Miguel and MC Roofing did a great job roofing on my parents' house. We dealt with Miguel long distance. He was responsive and went above and beyond to help as we were 500 miles away. Our tenant was happy with how the crew worked with him and we were thrilled with their attention to detail and taking care of all that needed to be done. The price was reasonable, and work was done in a timely manner. I recommend them highly! read more

We were referred to MC roofing and Miguel through a neighbor. They are very honest, hard working, and skilled. Our very complicated roof (two different materials) was replaced in a week, including replacing existing plywood with radiant board, replacing all dry rot (there was a lot), replacing gutters/exhaust vent caps, and hauling off all the old junk. The roof was also extended slightly. The new roof looks awesome, and we are very happy. When onsite, Miguel (and Jose) would let us know of any high level decisions that we would need to make. Miguel went above and beyond and even inspected our roof after A/C was removed/replaced, and has opted to fix mistakes made by another company afterwords. He seems to care about the work he has done, and wants to ensure our house doesn't leak. I highly recommend MC roofing, they are excellent and have integrity. read more

Love these guys! They've done roof repair and gutter cleaning/repair for us. Always super responsive and nice. Great work! Competitively priced too. read more

Broke so many of my tiles! After 10 years of living at the house, I hired MC roofing to clean my roof valley, they also reported 10 tiles broken, so I had them replace that too. All problems they reported at the time was fixed. However less than a year later, a tile fall off the roof. So I had a roofer gave me a quote (cause he was working on my neighbor's roof at the time), he said 30-40 tiles are broken and needs to be replaced, a bunch more needs to be glued. I was in shock! So I had another roofer gave me the quote, he said 50-70 tiles needs to be replaced, more needs to be glued! And both said the most broken tiles are located near the valley area where M C roofing worked on a year prior! So I only had 10 broken tiles in 10 years of living. After 1 year after M C Roofing worked on my roof, it got 30-70 broken tiles!!!!! I was so mad! read more

I had my roof replaced about a year ago by MC Roofing to install solar, Miguel stopped by to give a quote on the same day and it was very fair compared to others in the area. His team was fast for removal and during installation they also spotted a few places that had termite damage which was quickly fixed. We also added some insulation on top which made a huge difference in the summer and winter. I am very satisfied with the quality of work and value that MC Roofing offers and would recommend them to anyone in the area. read more

MC Roofing was recommended to me. So I called them and spoke with Miguel. "the owner" I told him that my roof had 2 sets of comp shingles on it and a lot of dry rot on the rafters as well as the plywood under the eves and I want it all fixed as well as anything he finds wrong once he tears the old comp off. We set up a date and they got to work on the roof. The damage on the roof was pretty extensive but his crew was able to take care of everything in 4 days "start to finish" Miguel uses the heavy underlayment tarpaper as well as "the best on the market comp manufacturer "CertainTeed" I chose the landmark premium which is CertainTeed's middle product. Miguel has great guys working for him and all of them including Miguel have A++ customer service. Miguel was very quick to get back to me every time I called him. The work including new gutters came out fantastic and it passed inspection with out a hitch. I absolutely recommend MC Roofing to anyone who needs a new comp roof or repair's read more

We were referred to Miguel and MC Roofing by friends at ALL Roofing Materials, to address a roof leak we were having. Miguel and Jose came out and addressed the leak, but also walked us through a number of issues with the roof and really educated us on roofing, in general. The patch was temporary and as soon as the rainy season was over we had MC Roofing back out for a full reroof. I couldn't be happier with the decision. We've got peace of mind about the integrity of the roof, but the experience was great - not at all like the stereotypical contractor engagement. Miguel and Jose couldn't have done a better job keeping us informed: when they'd arrive; how long they be working for the day; progress; etc. They are also very focused on quality and craftsmanship... they would deliberately start early in the morning and then knock off early afternoon, to avoid damaging and scarring the roofing materials when it got too hot. Miguel was also a great advocate... we had to have our solar removed and reinstalled as part of this reroofing project so Miguel was in constant contact with the solar company and even came out during the panel reinstall to ensure that the reinstallation process did not damage the roof or negatively impact the integrity of the work. I can't speak highly enough of Miguel and his crew. If you are unfortunate enough to need a new roof, absolutely consider MC Roofing. read more

We just had a new roof installed by MC Roofing and couldn't be happier. The workers were professional and polite. They showed up every morning by 7:30 am. Had the entire roof torn off by noon the first day. Job was complete by end of the week. He refurbished my patio beams by removing old rotted beams and installing new beams and put a roof on it thus giving our home another place to relax. He also added a beautiful sun tunnel in my patio. The material was top notch. He kept us informed every step of the way. read more

Great job from Miguel and his team! Excellent communication, costumer service and very professional. The only downfall was that he was so booked out we had to wait 2 months to schedule our roof, but worth the wait. Very reasonably priced compared to some of the other quotes we got! I will be referring all my friends and family if they need a new roof! read more

Miguel and his team were very neat and hard working. Communication with Miguel was excellent! He was very patient and answered all Of my question. The roof is beautiful Thanks read more

We needed our roof replaced and a friend recommended MC Roofing. I called Miguel and he responded within 24 hours to set up a time for an estimate. He came out and did the measurements, I got his estimate and his was the most reasonably priced out of the few received. We discussed type of shingles and was very good at making sure I knew what I would get, he dropped off samples and provided other houses for reference. When it came time to do the work, his team removed the old roof and cleaned up the area. His roofing team (Miguel JR and Jose) inspected and found a few areas that rats can enter and they sealed those up with sheet metal (wow, what service!). Both Miguel jr and Jose were great informing me when they would show up in the morning and when they would finish the the day. After each day, they would do a sweep to clean up the driveway and anywhere there is foot traffic (for nails and such). So refreshing to find a respectable contractor who not only takes great pride in his work but is genuinely friendly to work with. Too bad he only does roofing otherwise, I'd hired him for all remodel work! read more

