I needed a roofing repair for a small leak, I called two companies, second company was Top Tier Roofing. Gilbert the foreman came the next day, very pleasant and responsive. Gilbert's estimate was 3 times the cost of the first estimate but Gilbert identified several areas of concern that the first roofers did not indicate. For example Gilbert indicated I needed a saddle around my chimney something that the original roofer never installed. Plus several other areas of concern. It took awhile to schedule everything by Gilbert kept me informed through out the process. The repair team was excellent and also kept me informed throughout the day. The repair person (Hob), took extensive pictures and showed me the before and after of each section repaired. I was in the market for a roof replacement for my home. I talked to a few local roofing companies, and decided on working with Top Tier. I talked with Gil, the General Manager and he was amazing to work with. He came to may house and explained the type of roof I had. The type of shingles I could purchase. The work that was going to be done and how long it would take. Gil made the entire process easy. One the day work was to be started, they showed up on time and got right to work. They completed the job like a well oiled machine. Organized and efficient. My daughter and I came home during the first day of the removal of the roof, and the workers were very nice and respectful. On the second day, Gil called to let me know of some wood rot and the stucco they had replaced. And offered to re-paint those areas that stucco was replaced. Luckily I had the paint that was needed. They did a very good job overall, and they actually fixed the leak in the first try. I held back my review because I wanted to make sure that it will not leak during a long down pour, but so far so good, so I'm very happy. Their pricing were very fair and everything was done professionally. Recently, I accidentally damaged a ridge cap shingle by leaving a heavy metal object during a heat wave. I contacted Top Tier Roofing about some apparent water damage on our kitchen ceiling. I got an immediate response from David Weber, the owner of the company. I wasn't sure that he would be willing to look at our issue since it was likely a small job. Calls to a couple of other companies went unanswered. A relatively smaller project, but we have a 1980's terracotta tile roof (brittle!) and if you don't know how to walk on it, every step will break tiles. My initial call to TTR and meeting Profirio for an initial (free) inspection assured me that they were experienced with these types. They absolutely we're. We had some rain water leakage in areas around a chimney and possibly sky lights. After a through inspection,they determined the roof was fine, but dirt, leaves and debris had built up causing rain to find ways inside that shouldn't happen. No new roof/tiles needed and only slight repair (calking) needed. But, the top of the very large river rock chimney had an old metal cap with plaster/grout that had cracked and seriously open to the elements. This needed a new sheet metal hood cover to protect from rain water. TTR/Profirio had a referral to to a company that he has had a long term working relationship,with who he quickly engaged and oversaw so that the reasonable quote/fabrication/installation went smoothly. This took time, communications and coordination. Not being roof/chimney specialists, we need to have calls/texts/visits to be certain of the work to be done and schedule. We just moved into a new house and noticed what looked like a wet spot in one of our closets. Out of caution, we reached out to Top Tier and they were able to have Porfirio come out to take a look. He was very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He said the roof looked good and suspected the wet spot was old and not from a current issue. Fixing a roof is a big job, and often people unknowingly realize too late what an inconvenience it is when it comes to privacy and debris. With David and his team, however, everything was smooth. Smoother than we expected. We were given a guideline (before the actual roof repair) on what to expect, including what they were responsible for in terms of cleanup, safety precautions, and noise. Surprisingly though, there was no music blasting; his team genuinely seemed happy to work together and worked hard from morning til evening (before 6pm). They even took extra care, since we had chickens in the backyard, to sweep up any debris that might've flown there, including using a magnet to pick up any stray nails. Besides their courteous and respectful manners, they were very pleasant to work with. Any questions or issues that came up during the process, were welcomed with a clear explanation and a recommended course of action that took into consideration our budget while keeping work to a minimum. On top of that, their solutions leaned towards a longer term fix - do it right the first time - which if you think about it, actually saves you extra cost from having to pay for yet another roof leak. All in all, we're very pleased with what David and his team have done for our roof. But, he spent a substantial amount of time giving me advice on the local building department and the permit process.
