It was my first visit, so, I was extremely excited!! I arrived at 7:55 p.m., prior to my arrival I noticed they closed at 9 p.m. Upon entering, I noticed the gentleman looking at his watch, so, I confirmed the 9 p.m. closing time. He appeared to be the manager. I greeted him when I entered the building. I ordered two sandwiches, however, the attitude of the staff was so dry and not inviting at all. It was an unpleasant experience, enough for me not to return to that location. I did not receive a "Thank you," although I said it upon exiting, because I truly felt it was rude and not welcoming after being a patron at the establishment. Quite unfortunate! I hope management can provide customer service strategies to staff to incorporate an environment welcoming for paying patrons. read more

This is always been such an underrated sub place, and I'm not sure why. It's delicious! I came here yesterday for lunch. The dining area is still closed off at the moment actually due to Covid, so I brought my sandwich home with me, and it was still just as fresh. I got a regular sized Club Supreme on wheat with a pink lemonade to drink. Their regular sized sub is cut into halves. I was starving so I was able to finish it with no problem, but you could definitely share the regular sized sub with someone if you want something lighter. The club supreme comes with turkey, roast beef, and bacon. It was so good! I got lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, pickles and banana peppers on top of mine. Banana peppers are such a game changer! You should definitely get them. The workers their yesterday were super friendly as well. I highly recommend this location! read more

I got a regular Philly Cheese Steak here yesterday for the first time in several years. At around $9 for just the sandwich, it's pricier than places like Subway or Firehouse, but it's the best cheese steak you can get from a chain restaurant. The sandwiches are 7" long (14" for the giant size), and they stuff them with as much beef and cheese as they can fit, so you get a decent value in the end. The staff were friendly and the food was made fast; I was in and out with my lunch in under 5 minutes. I will probably eat here again soon because of how quick it is. The dining area is closed off, so take-out and delivery are the only options. All the staff were wearing masks and gloves, and following proper COVID-19 precautions. They also have an app so you can order your food without having to touch the card-reader. The sandwiches are wrapped in a piece of paper then put into a small paper bag, so there's hardly any excess waste on this front. However, the chips are all sold in individual plastic bags, which leads to a lot of waste. read more

Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 5:55P. On duty at this time at this Overton Road Jersey Mike's were two remarkable staffers. When I entered the shop, one staff member was on the phone speaking to someone, and after a minute I realized he was talking to a customer who was driving and trying to find his way to the store. The staffer was incredibly patient with the caller, and the call went on for several minutes. The staffer stayed on the phone the entire time, giving the driver incredibly detailed turn by turn instructions, and finally the caller arrived: a senior citizen who'd come up from Shelby Co to get some Jersey Mike's for him and his wife. As soon as he entered the shop, the other staffer took over and started listening, really listening, to his questions and cheerily suggesting ways to accommodate his special requests. This team, on duty on an ordinary lazy Sunday late afternoon, so impressed me with how they served this gentleman that I wanted to reflect their kindness and goodness to their manager, the franchise owner, and hopefully the franchiser CEO. Oh, and by the way: my Jersey Mike's sandwich was really good. My Jersey Mike's experience on this day and at this time and place: Fantastic. read more

Sad to say this was my last visit to Jersey Mike's. This location is terrible. (The employee was nice, but it is soo poorly managed that I fear it is in the way to closing.) Gross/dirty conditions, out of product (a sandwich place that regularly runs out of bread!?!) and doesn't have working phone lines for call in orders (or for employees to use to call out.). This was he third time we've tried to order and they were out of bread (and meatballs this time). Also out of beverages... Really used to like it, now too afraid to eat anything from the location. Owner needs to see the light unless this place is just a tax write off now. read more

Awesome sandwich. I mean, really, especially for a chain. If Subway actually has the stones to call their counter help 'sandwich artists' then the Jersey Mikes guys are Raphael with a meat slicer. Meanwhile, if we're still clinging to that tired sandwich artist conceit, Subway is the equivalent of some guy tagging railway cars in a forgotten switching yard somewhere. Because the world is filled with mediocre artists, just daubing some paint on a canvas doesn't make me want to buy it. And don't even get me started on Jimmy John's. The only thing I don't care for? Swipe your credit card and you get prompted for a tip on the touch screen. You get to choose a 10%, 15%, or 20% tip. A little heavy-handed if you ask me. No, not even a little. As in protection racket kind of stuff here. As in, tip us, because we'd hate to see some kind of accident to happen with your next order. I don't know. Maybe they're just playing out the Jersey theme to its logical conclusion. Bada bing. Mind you, I'm a pretty generous tipper. But this isn't a table-serve restaurant. And the sandwiches, while worth it, are a bit pricey. So I'm kind of annoyed by the arm-twisting that comes from making me either choose between tipping my sandwich maker or feeling as if I'm some kind of miser for not doing so. I usually order hungry, so I usually wind up with more food than I can eat. Never have we been disappointed in flavor, freshness, or quantity. Give them a try. Jersey Mike's method for preparing subs, i.e cutting the meat to order, is clearly the surest way to deliver a great sandwich. JM also uses high quality meats, which adds great flavor. Unfortunately, my local JM has been under poor management for about a year and the quality has nose drived and made me look elsewhere, for the most part. I hope this location finds new leadership soon cause nothing beats a properly prepared No. 13 Orginial. read more

The customer service was terrible from only one person, the manager. She was so rude also had a very bad attitude and tone. She was talking to everyone with just a rude demeanor and acting like she ruled the world. She was kind of belittling one of her new employees as well. The subs are good, but it's the service for me. They get 1 star for failing multiple times at dressing the sub as requested through online ordering. Also for the service I received after trying to contact them to correct and got no answer, and addressing the issue with them in person during my next order and receiving horrible service. This location has great employees but not enough. They had one person working at lunch time today and they were doing the best to cover the line of people waiting. I witnessed at least two walking out before ordering. This location also has a problem with their food delivery being late on more then one location. I am happy to visit the Overton Rd. in Mountain Brook location. The staff is friendly, ready to serve, and always make my sandwich delicious. The staff keeps you coming back for more. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Just recently left this establishment. There was only a manager and a new guy working. We placed our order and the new guy, with his gloves on from the previous customer, preceded to take our cash and give us change with the gloves on. He then reaches into the bacon container and precedes to make our sandwiches. I ask if he could change his gloves out since he just gave us change with the same gloves on. He does so with no problem, but leaves the same dirty bacon on the counter. The manager is at the flat top cooking chicken for my boyfriend's sandwich. At this point, he shows the new guy how to finish making the number 26. The manager comes over, GRABS the same dirty bacon and THROWS it back into the bacon container. I unfortunately had a club, which included bacon and of course, he grabs the same bacon and puts it on my sandwich. At this point I'm in shock that he threw the dirty bacon back in the container and when he finished wrapping my sandwich up I'm sure I received the same dirty, money infested bacon from the top. I simply came home and threw the whole sandwich away. A waste of money!!! Needless to say, I WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS RESTAURANT. They should be reported to the health inspector. read more

I drove over 20 minutes to Jersey Mike's because I was craving their thick subs. My mistake. At 1:00 in the afternoon they were OUT of lettuce. Not only that, but their customer service was horrible and the workers were moving at snail speed. It took them 15 minutes to take two people's orders in front of me before asking "what I needed."
