Jonathan and his team are fantastic to work with. From consultation to plans and execution, it's been great. You can tell that they are all knowledgeable and are a no BS group. They will not sell you a 30k roof but tell you the truth as if you're family. It's a small family company but what stands out is that they have values and commitment. You don't see that very much in companies now a days. They helped us with a roof repair and will refer them to friends, colleagues or neighbors if they need roofing advice or work. Thank you Kent Roofing! read more

Kent Roofing Roofing completed work on my roof. From the get-go, Jonathan and his team were great to work with. Jonathan was easy to communicate with and very responsive, not to mention super knowledgeable. The price was reasonable and competitive. The products they use are high-quality. When the crew came out to do the work, They were on time every day, never left a mess, and completed the work in the time promised. Overall it was a very positive experience. I would definitely recommend Kent roofing company. read more

The tenants woke up with water in the bathroom, dripping to the ceiling downstairs. being far away, it was hard to assess what's going on. I talked to Jonathan over the phone. He came to the house the very next day. Took him all but 3 minutes to say, nope, not a roofing problem. call a plumber. Didn't charge me a dime for his time. He knows his business. Appreciate his prompt response, especially around the holidays when most people are closed. THANK YOU read more

Jonathan and his team came by the other day to remove some skylights from my roof. Before the job, he came by for an estimate and educated me about my roof and how they were going to approach the task. They were extremely professional and informative. After the work was done, it looks like we never had a skylight in the first place. The roof tiles matched, they made sure the original material was used and the job site was spotless. I can't recommend them enough and will definitely keep them in mind if I ever need anything in the future. read more

I had a small issue on a roof Kent roofing installed 5 years ago. Johnathan the owner came out inspected it,stood behind his work and fixed it in a timely manner. I highly recommend Johnathan and his crew. read more

Jonathan and helped repair my leaky roof around a skylight. They were not the first team I called. I had two other yelp highly rated companies repair it first. After subsequent heavy rains, the leaks continued. Those companies would not honor their work. Jonathan and team came out and fixed my roof right and honored their work. They were very honest and helpful about explaining what was going on with my roof, their strategy for repairing and shared their insights about what to be aware of. They were the ONLY roofing company that was willing to stand by their repairs and they take their reputation very seriously. I highly recommend them and will be using them for all future roofing needs. Their prices are also very reasonable, even for smaller jobs. read more

Kent roofing sorted my roofing problems with a whole new roof in PVC. Quality job done right and the owner is a really knowledgeable person. Great job all round and definitely the folks you want to call if you have solar to make sure it does not leak afterwards they are experts in that area. read more

I highly recommend this team, quoting was very fast and communication throughout the job was very good and quick! Quote is clear and straightforward, additional work / scope was estimated accurately and change order approval was fast. Their prices maybe a bit higher than others, but I found it fair when comparing contractors who had lower bids, but overall quality and experience is top notch. read more

We just had our gutters replaced by Kent Roofing Company and we are very happy with the results as well as the whole process of working with this company. During the initial inspection Jonathan explained very clearly what kind of material they are going to use and the scope of work. The price was fair and itemized. As they were doing the installation, they discovered some issues with the existing roof and fixed it with no extra cost. It was very easy to communicate with the team before and during the installation. I would highly recommend this company to anyone who needs their roofing to be fixed. read more

Very disappointing. This is for a SINGLE skylight, mind you. Met with Jonathan on September 24, 2025 for him to take a look at my house and get a quote. Followed up on September 29, October 8, 10, 16, 28 and November 6. Finally, on November 8 they responded asking if I wanted it fixed or operable, something I had discussed with Jonathan when he looked at it two months before. That same day (November 8) I signed the work order. On December 8, they scheduled my installation for December 12 between 8-9 a.m. They never showed up and emailed me later that day saying the skylight hasn't come in. I heard a few more excuses about personal issues coming up from December 12-23. On December 30, they advised me that a crew would be there that day. They never showed up and I have not received responses to my three texts since then. I'm not sure if this place shut down, or what went on. Fortunately, I didn't make any payments yet. You might ask why, after all this, I still subjected myself to the non-responsiveness - there aren't that many companies that replace skylights so they have that going for them at least. read more

