A friend recommended them because, in addition to doing a good job, they left her property clean. They were all that and more. Arty was very helpful throughout the process from showing us the choices we had to making sure were knew what and when they would do the next step. We had an idea of what we wanted and he showed us what was available that matched that. We had an extra vent that was needed and that was added with no problem. The list of extra charges (for wood rot, in our case) was clearly on the contract. I would recommend them without reservation. read more

Absolute perfection and work quality! Professional diligence staff kept me informed of the progress. They worked in tandem with my painters to make sure that the job came out better than expected. One of the concerns with my roof is that there was a lot of waviness due to poor craftsmanship from the builder Conrad roofing made sure to use materials and do necessary repairs to give me it better than expected result. They also replaced all the facia boards and added gutters. All of which are straight and clean. read more

I obtained several quotes and chose Conrad roofing because of their price, BBB rating and interactions with Arti and Cristian in understanding the job and finalizing the contract. During the job, Arti, Jose and Armando were easy to work with. They were flexible, patient, answered all my questions and immediately addressed things that were raised. The crews were kind and professional and cleaned up the site thoroughly every day. My house roof looks great. They also installed a sun tunnel and replaced a shed roof. read more

Conrad Roofing put in a new roof for me 6 years ago and it was a good job. I experienced a small leak from my skylight during the last major storm so, since it was covered by a 10 year warranty, I reached out for a service call. I have left 4 voice messages over the last two weeks and have had no call back. I understand there has been a change of management/ownership but I assume the warranty is still effective. Either way, it is extremely unprofessional to not respond to (4!) repeated customer service calls. I had recommended Conrad Roofing to 3 or 4 friends - but no more!!! read more

Beyond my Expectations!!! From the inception, the communication with Mr. Guzman was amazing. I reached out regarding the installation of a new roof using asphalt shingles, and right away I was given a date and time in which he could come onsite to survey the roof and measure the square foot. Mr. Guzman was very insightful, explaining the benefits and drawbacks of both 3-Tab Shingles and Architectural Shingles. After explaining the durability and lifespan of both of the shingles I decided to go with the Architectural Shingles. Mr. Guzman gave me a great quote. Once the installation began, the crew was very professional and polite. Arriving on time and cleaning up at the conclusion of each work day. I highly recommend Conrad Roofing Service; they are very insightful, professional, polite, great price and time efficient. read more

I researched roofing companies through neighbor recommendations and internet social media. There are around forty roofing companies in the Bay Area. Conrad Roofing was the answer to my search. They removed the 35-year-old wood shakes and removed all the debris. They worked hard all week replacing plywood and composite. They covered my garage contents with plastic and cleaned the area. The roof looks terrific, and I am satisfied with the value pricing. I highly recommend their company and workmanship. Christian, one of the managers, is prompt with updates. My house was built in 1910, so it's had more than a few new roofs over its life and was in dire need of a new one. I should have installed a new roof years ago, but life gets in the way. So, my new roof wasn't just about replacing shingles. Due to the amount of wood rot, it needed new plywood, new facia boards, and everything else you can think of when it comes to a roof. It is difficult to get a quote on a new roof, especially one that requires multiple disciplines in roofing, woodworking, and metalworking. I got six quotes, but the only one that gave me confidence that they could do the job was Conrad, and fortunately, I was correct in my assessment. Since I live in Naglee Park, an area of San Jose where homes were built in the early 1900s, the city regards my home as historic. That means contractors have to jump through a few more hoops than normal, which Conrad did. Conrad was upfront about when they could install the roof and updated me when the schedule had to be pushed out. That's good customer service. Also, the crew who installed my roof was top-notch. They came at exactly 7:30 AM and left at 3:30 PM after cleaning up. People walking by said they loved the roof. How often do you hear that? It's a roof! Use Conrad, and you'll undoubtedly love your roof for the next 30 years! read more

I highly recommend Conrad Roofing. I've had this company do work in the past and more recently; I and certainly appreciate their honesty. Armando Madera was out today along with worker Tino. Reroofing a house is a big task and the estimates and details can be overwhelming. Conrad made the process low stress and delivered a high quality product. Joe was always available to answer my questions about the estimate and clarify the process. Conrad's estimate was the most competitive but also included the elements I needed. In the week leading up, Cristian was very prompt with updates. The team showed up on time each day and were very attentive to keeping my property clean and neat. The workers updated me each day on the progress, coordinated all the moving pieces so I didn't have to and the project was completed within the time frame anticipated. My new roof looks fantastic. I'm thrilled the project went so smoothly. read more