Quick Review: MC Roofing was quick and honest and friendly. I compared them to two other roofing companies and their pricing was competitive. However they charged slightly less to repair damaged wood which I new I had so I chose them. They warned me what would happen during the demo of my old roof and cleaned up a lot of the mess. They even went a little beyond by removing an old air solar panel and helped me fix some of the gutters next to (not part of) the house. The day they finished, it rained. No leaks! I'm glad I selected MC Roofing to re-roof my house. I would recommend them to others. read more

We just had our roof installed by Moy and his team. Moy is great -- professional, very responsive, and just a really nice guy. He explained to us the process and gave us photos to document the work done after the job was finished. His pricing was transparent and fair, and during the job there were a few extra repairs they encountered, but he reached out to us before moving ahead with work. It took a while for the city to approve our permits, but Moy kept us in the loop and called us as soon as the permits were ready. He was able to come the next day with his team at 8:15am. His team was friendly, professional and efficient. They took out the old roof and installed the new one so quickly, and did a great job at that (and did a great job cleaning up afterwards too). We even asked Moy to install a bathroom vent last minute and he was happy to oblige. We'll be recommending Moy to our friends and family! read more

I have worked with Miguel from MC Roofing over the past 17+ years that I have been a Realtor. He provides good quality work, and very reasonable pricing for my clients, buyers and sellers alike. He takes pride in his work (third generation roofer) Would recommend him to anyone seeking a good roofer without hesitation. Judy Stringari Realty World Golden Hills read more

Miguel comes from a family of roofers and he knows his stuff. When giving the estimate, he noticed defects in my old roof that other contractors weren't sharp enough to detect. Miguel was recommended to me by a building inspector -- which is high praise. He was very cooperative, offered to do more than other companies did, and, what was icing on the cake, his bid was the lowest. Having been stung in the past by sloppy, substandard work by roofers, I was very cautious this time. I'm happy with the way things worked out with M C Roofing. I highly recommend this company. read more

As a Realtor that has been in business for over 14 years when I run across a company that performs an excellent job or takes extra pride in their trade I feel very compelled to share with others looking for good trades people. Miguel from MC Roofing is a 3rd generation Roofer. Over the years Miguel has worked on small and large roof jobs for my clients. His prices are extremely reasonable, but what I am really impressed with is his attention to detail and his genuine skill and love of his trade. He takes great pride in his work and makes absolutely sure you are happy with the job. You will not question whether or not you picked the right roofer when you give Miguel a call. It is wonderful to have a dependable and skilled roofer to work with. read more

He said I'll be there at 8 am tomorrow!! He was ! Miguel did a temp repair as it was raining cats and dogs. A powerful storm was due in two days so he did the permanent repair a day later !!!! MC roofing did a great job for us. We have a custom home in Palo Alto, and my painter recommended MC. Miguel was very easy to talk with, and he explained the differences among all the different roofing products. He showed us ways to save money, but still provide the quality that we wanted. The job was done quickly, and was left very clean. Whenever I had a concern or issue, he was quick to respond. I highly recommend MC. read more

I just had my roof replaced by MC Roofing and the owner Miguel was very informative on where my roof was leaking and the process of replacing the roof. Of the three roofers I talked to Miquel was the only one who climbed up on the roof, and opened up a couple of sections to figure out the real problem. All the others wanted to re-roof. Result was lots of landfill and money saved. Hire this guy. read more

This is the only re-roofing we ever did, so I cannot compare with others. I feel I got a fair price, the right attitude, the right material and a job well done. I also checked other jobs he had done before and they all looked okay. Would definitely use this company again. read more

I'm a repair and remodel contractor in Santa Cruz County and I hire subcontractors for different jobs on a fairly regular basis. After ten+ years of searching for the "right stuff" in a roofer, I am happy to say that I have found the roofing company that I will use from now on (and we do alot of roof work here!). MC Roofing is simply the best in their trade! Miguel and his crew are on time, on budget and very professional. Their work (which he guarantees) is of the best quality in the industry, he is up-to-date on all the codes and regulations, his workers are professional and well trained, and their attitudes are top notched. They give you the impression that they want to do the work for you and do it right. I just can't say enough about them. Even my homeowners love'em! And sure, roofing is a messy, dirty, dangerous job. But, when the job was complete, they left the job site so clean you couldn't tell if they had been there or not! When inspected, the inspector even commented to me on how they had done such a nice job, it made her job easy! Good company, good people that do what they say they are going to do at very reasonabe prices. I recommend MC Roofing to anyone in need of roof work. read more

You won't be sorry you picked M C Roofing to replace or repair your roof. Miguel and his (mostly) family crew replaced our shake roof with Presidential TL composite shingles this past week over four and a half days - on time and on budget with no surprises. I was super impressed with Miguel's extensive roofing background, knowledge and expertise. He fully explained the pros and cons of various roofing options and the reasons he used certain materials in his work. The crew was personable, professional and accommodating in addition to showing up and leaving on time, with careful cleanup every day. The M C Roofing bid price was thousands of dollars less than competing highly-rated roofing companies, the crew members are all bonded, and the inspections sailed through without a hitch. We're super pleased with the final product. I recommend M C Roofing without reservation. Thanks again Miguel and family! read more
