was going to swipe it as it was out of site. Meanwhile, another table got to keep their double right by them so I guess rules don't apply to everyone? The rainforest like show is ok, however it didn't even catch my toddler attention so there is that. The food definitely is terrible. They didn't have unsweetened iced tea as they had run out. Well grab a couple bags of Lipton and make some more? We got the pulled pork tacos which were so soggy they were more of a pulled pork mess. My burger was dry and flavorless. I ate a Moose Tooth a few years ago and the food was terrible. 3 years ago all our food was vey clearly cooked from froze . However, I now have a small child and went because the atmosphere is family friendly. I should've trusted my better judgement! We ordered the Bloomin Onion as an appetizer and it was completely raw. The batter was still watery. I ordered a southwestern quesadilla. It was supposed to have beef in it, but I hardly saw any. I'd be shocked if there was more than 1 tablespoon of ground beef in it. It was completely flavorless. My husband ordered a Buffalo chicken quesadilla- it barely had any meat and more shocking-- no buffalo sauce. It might as well have been a cheese quesadilla. Our waitress was nice and didn't charge us for the raw appetizer. Even with the computer app the bill was pricey for a family of 3. $70 for a kids meal, 2 adult entrees, soda, and 2 beers. We had similar priced dinners in LG that included appetizers, better quality food, and cocktails for the same price. I'd avoid this place unless you truly have no other options. read more
