So we got her plate of food yesterday and it was awesome. It should last for a few days the salad was fresh and a lovely tomatoes olives little cherry peppers cucumber and onions. At a lovely white balsamic vinegar there is a five slices of garlic butter bread. And the chicken was beautiful too big pieces I think it's too she got one third I got one quarter and the rest is going to get her through the rest of the week with everything else in her apartment. It had arugula on it fresh cut tomatoes some onion slices and parmesan cheese on top. The breading was perfect they put a lemon cut in half on either corners of the tray. Everything's packaged so well. The order online is so easy. I think at the end of the week they have less desserts but they still have desserts. They're strawberry cake is awesome I got that months ago with the shrimp scampi risotto which was awesome. The menu doesn't say it comes with a salad but the family meals come with a salad. If it does say it comes with the salad I can't find it. Everything is so easy and so good. They're right on rolling Street and look what looks like used to be a small ranch house but they have it designed really lovely. I wish they were closer to where I am off exit 15. We were in a hurry no pictures were taken but our stomachs were mightily satisfied. Our taste buds quite enjoyed all the flavors. They are strictly a business you go to because you are ordering food to take home which I like. I like to take my food and bring it home to sit on the couch and watch some tv.

So, you might want to check them out on Facebook before attempting to seek them out off Exit 8 of the Northway. Are they worth seeking out or stopping by if you are in the neighborhood? First of all, their menu is limited, sandwiches (chicken, burger, hot dog, sausage, egg), tenders, fries, rings, mozzarella sticks, hash browns, poppers and drinks. Maybe it'll expand in the future. My first experience was trying the Sausage, Pepper & Onion sandwich ($9) and Onion Rings ($4). Keeping in mind that I've generally made at least one annual excursion to a competitor about 2,000 feet East on this road to satisfy my sausage sandwich and onion ring craving for the last 25 years, I was curious if anything here would come close to satisfying. While we waited for our order, we spoke with the wife of the husband-and-wife team owning the food truck. Very personable people. Our food was obviously made-to-order since we waited at least 10 minutes for the carryout container to be handed to us. Opening the container at home was the first surprise. Expecting to see a sausage patty on a hamburger bun, instead we saw a long link of sausage on a section of a sub-style roll - think county-fair sausage peppers and onions. This sausage was delicious. It had good texture, flavor, and spiciness. Peppers were a combination of chopped red, yellow, and green, and the onions did not overpower. The roll was fresh and soft. This may be my new preference. The onion rings were a surprise also. The coating was thick, very crunchy, and did not fall off the onion. The other standout was that there was no oily mess. Even as they later cooled, they did not have that lingering taste of oil. There is no question that I'll be back to try something else. Parking is available behind the food truck. Pull in the driveway alongside the food truck.

Luckily for the folks opening Classic Crust at the prior location of the old Jonesville Store…read moreduring the "pause" for the coronavirus pandemic, they have their mobile pizza oven to park in the lot of their future bricks and mortar location. And while renovations are proceeding inside the building, we the customers still have the ability to enjoy some very good woodfired pizza. From their menu of over a dozen specialty 12 inch pizzas we decided to try a Sausage, Peppers & Onions ($13) and a Fuji Apple & Brie with honey butter thyme drizzle ($16). We figured the SP&O would allow a fair comparison to more typical pizzas while the FA&B would show their ability to improvise. The dough is good quality, tasty and has a nice chew. I might consider requesting future pizzas to be left in the oven just a little longer to get more char and blistering, but that's a very minor point. The sausage has a nice flavor and the peppers and onions are grilled/sautéed for a nice effect. The only downside for me on this pizza was that the peppers had an off flavor of being cooked over gas. The honey butter thyme drizzle obviously adds an additional sweetness to the thin sliced Fujis and it might be considered by some to be a dessert pizza. But the balance of sweetness is just right in my opinion and the drizzle creates a nice glaze as the pizza cools. I'm truly looking forward to when the "pause" will end and Classic Crust will be able to allow customers inside their non-mobile location.

The craziness of…read morethe new rage, from an oldie but goodie, and the committment from the owner to make his/her greateness available at reasonable price and in cool digs. Now, I wouldn't call the New York State Capital lawn cool digs, but seeing as it just a few blocks away and plenty of green grass, park benches, picnic tables, and other seating, how can one resist coming out here for a stroll and a great bite to eat? Not to mention, it is the only place in Albany where you can find 4-5 food trucks to choose from, which makes me feel sad, as that number is low compared to other progressive cities like, San Diego, San Francisco, Austin, Dallas, New York. It also upsets some people that the capitol gets special treatment for placement of food trucks, but let's save that for another day. Michele's looked good. I was simply craving a burger and fries. However, I've learned from my food trucking, that fries can be somewhat of a challenge. Either soggy, dried, or just not right. I hate suffering through that, so instead, I ordered the tots they have. Being a chemist by nature, I don't know what it is with tots, but you can hardly mess them up. They always come out crispy on outside and nice and hot inside. Michele's did not disappoint. I ordered my 0.3lb burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and onion. The film broke loose and this movie came to a screeching halt when I heard, "We are out of onions." "Ahhhhgg," I thought, as in my opinion a burger just isn't a burger without onions. Before I could complete my sigh of disbelief, the server said, "We can put some fried onions on it, if you want. Will take a little longer." I was ecstatic. Not because I got my onions, albeit in a different form, but the food truck guy did not have to offer this, but he did. Why? I don't know, ask him, but I can guess it is because they have that food truck service mentality of "Let's take care of our special customers." It did take a little longer but was worth it. The cook handed me a freshly cooked cheeseburger with fried onions and tater tots. He even warned me that the tots were piping hot just out of the fryer. Really nice touch. I will definitely be back and try their other menu items which look really good including the clam, even though I am not a big clam fan.
