Just got final inspection done by city of Capitola for our new roof by redwood roofing. Capitola is known to be tough, but they gave the job a thumbs up. T.o.p. white roof is beautiful, clean and strong. A five star only company over the hill turned the job down because of additional rooms add ons meaning higher likelihood of leaks, and it's a flat roof increasing the possibility of leaks. Those guys were weak, and only concerned with perfect reviews. Redwood roofing took our tough job on, and did a great job. Always did what they said they were going to do. November 2, 2023 Update: Jordan withdrew his offer to hire his roof inspector to do another inspection. Instead he hired a subcontractor to address a few issues that were raised in the roof inspection. He told me the things the contractors did were: "They were able to straighten out some of the tiles. They also checked all of the perimeter tiles and secured them with screws."" I had them remove tiles around the chimney and resecure the flashing. Everything looked good with the flashing, but I had them add additional protection, and had it resealed. They also removed the ridge cap and sealed the peak." "They also installed two additional attic vents which will help circulate the air. I had them check around for any other maintenance items that they could find and touch those up as needed. Everything looks good. They also cleaned off some leaves and debris that had fallen on the roof. It wasn't bad." Then he asked me to give his business five stars rating and remove my complaint from BBB. However, I disagreed with his request, because the subpar quality of his work crew's workmanship and other more serious issues the roof inspector mentioned in his report which are much more difficult to fix haven't been addressed. So I'm changing my rating from one star to 2 stars. The one star improvement was due to their minimum effort to correct their mistakes. read more

The crew at Redwood Roofing was great! I was nervous going into the project due to the fact that they had to remove two roofs, very old composition over the original cedar shingle roof. They had a large crew that made the job go smoothly and quickly. The Project took several day and each evening they did a great cleanup job before leaving. The project lead, Ezequiel, was great with communicating everything that was happening and easing my nerves as well. There was some major damage to some of the eaves of the house which they repaired, even finding the house paint in the garage and painting the new wood. Also they had to remove and reinstall a gazebo-like structure that was attached to the house and they did a wonderful job with that. Everything that I was thinking I would have to do later was taken care of. Jordan, the owner of Redwood Roofing, was super easy to communicate with. I had a little delay in my funding arriving and he worked with me on that without complaint, pushing the job back a few days and adjusting his schedule to accommodate this. This is a great company! I have a little over 1,000 foot roof. My grandfather bought this house in 1955 and it really needed a new roof. Jordan's crew were on it. The first day they removed the old roof and made progress on the new one. I received a recommendation from W3 Solar Electric to have Redwood Roofing Repair take a look at my roof before solar panel installation. Jordan came to meet me and check it out.
