Online order, completely WRONG, wasn't started until I arrived 3 minutes after designed time, prepared completely WRONG. Staff didn't care, and store was FULL of flies. NEVER AGAIN Went back 27 minutes before closing, door locked Worker said "what's wrong with your order I replied it was wrong and I want a refund He replied in threatening tone need to "watch your tone, we ain't given you no refund" This is amazing how hateful and rude their personnel is. I placed a mobile order at 1:24 and did not receive my food until 1:54. I sat inside for about 15 minutes waiting in the to go area, assuming my order would be brought out or placed where mobile orders usually go. Nothing ever showed up. I finally went to the counter, and the employee looked at me without saying anything. When I told her I had a mobile order under my name, she turned to another employee and asked them to check on it, again without acknowledging me directly. The second employee then pulled out my order, which had apparently been ready but was never placed in the designated mobile pickup area. There was no communication at all, and I had no way of knowing my food had been sitting there. By the time I got it, my sandwich was soggy. I travel for work and eat at Firehouse Subs often when I am on the road, and I have never had an experience like this before. It was honestly disappointing. What is the point of mobile ordering if it is not being used correctly? This completely defeated the convenience it is supposed to provide. read more

Awful, awful service. Placed a mobile order and they kept filling in person orders and letting online orders back up. Order was ready 20 mins after it was supposed to be. Contacted customer service and only got a generic back and then got an email for feedback on how they handled my issue. Double fail. Won't be coming here again soon. I saw the commercial for the BBQ Cuban and was sold! So glad I tried it because it's really tasty!!! I didn't know what to expect as I can't recall ever eating here before. If you have read my reviews, you already know that I'm not a sandwich connoisseur like that. The staff were all friendly as well as helpful during my visit. There was a little bit of a wait for my food. I was pleased with my sandwich and the portion size. I don't know how I feel about spending $10 for a medium sub.... This restaurant is casual dining. Lots of red , inspired by firehouses. There is a large , custom mural on the wall. It's pretty cool that this restaurant was founded by two former firefighter brothers. read more

Their meatball subs are heaven! I always get chips too, and even though the subs are messy, they're delicious! The service is extraordinary everyone there is so sweet and kind. The overall vibe is so sweet and I can't get enough of their food. I'm sorry that I keep on saying their food but their food is amazing. I can't get enough my whole family loves it. I was hungry for a club sandwich so decided to come here. It's been a while since I've had a sub from Firehouse subs and I see why. There were a steady flow of customers at this location. I already knew what I wanted so ordering was easy. I did add green bell peppers, salt, pepper, oil, vinegar and cucumbers to my sandwich. When I got to the car I peeked in the box and the sandwich looked amazing....WRONG. I took one bite of the sandwich and it had no flavor.... I took another bite and still no flavor. I took the sandwich apart to make sure it had mayo and mustard and it did have mayo, but only a little bit of mustard. Even if my sandwich had neither the meat should have some kind of flavor to it. The bacon was the only thing that was good. The sandwich itself was horrible. This was the worst $10.22 I spent on a sandwich. read more

I would give a 0 if I could but it's not an option. We placed a call in order for work, only 3 sandwiches and nothing fancy but when we picked them up... we should have checked. 2 sandwiches were completely wrong and the 3rd had the right toppings, wrong meat. Thinking it was a one-off incident, we ordered again 2 weeks later. ‍ One sandwich didn't even come with bread! They took all the ingredients and just threw them in a bowl. One would think, okay well I'll have a salad... there was no dressing. What a great group of folks that operate this place! I came in for a bite eat before I had to hit the highway around 3:30ish. The place surprisingly had a good amount of people for a Saturday afternoon. I was greeted by a nice young man making sandwiches behind the counter as soon as I walked in. The store was clean and the chips were well stocked. My cashier was super friendly and wished me a happy Holiday as soon as I saw her. I ordered my usual Hook and Ladder which is smoked turkey breast, Virginia honey ham, and melted Monterrey Jack, served mayo, deli mustard, lettuce, onion, and a kosher dill pickle on the side. What I thought set this Firehouse apart from the others that I've been to in the metro Atlanta area was how fast my sandwich came out. No offense to the other store but they can take forever to make a sandwich. Not here! I was in and out in less than 6 minutes! Kudos to these guys. When ne facility there was no one at the register, and once my order was finally taken. I went to get my drink and the machine was completely out of any or all selection. When telling the cashier, she got smart and said "omg yall did you hear that the drink machine is out of most drinks." I walked away and they other workers turned to her and said what and she repeated herself again "omg yall we are out of almost all our drinks" and the walked away laughing. The staff is very unprofessional and mocking this is not the first time I have had a issues with the Trussville location. This location need all new staff and a better interview process along with better customer service training videos....... Food was room temp and lacking overall flavor we also got no pickle. Two employees were very friendly and you can tell one was still learning. I ordered a meal which she did not ask a size and when I realized it I asked if she could make it a large. I, myself, made a mistake and ordered the wrong sandwich, I told the lady if they have already started it was fine but if not could I please fix it. She went and asked two people and one very rudely stated that it was already started and I couldn't change it. Which I had stated twice already if it was too late no big deal. It was the fact, this lady came off highly rude for no reason. I have never had a bad experience at firehouse before and have always loved eating there. But today's customer service put a frown on my face due to the unpleasant attitude . I get I should have known my order beforehand but I stated it was no big deal if they started it. I didn't even realize they made my sandwich until the guy placed it in front of me and asked if I wanted anything else. Firehouse is one of my favorite places to grab a good, quick sub. My go-to is the Engineer - turkey, swiss, and mushrooms (add bacon). Subs are made quickly and they accommodate any requests without issue (normally). The only thing I don't like about this location is that it's really small, and getting out of their parking lot and back onto the main road can be a nightmare. read more