We had a small roof leak that would leak whenever it rained heavy. I reached out different roofing companies and was disappointed to hear really high quote's that involved replacing the whole section of the roof. My roof is in good condition and I kind of had an idea that those quotes are just ripping me off. I reached out to Kent roofing and was able to get an appointment quickly. Jonathan Kent stopped by to inspect the leak. He was very thorough and he explained all the things to me layman's language (did not confuse me with any of the roofing material/type language). He even went up on the attic to ascertain where the leak was and confirmed that there is no need to replace any section of the roof. Only a good sealant is needed as around the pipe to stop the leak. All of this took less than an hour. We agreed on the price which did not cost me a arm and a leg (he also gave me a discount) and came over to do the work the very next day. I really appreciated him being so responsive and repairing the leak the very next day as it rained like crazy a day after. I do not have a leaking roof anymore. Thank you Jonathan! Will definitely be reaching out in future for any roof work. read more

Not every contractor deserves a five star rating, but Kent roofing surely does. And they deserve your consideration for your roofing needs. My experience with Kent started about 2.5 years ago after our home was fumigated. We were advised to have our roof inspected for broken tiles and leaks, which led me to reach out to Kent. Karla is a total sweetheart and very easy to talk to. Jonathan is the consummate professional when he comes to inspect your roof. Francisco does excellent work on top of your house. Overall, I am very pleased with this company. We had a slight miscommunication along the way, but their entire team made sure that our roof was in good hands. We ended up with a few broken tiles and a leak in the corner of our house. It required a few trips to remedy the issue, but Kent proceeded admirably and professionally. When it comes time to replace our roof, I will be giving Kent another call. read more

Mario and Francisco from Kent Roofing just completed two days of work on our house. They definitely demonstrated a high work standard. Our roof has tiles that break easily and are no longer manufactured. These roofers knew how to walk on the roof so very few tiles broke, and, more importantly, they were able to bring a unbroken tiles to the job, to replace those that broke. When they peeled off the outer tiles it was clear that more work, and expense, would be required to really do a thorough job. This probably happens in any roofing repair. Kent uses an adhesive rubber film instead of tar paper. It's more expensive but it lasts longer and seals better. When Jonathan gave us our quote he said that Kent Roofing is not the cheapest alternative, but they do quality work. read more

Jonathan & team were prompt, professional, and friendly from start to finish. I was skeptical when making the appointment online for an in person quote, especially since other companies have failed to show up previously. But Jonathan showed up early! He was thorough in explaining the damage to my roof and what the quote would be, their assistant sent the quote immediately after he left. The crew came in a few days after I signed the contract and did the job in less than 2 days, leaving the place very clean. Jonathan explained the details of what they had done, and showed me photos and videos of what they put in the roof. I highly recommend Kent Roofing Company! read more

Jonathan took the time to go over all the options to repair my roof and even explained how to DIY a fix myself instead of hiring him, if I wanted to save some money. He was very knowledgeable had detailed answers regarding any question I could come up with. Beyond that, he didn't even charge me for the inspection! read more

***Update Jonathan called me and personally apologized for the mixup - due to a typo my address was incorrectly entered into their system and the person who was going to inspect my roof went to the wrong house. Jonathan was sincere and offered to come do the inspection himself to rectify the situation. I really appreciated that and look forward to hearing from them. I'd scheduled an appointment several weeks in advance for someone to come and look at my roof and provide a quote. On the day of the appointment I called the office to try and confirm the meeting location and time. No answer - ended up waiting for half an hour after leaving work early to meet this person. Not sure if there was a mixup but was hoping for better communication from a five star rated family company. read more

I searched high and low for a roofing company! Thank goodness my friend recommended Kent roofing to me. I questioned one of the item on the contact and Jonathan personally came to look at my roof. I signed the contact in April and he could only scheduled me for September. They started work on Labor day and the roof was completed in 3-4 days. My flat roof was tar and grave and with the new material my home is more sound proof and cooler! His quote was the best and all his employees are very nice and easy to work with. He has the best warranty! It is always very difficult for me to find contractors, but Kent roofing is the best and you won't be taken advantage of. There might be a long wait, but it is worth it! read more

