We had a lovely lunch for 5. Nice venue with full bar. The corn chowder was excellent. The poutine gravy was made with Guinness. Everyone's sandwiches were good! Service was A plus.

Can't say anything about their food because we left after being ignored for 15 minutes. Well, not totally ignored. A server looked at us with a face of not wanting to be bothered. She got her wish, if that was the intent. Little bit of advice: don't go into the service field if you can't be kind to hungry people... people on vacation who drove 3 hours up here, and spent the day at the track - as is our tradition with our 87 year old father, who needed to cross the road and step up the curb in his walker just to get to the table. We're not picky, or high-maintenance, or nasty people that like leaving bad reviews. We were just really tired and hungry and didn't need the crappy treatment we got here. Additionally, I was told this was the only table available. Yet, a party of 3 also sitting outside, requested an inside seat and were given the 5-top inside.

Service was great, top notch attention and care went into our experience by our server, couldn't have been happier in that regard. Good beer selection, great drinks on the menu as well. Well varied menu. Food was good and the plates were piled high. There was live music and it wasn't too loud even with a crowded dining room. Came with family and friends and was overall a good experience.

I'm not sure why Henry's Tavern has a 3-star rating because we had a 5-star meal and experience. Looking for a place for lunch, we decided on Henry's based on location and, yes, its reviews. We sat at the bar and were quickly greeted by an awesome bartender. She helped us with selecting the perfect beers and provided some great suggestions on lunch dishes. The restaurant is clean and comfortable. Not too loud and they offer a nice selection of food items and drinks. Looking foward to going again in the future!

If I could rate this lower, I would. These are boneless Buffalo wings?? I've never seen anything like it. The sweet potato fries were rotten. Two different dashers waited at the restaurant for the food, which finally came 40 mins late. Really, really, really bad food. The only thing edible was the Caesar salad, which was so basic.

My wife and I stopped in mid week. We had not planned to eat here as our main choice was closed. The bar/restaurant is on the small side. I immediately noted that they had a fire going. There was a table by the fire but it was occupied. This would be the ideal place to sit on a January afternoon. So be the ideal table was not available we took a high top close by. The atmosphere was nice. Plenty of tvs to choose from. We did not order any drinks as we had some errands to finish. We first ordered the poutine. First we love poutine and we planning to order it. We asked our server what we should get and the poutine was her first answer. She also offered that she was from French Canada and they poutine was not like her grandma made but it was close. The gravy was nice I could not tell if it's homemade or from a jar. The fries were crispy on the outside. There's enough cheese curds that with the heat of the fries the cheese melted. I used the napkin multiple times. Using a napkin multiple times is a good sign. We both got chicken sandwiches. Mine was served on a hamburger bun, but my most favorite bread. Actually it's probably my least favorite. The sandwich was flavorful but the chicken was a little over cooked and tough. I had Cole slaw on the side. There was something different about the Cole slaw. It was creamy but not crisp and was missing a little bite, possibly more vinegar. The best part of the meal was our server. It's always nice to interact with the server. She was very friendly, offered suggestions and checked on us regularly.

This was an amazing experience. Every touch point was a pure joy, from the moment I entered and was promptly and politely seated, to the last few minutes as I chatted with one of the owners, Chris. Every single interaction we experienced gave us the comfort of being amongst friends who were happy to see us, and more importantly happy to be here. From our fully engaging server to the wonderful highschool sophomore who never let our water glasses get below half full, each and every person made our experience just that: an experience of excellence and perfect attention to detail. Our meals were just as delicious as the people. The Grilled Double-Cut Pork Chop was an absolute triumph--impeccably juicy, beautifully charred, and perfectly balanced by earthy morels, rich creamed ramps, and the bright, sweet pop of local cherries. The reimagined "Ratatouille" was a stunning work of art, featuring a beautifully seared zucchini steak, smoky eggplant crème, and a crisp, fresh nest of squash topped with plump, perfectly grilled shrimp. For the perfect conclusion, the Espresso Crème Brûlée delivered a silky, robust coffee custard beneath a shatteringly crisp caramelized crust, brilliantly elevated by the crunch of cacao nibs. What truly elevated the evening, however, was how flawlessly they handled my strict wheat- and grain-free dietary needs. Navigating menus with these restrictions can often feel stressful, but our server and the chef made every possible effort to accommodate me. They proactively verified every sauce and reduction to ensure they were safe, and the kitchen effortlessly modified the dessert by putting the biscotti on the side. To enjoy a multi-course, world-class meal with that level of meticulous care and total peace of mind is incredibly rare. They didn't just accommodate a restriction; they crafted a masterpiece around it. We certainly won't be waiting another 8 years to return.

It was the perfect setting for a memorable holiday dinner. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with friendly, attentive service from our server, Jamie. The ambiance was warm, inviting, and rich with history, making us feel like we had stepped back in time. We started with an Old Fashioned made with Smugglers' Notch bourbon for me and a refreshing Blueberry Refresher for my wife. The homemade cranberry fritters served with Vermont maple butter were an outstanding way to begin the meal. Next came bowls of the delicious Cheddar & Ale Onion Soup, followed by the Maple Butter & Walnut Encrusted Brie served with Vermont apples and toasted baguette--an excellent combination of sweet, savory, and crunchy flavors. Our entrees were preceded by fresh field greens salads with balsamic vinaigrette and blue cheese crumbles, along with warm, freshly baked bread. I thoroughly enjoyed the Traditional Pot Roast--tender brisket slow-cooked in the tavern's Circa 1790 Amber Ale with rich pan gravy. My wife chose the Scrod with pumpkin seeds, butter, Chardonnay, and lemon, which was perfectly prepared and beautifully balanced. To finish, we shared the Cranberry & Apple Crisp topped with local vanilla ice cream and whipped cream--a fittingly New England ending to an exceptional meal. The combination of outstanding food, welcoming hospitality, and the unique historic atmosphere made for a wonderful dining experience. If you're visiting Manchester, Ye Olde Tavern is well worth a visit, especially if you're looking to enjoy classic Vermont cuisine in one of the state's most historic settings.
