Great atmosphere, clean and friendly! Been here a few times for both dinner as well as just drinks. The bartenders are very friendly and efficient and it's a comfortable place for date night! read more

Now it's true that the food here is nothing special. But neither did I find it to be bad. What made this experience great was our server! She was kind, sweet, attentive and definitely a good up salesman. The sheer amount of time that they allowed us to occupy a table here was truly impressive. Nobody was rude or kicked us out. We were there forever and they were busy! I really enjoyed the cool, comfortable neighborhood vibes here. It's very much a down home Irish pub. We sat next to a warm fireplace, which was great because it was freezing out! Winters here on Planet Hoth are just brutal! Please come check out this great little neighborhood gem. And oh yeah, they have live music! Loved that! read more

We were traveling and stopped for dinner at Henry's on our way through Ballston Spa. We don't mind sitting and waiting for food while traveling, but the service was exceptionally slow. In all, we were in the restaurant just over 2 hours for 3 people. The wait staff appeared to be very young (like 14-16 years old) and aside from the speed, did an overall good job, but just seemed to lack the organization and professionalism of a more mature wait staff. As a side, I asked what the "salad of the day was," and I was told, "I'm not sure. Probably macaroni salad. We have a lot of good salads, and that's usually the last thing I check when I come into work." I went for it and ended up getting a cucumber dill salad, which I probably would have passed on. I had the Reuben sandwich with turkey and it was ok, but I've definitely had better. The turkey didn't seem to have a very fresh flavor. I think the restaurant had potential, but it didn't deliver the night we were there. read more

Love going to Henry's.... Such a beautiful gathering tavern/ restaurant. On this particular day there was a singer/guitarist playing in the corner... I wouldn't say they have a singer there every day, but they do have one there often. On holidays such as St. Patrick's Day or other holidays, Henry's is packed and I mean packed is very hard to find a parking space near this restaurant many times because downtown Boston Spa is very condensed and busy . You may have to park further away and walk down to the restaurant. The food always looks and smells so delicious. Enjoy. read more

Loved it! I had the poutine and the eggplant dish, I loved both of them! The server was super friendly and the ambience was super cozy and low-key. read more

Suck I'll never go there again. All the staff was assholes. Food was overpriced along with the drinks and there was no smiles anywhere. I felt very offended just by ordering food there I hope the place goes out of business. read more

Ordered a bacon lettuce and tomato sandwich. Asked for toasted bread and crispy bacon. Bread was burnt and bacon not only wasn't crispy it was raw and fatty. I wouldn't eat it. Husband left his also. We will never go back! read more

Usually our favorite spot. Worst service, food and drink on st pattys day of all days for this place. Corned beef was tough, Irish nachos had barely anything on them. Service forgot us multiple times and had to keep asking what we needed. A black and tan came back with Guinness and Allagash, server said "just experiment" to the bar tender because neither knew what a black and tan was. Terrible experience and so disappointed, we're here a lot, I guess we have to avoid st Patrick's day! read more

Service was an abomination- waitress and manager swore at us and didn't check on our order which took over an hour and then 5 other couples received food before us- there was no apologies for food taking a long time, just said they were trying their best. Manager chased us out to our car because after an hour with no food we walked out. Rude obnoxious, staff- wouldn't recommend to anyone- better service at a gas station read more

Food was good but waited 20 mins for check to come after we had finished our meals, then waitress took check and payment and proceeded to get on phone for 10 minutes before having someone else return with our receipt and credit card. Very unprofessional in my opinion. read more

We had a lovely lunch for 5. Nice venue with full bar. The corn chowder was excellent. The poutine gravy was made with Guinness. Everyone's sandwiches were good! Service was A plus. read more