They did a great job, did the job in 3.5 days. More importantly they had a solar company they worked with that removed and they reinstalled our solar panels for under 25% of what we were quoted by the installer recommended by another roofing contractor. read more

Nov 2021 I have called, left voicemails, text, emailed as I need Kent Roofing for another project. Despite all of my attempts over the last few months, I have yet to hear from anyone. My wife and I had an emergency situation at our new house and called Kent roofing for immediate help. Jonathan was over early the next morning (Sunday) to consult and game plan as heavy rain was coming. I cannot express his passion for helping his customers enough. We didn't even use him for the roof as we were contracted with someone else already but he made it a priority to help me make sure it was getting done right and at a fair price. We then hired him to do our gutters, facia and a bulletproof tarping on the side that needed extra attention by the other contractor. His team was out Monday and knocked out perfect work in impressive time for an incredible price. Communication, professionalism and workmanship was as good as it gets. His team led by Vann was by far the best of three contractors we had out that day and follow up was above and beyond ensuring our endeavor went seamlessly for the entire project beyond just his own scope. I also was not asked to pay a dime until the work was completed and even then no pressure or rush. read more

Receptionist lacks basic comprehension and communication skills. She does not listen and does not know how to communicate with customers. Not someone I would want to represent my business. After estimator came to inspect (and I had to keep following up with the receptionist as she was just totally incompetent in getting a correct estimate to me), problem was misdiagnosed to the tune of $1800. Another roofer came out and explained a $0 fix that just involved some minor labor on my end. read more

We had a roof leak underneath our solar panels. The solar company was going to charge us to take a look (and walk away) if they found it wasn't their fault. So we had Kent Roofing come out to take a look and give us their opinion. I had a long chat with Jonathan, who was very helpful and knowledgeable and gave us his suggestions for how to proceed. We called in the solar company and had someone from Kent Roofing come out at the same time to make sure everything went smoothly. After the panels were off and water tests were done Kent Roofing patched the leak right there and confirmed that the fix worked. It was great that they were able to work around the scheduling conflicts with the solar company and patched everything up smoothly and without any hassle. Thank you so much! read more

A great company to work with. I had a very difficult and complex situation, with a little bit of everything (replacing tar and gravel with membrane, clay tiles, gutter repair and stucco patching). Jonathan and his crew (including Karla in the office) were wonderful to work with through this awkward job, and it turned out perfectly, just as I wanted. I'm surprised by some who say Kent's prices are a little higher, because I thought my quote was fair and solidly in the middle of the range I'd gotten. Not to go on a rant, but I care about service and long term warranty, as much as initial price, because what kind of a bargain is it if you get a cheaper price up front, but the contractor won't stand behind their work later? Or even return your calls? Any little detail that needed follow up, like a bit of touch up paint or a broken tile, Kent was there to make it right. They don't avoid you for the little things, and the little things are what makes the difference between quality workmanship and those just making a quick buck, and moving on. I want a roofer to have a long-term relationship with :-) Best of all, Kent works extremely well with my chosen solar provider, Earth Electric, and the two companies coordinated all the work I needed done, perfectly. I highly recommend both of them, separately or together! read more

These guys just replaced my roof and did a beautiful job. Their pricing was a tad high, but still competitive and absolutely worth every penny. The roof looks great, the gutters and drain pipes are perfect, and they replaced some ugly plywood under an overhang that had been bugging me since we moved in. The job was completed quickly and even though it's messy work, the crew cleaned up every last speck of debris before they took off. Would absolutely recommend Kent Roofing. read more

Kent Roofing just finished making repairs to our roof, which is on the flat side. Jonathan gave us various choices for how to fix some damage and offered us a fair price. He and his crew showed up on time and completed the work within two days before it rained. When it did rain, we no longer had seeping from the roof onto our covered patio. Though the estimate didn't include some painting (on the damaged eaves), Jonathan very generously included the work at no cost. He and his crew did a great job! read more