This is the second roof we've had Conrad Roofing Service do (the first was on my mother's house). The team showed up when they said they would, were polite and professinal. We selected a grey roof but the installed roof looks green. They said that's how it looks and that I should have selected a different color. I'm not sure if they installed the roof that I chose. Conrad Roofing is the best. They are professional, thorough, and honest. They show up on time, do quality work, keep their customers informed of the progress of the job, and any changes to the original plan. Conrad Roofing replaced the roof at my residence last year and replaced the roof at my rental home this year. I was extremely pleased with both jobs and have highly recommended them to family and friends and will continue to do so. read more

We are very pleased with our new roof. The crew is very professional. A special shoutout to Armando for keeping us in the discussion and communication loops every step of the way. They kept the work site tidy and organized every day and did a thorough job of cleanup at the end of the project. They even cleaned out our gutter. The pricing offered by Conrad is more reasonable than that quoted by a well-known roofing company. We would highly recommend them. read more

I had Conrad reroof my house last month. They got the job done in three days and always kept the job site clean after they left everyday. Cris, Armando, and Jose are all nice and willing to discuss project details with me whenever I had questions. All my concerns were addressed quickly without any pushback. They do listen to their customers and I think that's a very important factor when hiring a contractor. I went up on my roof to check their work couple times. As far as I can tell, their craftsmanship is pretty excellent. Their price is in the mid range among all the quotes I received. Considering the quality they delivered, I definitely can say that's a fair price. Overall the project went pretty well and my new roof looks very nice. Talk to Conrad before you sign a roof contract with others :-) You can't go wrong. read more

We had a reroof performed on the entire back of the house due to damage from our Solar system. Our Solar company went of business so Poco Solar stepped in and coordinated to remove the panels so that Conrad roofing can make all the repairs. Conrad roofing did our roof 30 yrs ago and they are still outstanding. They are very well organized , on time every day and efficient and cleaned the worksite before they left. Not one nail was left on the ground. The quality of workmanship was excellent. All materials were brought in their truck with extra supplies for any unknown damage due to wood rot, You can't go wrong with hiring Conrad roofing. They are the best in the business.! I received a few bids for a new roof on our home. I went with Conrad roofing because their bid was the most competitive and Keith was very knowledgeable and kind about answering all of my questions. The require only a 1K deposit and the rest upon completion. They replaced some termite damaged wood planks and one old gutter fo a reasonable fee. I would highly recommend using this company. The 50 year roof came with a warranty and the company does a 10 year warranty as well. They also pulled the permit and gave me copies of the warranty and permit for my records. I will only be using Conrad roofing in the future. Thank you, Keith, for making the process so quick and easy! read more

Arranged for an estimate from Keith and he showed up on time, but did not want to climb up on the short ladder I used and did not even bring a ladder to look at a two story roof job and said "I am not coming down (to Mountain View) here to do a second story" and quickly left. Wish he had told me that before I drove to the job to meet him. A second roofing contractor arrived about an hour after he left. This gentleman had his own ladder and had no problem with giving me a bid for this 2 story job. read more

I needed to do an emergency replacement of a patio roof that Conrad roofing had installed several years ago. Highly recommend them. read more

Fantastic service during the review & quote, installation, and final inspection. They even installed a tv antenna for me.

My house needed a new roof. I got some recommendations from friends and also looked on Yelp. Apparently everyone shops for roofs in August, because a lot of places I called either didn't call me back or called me back but setup appointments for a few weeks off. Keith the owner called me back within the day and setup an appointment to come out in the morning to give me a quote. Everything he did was prompt and straight-forward, and he also didn't try to oversell me with installing new gutters or anything extra. I called him back on his cell phone a few days later to ask a question and he was honest and once again told me I didn't need new gutters (which other roofers had recommended, adding at least a thousand bucks to the price!). We scheduled the job and he called me the day before to tell me they could start a day early. Having a roof put on is not really pleasant; it's super noisy and messy. I was pleased they did the job really quickly, showed up when they said they would, and did clean up every day after work. They put a giant dumpster out in front of my house and put all the roof debris in there, and also taped plastic over my garage for easier cleanup. I'm very happy with my new roof and would recommend Conrad Roofing to anyone who asked. read more

I use Yelp for restaurants a lot but not the type to leave reviews normally.  However, recently I was looking for a roofing company to replace my aging roof in a single family home.  I called all the usual  suspects with the most 4/5 star ratings and had them come out for bids.  Conrad roofing didn't even show up on my search for "Best rated roofing company in Santa Clara."  Then I remember a friend had their roof replaced like 10 years ago and wasn't sure if they were still in business.  I am so glad my friend recommended Conrad roofing, it's a family owned company that's been in business for decades. Our friend found them on "Check Book" which business did not have to pay unlike Yelp.  Keith was prompt and responded to my emails and calls quickly.  The quote was not the cheapest or the most expensive.  I had questions on different types of vents, underlayment and sky-tunnel and he took care of all my concerns professionally and efficiently.  This is my forever home and I am looking for a roof that lasts.  Due to work from home/ Covid 19, and mandatory meetings from work we had to reschedule the start date and he accommodated without issue.   The crew showed up on time everyday and it took 3.5 days to complete the job since we had some dry rot repair in several areas of the house.  They installed a ridge-vent for us to help cool the house in the summer and just in time for the triple digit weekend.   The only thing is I had some clean up to do in the garage since several of the dry rot was in there and they had to cut and replace the boards.  Other than that, they cleaned up the perimeter and left it in great condition.  I would recommend Conrad Roofing to anyone who is looking to fix a leaky roof or replace an old one.  Thank you Keith and crew! read more