Can't say anything about their food because we left after being ignored for 15 minutes. Well, not totally ignored. A server looked at us with a face of not wanting to be bothered. She got her wish, if that was the intent. Little bit of advice: don't go into the service field if you can't be kind to hungry people... people on vacation who drove 3 hours up here, and spent the day at the track - as is our tradition with our 87 year old father, who needed to cross the road and step up the curb in his walker just to get to the table. We're not picky, or high-maintenance, or nasty people that like leaving bad reviews. We were just really tired and hungry and didn't need the crappy treatment we got here. Additionally, I was told this was the only table available. Yet, a party of 3 also sitting outside, requested an inside seat and were given the 5-top inside. read more

Service was great, top notch attention and care went into our experience by our server, couldn't have been happier in that regard. Good beer selection, great drinks on the menu as well. Well varied menu. Food was good and the plates were piled high. There was live music and it wasn't too loud even with a crowded dining room. Came with family and friends and was overall a good experience. read more

The food and service were excellent in a warm and homey ambiance! We love it at Henry's, every time is a home run!

I'm not sure why Henry's Tavern has a 3-star rating because we had a 5-star meal and experience. Looking for a place for lunch, we decided on Henry's based on location and, yes, its reviews. We sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by an awesome bartender. She helped us with selecting the perfect beers and provided some great suggestions on lunch dishes. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Not too loud and they offer a nice selection of food items and drinks. Looking foward to going again in the future! read more

Henry's is one of our favorite places to go in Saratoga County. The food is amazing. You MUST try the fish & chips. Best in the capital region. The service is friendly and welcoming. Great ambiance especially on weekends with live acoustic music. read more

Absolutely amazing food with a great atmosphere. The best French Onion Soup around hands down and the Seafood Risotto is to die for.

I wanted to update my review - just came to Henry's for some breakfast and it was amazing. My pancakes were buttery and delicious, the sausage links are local and delicious. I got a Bloody Mary, and it was perfectly made with some great toppings (including their addicting maple bacon). My experience this time from my previous experience was a complete change. Our server was super nice and attentive. So happy we came back here! We will be back again. read more

If I could rate this lower, I would. These are boneless Buffalo wings?? I've never seen anything like it. The sweet potato fries were rotten. Two different dashers waited at the restaurant for the food, which finally came 40 mins late. Really, really, really bad food. The only thing edible was the Caesar salad, which was so basic. read more

My wife and I stopped in mid week. We had not planned to eat here as our main choice was closed. The bar/restaurant is on the small side. I immediately noted that they had a fire going. There was a table by the fire but it was occupied. This would be the ideal place to sit on a January afternoon. So be the ideal table was not available we took a high top close by. The atmosphere was nice. Plenty of tvs to choose from. We did not order any drinks as we had some errands to finish. We first ordered the poutine. First we love poutine and we planning to order it. We asked our server what we should get and the poutine was her first answer. She also offered that she was from French Canada and they poutine was not like her grandma made but it was close. The gravy was nice I could not tell if it's homemade or from a jar. The fries were crispy on the outside. There's enough cheese curds that with the heat of the fries the cheese melted. I used the napkin multiple times. Using a napkin multiple times is a good sign. We both got chicken sandwiches. Mine was served on a hamburger bun, but my most favorite bread. Actually it's probably my least favorite. The sandwich was flavorful but the chicken was a little over cooked and tough. I had Cole slaw on the side. There was something different about the Cole slaw. It was creamy but not crisp and was missing a little bite, possibly more vinegar. The best part of the meal was our server. It's always nice to interact with the server. She was very friendly, offered suggestions and checked on us regularly. read more

If you're a local, you don't know any better, if you're passing through. Don't even bother Shit food, shit service, not worth the money. They charge 4 dollars for a fountain water for Christ sakes. I've had un-cooked food and I've had flys in my beer. Zero stars. Enjoy. read more

