I often forget McAlister's is here, but my wife recently suggested it for lunch. I got the Reuben, and I have to say I think I liked it better than the other deli sandwich place nearby. There was a good amount of meat, but not too much. The bread was nice and soft--didn't stick to the roof of your mouth like when it's super soft. If it's not too windy out, there's a nice patio where you can eat. While it overlooks 31, it is set back so that you don't hear so much road noise. Nice staff was quick with order and very friendly.

    Nacho Basket

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love McAlister's. I will continue to go for different food items. But I hope someone from the Pelham location sees this and tells the staff to do better. I had to pour the cheese from the nacho basket into a different bowl to try and mix it and it looks like days old nacho cheese they decided to keep heating up. It's goopy and is not like the normal, thin yellow cheese they've served all the times I've gone before this. Please do better. I've always enjoyed this restaurant and location.

Pick 2: broccoli cheddar soup and Spicy Southwest Chicken Sandwich. Comes with a free pickle.

Pick 2: sandwich and soup. The flavor was good but the pricing has increased tremendously. I believe it was close to $17 for this meal. Yikes! Drink isn't shown.

I wanted a sandwhich for dinner so I decided on McAlister's. I was greeted by the two that were at the front. My order was taken very quickly. I decided on the Choose Two after seeing that I could choose a shareable and sandwhich. I haven't had the Mcalister's Club in probably two years because I have been stuck on the Smoky Pepper but I wanted something that had a variety of topping. My sandwhich was good but the Ultimate Nachos have become a favorite. The guacamole was the cherry on top. I am not a guacamole girl but this guacamole was delicious!!! If you haven't tried the Ultimate Nachos, please give them a try. This is my go to spot when it comes to a location near home. Always good service and food.

It's an okay place to eat, but it's never really ever going to be my go-to spot. The options all look good, but the taste is a bit bland.

Food is ok. The tables are too nasty for the employees to be relaxed. If the staff would keep it clean, it would be a decent place to eat.

We were greeted promptly and took a few minutes to look at the menu. I LOVE roast beef, so it peaked my interest. My wife chose the Smiley burger. We placed our order and grabbed a seat. Place was quiet even though it was probably 75% full for lunch. Roast beef was served hot in toasted sour dough. Cheddar, tomato, lettuce and horseradish topped the generous portion of roast beef. Bread was crisp and the beef was hot and juicy. Horseradish gave a nice tangy flavor. My wife's Smiley burger was hand patted. Juicy and perfectly cooked. Bun was soft inside and nicely toasted in the outside. Bread and butter pickles, onion, tomato and lettuce topped it off. But the star of the show were the fries cooked in beef tallow!! Hot and salty, crispy and a deep flavor. I would come back just for the fries. Although a little bit pricey for lunch, it was excellent! Staff were friendly and attentive! Would highly recommend and will definitely be back! Thanks for an awesome lunch and excellent experience!

I couldn't decide what I wanted, so I asked Taylor, the employee behind the counter, to make her personal favorite bowl and surprise me. I assured her I liked all the ingredients, so she happily took over. When she got to the meats, she even offered me a sample of the spicy chicken first to make sure I liked it. I definitely did. She also paired the bowl with three separate sauces she thought would go well with it. And let me tell you... that bowl was AMAZING. The kind of meal where you take one bite and immediately know you'll be thinking about it again later. Honestly, I may have to go back and ask for Taylor's favorite bowl every single time because it was incredible. I didn't stay long, but the restaurant appeared clean, open, and welcoming as well.

I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Pita with a side of the Cinnamon Sugar Pita Chips and a soda. The order was supposed to be for dine in but it was bagged up as to go. The pita tasted great but was extremely messy. Fortunately I still decided to eat at the restaurant because more napkins were required. I had every intention of saving the side of pita chips for later but decided to go ahead and try it. They were so good I couldn't help myself and ate them all. With the distance this location is from my office and none near the house, not sure when I will make the trek again. But if the opportunity presented itself would like to try again.

Service was tableside, quick, and friendly. We started out with the shrimp dumplings, lovely. My mom got an order of the pad thai and I had the chicken panang curry. Everything was delicious. Too many Thai restaurants? Nonsense!…read more Senlek has only been opened a few months and they are gaining new fan everyday including this Yelper. Located in the large strip mall shopping center in Hoover right off Montgomery Highway, Senlek sits right next to Dale's Southern Grill. There's plenty parking but no outdoor seating. The inside is rather interesting in that it looks like they occupy "half" a space because there's a "row" of tables that start at the front and extend in a line to the back where the restrooms are. The left side of the restaurant consists of their open kitchen and an interior room. My colleague and I were greeted immediately upon entering. There was no Thursday lunch crowd so we had our pick of tables. After we were seated our drink orders were taken. I tried their Thai coffee... potent but delicious! Smooth and nicely chilled Yom Yom Yom Yom. Fellow Yelper Paul C. told me that the owner previously worked at Saigon Noodle House for several years. This was enough of a recommendation for me because Saigon Noodle House is at the top of my short list. Their menu is a simple and just 2 pages. It is enormously helpful because it has a photo of pretty much all their offerings. Our server was also very knowledgeable in explaining the different dishes as well. I had heard so much about the papaya salad that I had to try it. It tasted so good and had a little kick. Yom Yom. Marc tried R2 Khao Moo Sam Chan with the crispy pork belly. I didn't get to try it but Marc didn't leave any left and I liked how they sent out his sticky rice inside a smaller container on his plate. It kept the rice intact and warm. I tried their popular F4 Khao Soi. Their menu describes it as a Northern thai favorite with rich curry broth, egg noodles, tender chicken and crispy noodles on top. I opted for white breast meat, but you can also get chicken legs. My chicken was tender and just melted in my mouth. The curry had a wonderful coconut flavor and had just the right amount of kick. The crispy noodles were just as good as the tender noodles underneath after you push them down and drown them in the curry. I loved everything about this bowl of noodles! Yom Yom Yom Yom. Our server was attentive and kept our water cups topped off. The atmosphere is casual and great for big groups although they may run out of tables if it's a busy busy evening. Welcome to Hoover, Senlek. I can't wait to return and try one of your rice dishes.