These sandwiches Leslie and Veneca took care of us and they were sooo helpful with my soy intolerance. The online menu is not accurate unfortunately, but they were so helpful at the counter. They steam the meat for their sandwiches. They don't steam the lettuce or the bread. My husband got the club on a sub - the meat and cheese melts in your mouth. The bread was fresh and soft. They weren't busy, but it took a very long time to make my sandwich, especially when there were four ladies working behind the counter. The tables were not clean and needed to be wiped down. The sandwich was sub par. I expected it to be better given the time it took to prepare. I ate it all, which means it couldn't have been too bad. It could've used a lot less mayonnaise. Wow service has really fallen since people like Jesse have arrived. You would think a sandwich shop would provide great service considering it's national sandwich day. Not today it seems. We ordered online and expected a relatively easy transaction. The lady threw the bag at my sister. When we called to speak to a supervisor she then pretended to be the supervisor. Our order was completely wrong, missing items, and just poor overall service. So then we proceeded to ask for the district managers number. I love Firehouse. I usually go to the one in Homewood but this was on the way running errands. The sandwich I got was good....just not the sandwich I ordered. Customer service was lacking and I felt like I was in the way for being there. My favorite place for a steak and cheese sub among sub shops. You can get it without onions unlike many other places. Plus a great selection of hot sauces to put on your sandwich. Limes go in sweet tea for me and not alcohol so this place is a gem for my kind of drink. The only think I am not crazy about is the lemon favored macadamia nut cookies. Didn't know that they were lemon flavored but my wife liked the chocolate chip cookies. The staff is very straight forward, doesn't smile, and efficient but I am fine with that because they did their job and made a great sub for me and the rest of our group. This is a great stop for a tastier sub than that other sub shop down the way! There are lots of good options to choose from but my go-to is a simple turkey sub all the way. A combo comes with sandwich, chips and any size drink. If you need a quick stop for a reasonably priced meal this is a really convenient location for the area, just off of i459. read more

Though the sandwiches are great, customer service sucks. We place several online orders because we have babies and it's easier for us as a family. My husband went to to pick up an order and stood at the sign that says 'online pick up orders'. The email that we got even said to stand at that sign. After standing there for at least 5 minutes-- and not being spoken to by any line cook or cashier, he asked if this is where he was going to get his order. The cashier very rudely said that they only had one register and to get in line. He mentioned the sign and the email and the cashier just laughed. He told her that if they weren't going to honor what the emails and signs say to take it down. So.. yeah. Eventually this kind of service will get old. read more

Stopped by for a quick sandwich while shopping in Trussville. I got a New York Steamer with chips and a drink. This sandwich is the best I've ever had at Firehouse. We noticed spilled soapy mop water on the floor between the register and drink machine as we filled our drinks. There was quite a bit without a Wet Floor sign around. Many workers walked by it and left it there until we were walking out after eating. We eat slow and that was there quite a while with many customers walking through the area. Probably looked like vomit to some people. They had 2 people on the floor filling napkins and chips. This was NOT a super busy time at all. No excuses. I ordered the Italian sub which I have many times. It was very dry. I ordered fully involved as always. The mayo was in a chunk on one corner. The sandwich was poorly put together. Overall a sad experience. Firehouse Subs was a favorite of mine until this happened. read more