We stopped in for dinner around 5pm on a Wednesday night & were able to be seated right away. It's a smaller restaurant and I wouldn't try having more than a party of 4 without reservations. Given how small it is inside, my family & I were surprised with the lengthy times between placing orders and receiving items. We placed our drink order, those took about 10 mins to come out. Placed our apps, than placed and received a second order of drinks before the apps came out. Placed the entree orders, waited a more fair amount of time for those, then waited a significant amount of time for boxes and for our check. Service is not quick here, that's for sure. Regarding the food, portions are large! For apps we split the garlic bread & the bacon wrapped scallops. The garlic bread was a hit with everyone. The scallops had a sauce on them that had some spice to it; my mom wasn't a fan but my dad didn't mind it. For entrees my dad had the chicken cordon bleu which he said was under seasoned. My mom had the fish and chips; she said they were alright but not sure she would stop here for them when she's in the mood for fish & chips again. I got the mushroom & asparagus risotto without chicken; it was quite filling & well made, but needed some salt & pepper. The drink selection seemed a bit limited. They had one cider on tap and did not have a white Zinfandel wine option at all. Signature cocktails didn't really stand out; my mom tried the Pineapple Express but she said the lime juice gave it a tartness that was a bit overpowering. My dad enjoyed his 7&7s; they were just $6 so not badly priced. All in our total came to $125 before tip for 3 people (2 apps, 3 entrees, 6 drinks) so prices seemed very fair for the most part. Street parking is plentiful around the restaurant, plus Front St is quite pedestrian-friendly so accessing this place isn't hard. read more

Service employee was extremely rude. Definitely needs to find a new field of work. Ordered the eggs Benedict and the sauce was spoiled. And when I say spoiled I mean it tasted like the sauce was long expired. Told the waitress and her response was that everyone else ate it. Well if you don't mind a little food poisoning then go for it. No apology and I really didn't want to try anything else there ever again. Stay away!!!! read more

Having ordered from this place when I first moved into my apartment and hadn't unpacked , I figured I'd actually GO there. The food was every bit as delicious as I recalled. It's a friendly spot full of good cheer and scrumptious food.... Plus beer read more

The hostess didn't even say hello, smiled and waved us along with her... now My first question, is why are the serving brunch until 3 o'clock? I found that very odd but we decided to stay. Mind you it's 2pm, and we're eating French toast, pancakes, bacon and eggs? Ok, so we order and there's a burger that comes with an egg, the closest thing to lunch food on the menu. So then we order drinks and the girl was nice, but when he asked her a question about the beer, she said she has no idea and doesn't even like beer. Huh? Ok so we order drinks, and our food comes. Everything was pretty good, though the corned beef hash was not good. I'm not sure if it was old or just bad. Then we waited for a long time and never saw our waitress again. We ended up asking the bus person for our check. It's a cute place in a great location. read more

Got lucky this week, and got in.Henrys is always packed, that should be enough for a review!. Finally, our second visit, first was neighbors treating us, that don't buy drinks. I was so bummed when I saw all the current draft choices. But, this week, it was my wife and me... game on. Blue Moon & Goose Island drafts were great! Their menu is not multi pages, what they display is all you need, so many choices, its hard to choose for lunch or dinner. Since we were here for lunch, we each had French Onion Soup and shared a Buffalo Chicken flatbread. The soup was very flavorful, gooey with cheese, and just the right amount of onions. The flat bread was perfect. I so wanted the poutine fries for an app, but no way I could eat them. The menu has what you want to try. Everyone in there looked like they were enjoying a huge lunch. The service, top notch, ask for Kristie, a Ballston Spa native, very very friendly and sociable. I really don't want to post this, cuz its going to take us longer to get back in, but, the Tavern is great!! You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!! read more

This is Henry's Tavern's kitchen. If you look in person you will see food, dead bugs and general filth in the windows. Some days they have the kitchen door to the outside open, I have seen employees smoking cigarettes in the kichen and more filth inside. For the reason I will not eat there. Its sad because it looks decent inside the dining area and its in a great location but I can't see how it passes a health inspection. read more

Verrrrrrrrryyyyy generic food and drinks. Sort of like a bad Chiles. Drinks were made with pre-mixed drink mix, bartender didn't have the proper fruit garnishes. The food was abysmal, with the salads, sandwiches and tacos looking and tasking like something out of a vending machine. Not sure why anyone would choose this place if you have anything else available. read more