Keith and company were recommended by our realtor, and boy was she right! From start to finish, this was an extremely professional and carefully done job. They removed an old shake roof, repaired termite damage, and installed new Solaris shingles. They blocked up places where the old roof let in rodents. They were even very nice about working on the same site at the same time as our bathroom remodeler. At the end, the city building inspector noted that this was one of the best jobs he'd ever seen. I agree! read more

Conrad Roofing put in two roofs for me. One big and the other small. Great job all around. Fair pricing and excellent workmanship. Both roofs have gone through a couple of storms now and no leakage whatsoever. The roofs are very good looking, too (my neighbors say so). I have never bought a roof so I didnt know what to expect. The house is 110 years old with a lumpy roof and although I have spent some quality time in the attic I didnt know what might be found under a layer of old shingles over ancient cedar shakes. Removal company got it off and cleaned up real nice so I got up there to see what sort of horrors I might see. Fortunately not the termites I expected but there were a few rafters out of whack, probably from a badly done addition in the 1930s, and some overhang wood in bad shape. I expected either a major construction job would be needed to fix it, or they would just have to bend the new roof over it somehow to conform. They told me they would do what they could but my expectations were pretty low since anything meaningful would create a lot of extra work. When the OSB was down the hump was at least 80% gone which made me very happy to say the least. Roofing went on with a nice ridge vent and all new vents and flashings. Nice work, great communication... As Ethyl Merman would say, who could ask for anything more? Thanks Conrad! read more

I don't write review but I have to write this one. I spent lots of time doing research when I need to reroof my aged wood shake roof. I had so many quotes and finally I chose Conrad roofing after 1. read reviews on checkbook.org, 2. heard a very high recommendation from a local roofer, and 3. I felt comfortable after talked with Keith several times. From the beginning to the end, Keith and his crew let me feel confident for my choice and the project was finished beyond my expectation. Keith has been very accommodating to my other projects need. He is a very honest man, for the things he can do, he does it in a pleasant way, for the things he can not do, he explained to me why and gave me the name/phone for the people who can do it. It is very relaxed and pleasure to deal with him. His lead crew, Amando, is a very detailed and experienced roofer, the rest of team is also great. And the price is very reasonable. read more

Ok, on the one hand, they have been in business for over 72 years, and have an A+ rating with the BBB, and the Rep, Keith showed up on time. However, once he got up on the roof he starts telling me the design is all wrong, I need to change it, and I'm going to have problems, and he didn't want the job. Ironically another roofing company in business for over 42 years with an A+ rating with the BBB had no problem with the design and provided an estimate to do the job. You be the judge. read more

Keith (owner) was very responsive from the start. He came out within a couple of days to give a free and detailed estimate. We needed to add a 50' gutter to the back of the house, a new downspout, and perform a roof tune-up for our wood shake roof. There were some tricky solutions needed for the gutter and downspout, and Keith provided the most reasonable and feasible solution out of all the bids I obtained (about 5). He and his crew performed the work bright and early on a Friday morning and were done within 4 hours. They were clean, professional, and respectful of our property. Price for the whole job was very competitive; there were a couple of other bids that were lower, but Keith's knowledge and confidence in his work made us choose him. I would recommend Keith and Conrad Roofing again. read more

Conrad Roofing just completed our roof and did a great job. Keith the owner ( 4th Generation ) gave us competitive bid. He didn't try to up-sell on any products. We knew we wanted the Certainteed Presidential TL roof, Ridge vent. We didn't know if we needed new gutters and Keith said they were good, just needed to be tightened up to the rafter tails. He said some rafter tails might need replacing ( which I knew ). Conrad roofing installed the same roof on my parents home in 2010 & my brothers roof in 2014 and both still look as new as my roof and no issues. We all received competitive bids for the size of our roofs. Yes all quotes were different. Now folks, please educate yourself about your home. Don't just ask someone what they paid for their roof, all roofs are not the same ( how many squares you have, do you have Dutch Gables, do you need new roof decking, repairs etc) . The crew showed me the rafter tails they replaced and you could see the rot. The crew ( Armondo is the lead )were polite, cleaned up after themselves everyday, were on time everymorning and it passed inspection. I use Yelp for referrals, hope this review helps. I would hire them again if needing a roof on another property. read more
