Some jerk in a truck from this company held two of us hostage while he was waiting for a possible parking spot in the Carpos parking lot. Over 10 minutes we waited. We couldn't back up or go forward. The lady in the other car actually got out and talked to him. I started yelling that he needed to move so we could park our cars and not be blocked in. He arrogantly waived us off. Idiot!!! He looked pretty able bodied to me and there were plenty of parking spots on the street. I don't know why he had to hold up 2 other cars so he could park in this exact spot. As a business owner in Santa Cruz and Capitola I would not hire this company if they were the last roofing company on earth. Hey buddy!! I think of myself as a fairly demanding customer. And I have worked with a variety of contractors over many years on all sorts of remodels and home improvement projects. None of them were as responsive and competent as Daddario. They are outstanding at what they do. We replaced a pitched roof last month. The work included adding a new layer of insulation, new gutters, new downspouts and a new skylight. Right afterward we had torrential rains. The work was terrific -- very attractive, extremely fast, with a large, friendly, terrific crew and supported by an extremely responsive office staff. I am sure I could have had the work done for less. But any added cost was well worth it. The work could not possibly have been done better or more quickly. And even small issues along the way were handled by Daddario promptly, professionally and thoroughly. I got multiple estimates for a new roof on my house. The results varied from "we don't have the kind of skills to do that" to "sure we will do it for x amount" without even mentioning the supposedly difficult part that company 1 rejected, leaving me to doubt the thoroughness of their estimator. Daddario has good recs on Nextdoor so I called them. They sent someone out right away to do the estimate and he was very thorough; reassured me that the difficult part (a flat roof section that transitions from a slope) would be no issue. The estimate came in, it was fair and we scheduled the work. The tear-off was set for a Sunday; that crew showed up on time and completed the work in a few hours. Monday the roofers showed up right at 8am and were done by 5pm. Same on Tuesday and the job was done by 5pm. They kept me informed throughout regarding dry rot they found and repaired, etc; I had expected that so was not surprised. They closed in the 3 skylights I had requested, and did a beautiful job with that. Overall this was probably the best experience I've had on my rocky journey of keeping my house livable and doing improvements. They clearly take pride in their work; the crew was universally polite and considerate and they cleaned up after the job very thoroughly. read more

This company is a well oiled machine for re-roofing.. Said when the would arrive 7:-15-8:15 and they had a crew of 6 on the roof @ 7:15. 2 1/2 hours later they left, shingles were delivered and within an hour a new crew of 3 arrived to install the roof and make sub roof repairs leaving around 5:45 that evening. Said they would be back for final installation @8am and true to their word a crew of 3 arrived and roof completed before noon. Very professional and left the job site clean, like they were never there. Several neighbors in my community with homes smaller than mine , took 3-5 days to complete. I was dreading mine would 5 days+. Mine would have been only one day, but for 4 additional hours for sub roof repairs discovered upon roof removal. Materials arrived within hours the first day and repairs made that same day. Pricing was comparable to other bids. Recommended by both my realtor and a home inspector. Both said they were the only ones they would use and are best in the business! Long wait list, but well worth the wait! They are awesome! read more