I had neglected my roof for a long time, then I saw some water damage on my kitchen ceiling. Two guys from Kent Roofing came out, removed the tiles from the roof, put down a new membrane, and cleaned up afterwards. All of this was done in just one day, which I greatly appreciated. They took pictures to show me what work was completed. I would use Kent Roofing again for any work I needed. Highly recommended! read more

We contracted Kent roofing company to fix a leak in our roof that created a watermark in our ceiling. With this series of storms this year and last year, I noticed the watermark getting larger and just recently started to see water leaking through the drywall. I saw that Kent roofing had a good rating, so we thought we'd give them a try. Jonathan was very responsive and was easy to schedule the initial appointment to survey the damage. Both Dave and Jonathan came by to take a look and provided an estimate the next day. We didn't get a chance to check quotes from other companies, but the reviews seem to indicate their prices were reasonable. There was set of storms coming that was going to last over a week so we wanted to get the roof repaired before the storms arrived. Jonathan had a couple of miscues with his crews to start the job but he did apologize, and assured us that he would get the job done before the storms came which was at this point all that mattered to us. His crew (Manuel) showed up on time on Monday morning and was done before noon. We also included a maintenance service since we haven't done anything with the roof since the house was was built in 1997. They did find another problem with one of the flashings, which they fixed at no charge to compensate for the scheduling issues. They also found a few other things that they fixed. Everything worked out and we don't see any more leaks from the ceiling. We would definitely recommend Jonathan's company for any roof repair. read more

Kent Roofing, the best professional roofing company I ever came across. My tiled-roof happened to leak three places, I believe this was due to the tenting for the fumigation! One leak was on a complex flashing and it has to replace. My point of contact was Sam. It was a busy December incident and I got an estimate pretty fast from Sam. Sam is super expert and very keen in the customer satisfaction. The quote was competitive, by the way I took three estimations! Their crew is super professional, nice and know what they are doing. The crew took the pictures after strip the tiles and described what they found and their work plan to fix. Competed the work as promised, on time and cleaned the premises. I am extremely satisfied on their quality workmanship and the professional approach. I would recommend Kent Roofing to anyone with confidence. read more

Back in 2017, Jonathon and his team came to remedy a roof leak. I appreciated the response time, and the fix at the time. But today, we went on top of the roof to fix the Xmas lights, and surprised to find a mess of remnants of a large, framed tarp held down by ~20 concrete roof tiles still on top of the roof that we had to clean up. Pretty crappy follow thru. read more

My first impression of Jonathan Kent was a smiling friendly guy. He was my second quote and gave me a price that beat my first quote before I told him what my first quote was. I told him I was getting one more quote and he told me if I had any questions even about other quotes to just give him a call. He's always been responsive, on time, honest and an over all good person vs a lot of other companies in the construction business. I'd highly recommend him to help keep a roof over your head! read more

We had a good experience working with Kent Roofing to replace our 30-year old wood shaker roof with composite shingles. After requesting a quote online, Patrick was quick to come out and provide us with a quote, which was very reasonable compared to the others we obtained. Dave was the project manager on our home and he stopped by our home prior to the project starting to provide samples and options for our gutters and downspouts - this was very much appreciated. Dave's team of 5-6 guys (varied by day) were able to remove our old roof and replace it all within one week. On the last day, Dave was there to make sure everything was done well and that the job site was all cleaned up. During the project, there was a miscommunication issue when it came to the style of downspouts that were installed, but Jonathan Kent (the owner) was quick to have things corrected and remedied. We are extremely grateful to him for his quick response and believe his actions show the commitment that Kent Roofing has to the satisfaction of their customers. That alone makes it very easy for us to recommend them, but we are also very thrilled with how our new roof looks! The reason why I am giving them 4 stars vs 5 stars is because of the following: my husband went up to our attic above the garage about a week or so after our roof project was completed and he said it's an absolute mess up there. So much so that when he pulled down the ladder to go up, so much debris came out! He said it's going to take some time to bring down all the belongings we store up there, clean them up as well as the attic floor and bring everything back up. This was our first experience with roof replacement, so I'm not sure if this is a concern that's addressed when it comes to roof replacement. But it would be a huge value-add if roof replacement companies offered a service that took steps to not only ensure that once the project was completed, the exterior was cleaned up (which Kent did) BUT also the interior too! read more

Friendly and no nonsense roofing company. Replaced my entire roof and they were so easy to work with starting from the minute they came out for the estimate. They did a great job telling us what we needed, not what they wanted to sell us and ensured we felt comfortable with what we were purchasing, especially since the cost of a whole new roof is a large investment. They even were able to accommodate a small break due to us having to have an HVAC company come out to complete a job that we discovered wasn't done properly from a prior remodel. I would recommend them to anyone and would suggest you put them at the top of your list when you are looking for a roofing company for whatever reason. read more

Very happy we called Kent Roofing. We had a small leak and Jonathan came out the next day, quickly identified the problem, presented a couple of alternative solutions (basic fix, or more permanent), and fixed the issue. It is Dave's way of hard work and dedication that made my decision to work with Kent Roofing. What he did totally exceeded my expectations of just a free estimate of a roof leak. It just happened that Dave's big ladder was borrowed out, and my roof was kind of high to reach. He actually tried four different locations around my house. I could tell that it was too steep and not safe, when he was almost reaching the roof. So I suggested several times that it is safer to schedule another time to come back. However, Dave would not give up. He hold the ladder going around the house from place to place, and it is not an easy job for his age. Finally, he was able to get to the roof. Then I was surprised again that he stayed there for half an hour to check things so carefully, removing tiles, checking underneath, and putting them back, at different places. He honestly told me that he did not find any hard damage to the roof that could cause leaking, just a few suspected areas to improve. Also, there were issues found from the solar panel installation, and should be fixed. He told me, "If I could not find out exactly, what is the point of coming here." He also mentioned that Kent roofing is a family owned company, and he was working for Jonathan's Dad before. I went ahead with Kent roofing for the project. Jonathan was also very responsive to my messages. He scheduled the project within a week, and I could get things fixed just before the rainy season. The team was professional and worked hard. They could not finish in one day, and came back early in the morning on the next day. Now the project is done, and I feel lucky that I made the right decision to pick up Kent roofing. They are doing honest business. read more

Jonathan Kent made it happen for me. I needed a new roof contractor ASAP after my planned roofer fell through. I called his listed mobile number and he picked up. We scheduled to meet the following day. He gave me a fair quote with a great warranty later that day, and his crew was working a few days later. They did a great job. It was a not an easy job, connecting two different roof lines together with 6 large skylights. After they were done, Jonathan came by and inspected the job personally. After the first big rains recently, I found a leak on my roof. Jonathan had his guys at my home within a few hours, who found a leak in my old roof and patched it with a seal. No more leak. He said to me in a text towards the end of the project: "Roofing is my life...after the kids of course." :D. Great work, great roofer who stands by his work read more

This is the way a company should be run! I called for a quote -- Jonathan showed up and I got a quote that was in line with others I got. I gave them the go-ahead and they said they would start in a month. Three weeks later they called and said they would start one week early. They finished the job in four and a half days. The crew was friendly, efficient, hard working, and respectful. They did a great job -- I love our new roof! Now the good part: During the job the foreman told me my attic exhaust fan was broken so it was discarded. He also said I wouldn't need to replace it because they would be installing roof peak vents. A month after the job was completed I noticed our ceiling seemed to be hotter than usual. I checked the attic and found it w4r4as 105 degrees. I sent an email to Jonathan explaining the problem. I said, "If I buy a new fan, would you install it at no charge?" He said, "We'll do whatever it takes to make you happy." The crew showed up yesterday afternoon and installed my new fan! If you need a new roof, hire Kent Roofing! You won't regret it. read more

This review actually not about their work but about estimate. I call them to request estimate and we get appointment for estimator to arrive. After that I got call to reschedule and in fact we rescheduled appointment another 3 times!!! Finally estimator arrived to inspect balcony and promised estimate in 2-3 days. It is already 3 weeks, no estimate so far, I sent friendly reminder by E-mail, no reply to that e-mal either. I prefer that contractor honestly tell me that that they will not bid for a job (any reason, too busy, job is too small etc) but not disappear with promises. And it is not only them, last year I got several similar contractors and decided to start leaving feedback from now on. read more
