    Having a roof done is something that you want done right the first time. ACME roofing in morgan hill did that. From Cesar and Bernice coming out and preparing a proposal to Martin overseeing the project, they were quick, competitively priced and the work was done in 3 days from start to finish. Cesar was knowledgeable and offered me suggestions on shingles and venting. Samples were provided so I knew I was getting the right look. They pulled the permits and coordinated with the city to make sure the inspections occurred soon after they were done. Shout out to the team of laborers who did the removal and reinstallation in the Gilroy heat. You all are hard workers and awesome. Thank you ACME!

    We are having a solar system installed soon, however we were told we needed a new roof first. ACME came out and in a matter of an hour or so did a complete tear-off. They left almost no trace behind. The crew was very respectful and greeted me before starting the job (It's nice to speak Spanish ;). The roof was installed within the nex few days as planned. The overall quality of the roof looks amazing. We are very pleased and would recommend ACME to everyone. Leo, Hector and Martin are very professional and were excellent to work with.

    New roof and vents

    We had a full roof replacement (from cedar to composite). Acme needed to complete a full plywood sheath before the new shingles were added. They replaced all the vents. They also provided new gutter guards throughout. The price was very fair compared to competitor bids. Everyone on the team was pleasant and easy to work with. They provided shingle samples in advance so we could make an informed choice. Martin answered my questions promptly and, when I identified a small problem, got it fixed the same day. The crew were good at cleaning up, just a few stray nails remained in our back yard.

    I'm writing an edit to my April review and going from 5 stars to 1 star. After my solar panels were installed in March, I decided to install a whole house fan. Prior to installation, I needed air vents installed. A roofer installed the air vents and notified me that over 60 of my concrete tiles were cracked. I notified Acme Roofing of the broken tiles and was told that I signed off on the work. I sent pictures of the work they had sent in April with the cracked tiles. Attached are all the 80 tiles that needed replacing stacked in piles and the foto that was sent to me from Acme in April Lesson learned - go up on the roof and inspect for yourself.

    I contacted several roofing companies through Yelp, and Acme was the only one that came back with a quote. Another company thought the job was too small and referred me to a second contractor who proceeded to tell me that he's not comfortable working on a metal roof. That doesn't inspire confidence. In any case, the quote for the job of installing two roof turbine was reasonable and they could start immediately. The front office and scheduler is very nice and prompt. However, I'm going to take one star off for the fact that the installer missed his scheduled window and I had to call the owner to check on the whereabout of the installer. I think if they can fix the scheduling issue or at least contact the customer to let them know they will be late, they would definitely improve their customer service. There was a slight issue with one of the turbine that I discovered was dented and was spinning wobbly, thus made noise when it spun. The installer should've noticed that and inform me if I want it fixed. I only discovered this after the fact when I checked on it after hearing noise. This is not the fault of the company but more a reflection of the lack of attention of detail from the worker. To their credit, when I contacted them, it was promptly rectified. I appreciate the prompt response and quick action to fix the issue. In the future, proactive action to ensure the job is perfect would endear a lot of goodwill from the customer. Nevertheless, I did not put this against them because not every install is perfect and stuff happens, but the response to issue is what counts. They did a great job rectifying the issue so I commend them on this. Until there's rain, it will be difficult to check for leaks but I assume there won't be any problem. I will update this review if there's any issue. I think Acme is a five star roofing company as long as they fix a few attention to detail issues. I would definitely use them again if I need repairs or modifications to my roof.

    This company does not work with insurance companies. Won't even come out to provide me with a quote for a roof repair.

Our 30 year old concrete tile roof was at end of life, and a constant source of stress when it rained. Asked for a quote to replace with architectural shingles as a good match to our solar panels, and received a very detailed quote, clearly explaining several possible options. They were able to work around the solar de-installation schedule without any issues. The crew was motivated, skilled, very experienced, and showed up exactly on time, every day. The job site was maintained in a clean and safe manner at all times, and the quality of the work -- absolutely outstanding. Excellent value for the money in my opinion; a quality product, well installed. True-up at the end of the job was detailed, clear, and under budget. Strongly recommend this company.

More worried about getting the job done fast and not doing the proper steps to prevent danger. My six-year-old daughter put one through her foot and put her in the emergency room. I brought this to the owner's attention and all I got was a sorry text. Worst part is I warned him one week prior that there was excessive nails that we've been picking up and he claims he came by and did another sweep. All they had to do was lay tarps or plastic down to prevent this. Or don't do the job so fast and be sloppy and just throw everything off the roof in every direction. Or maybe have the owner actually be on site when his workers are working and prevent situation situations like.

I don't know why he had to hold up 2 other cars so he could park in this exact spot. "Quality Roofing" Workmanship Warranty from the company and 2. The manufacture's - "CertainTeed Warranty" with Business Owner's signature. They are both standard warranties for any customers to get without asking from a roof company when the roof project is done. It is also very frustrating that after asking the company - "Quality Roofing" more than one month, the company is not able to provide me both warranties. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: Although so far I still didn't receive both warranties from the company - Quality Roofing Top (formerly Quality Roofing), I want to recognize their roof job by adding more stars after the test of a series of winter storms.

The issues began early on. We were collecting quotes from multiple vendors to replace our roof, and Steve's quote came in somewhere in the middle. However, it was just a one-page estimate with minimal details. We asked him to clarify the specific roofing terminologies and helped us understand what those means in plain English, which he did, and he brought over some samples when we met on June 11, 2025. We appreciated that meeting, and we told him we needed the weekend to think it over. That's when the pressure began. He insisted we had to sign the contract that same evening -- no time to think. "If you don't sign today," he said, "the price will go up." It was around 5:00 or 5:30 p.m. -- my husband had just returned from work to meet him. I felt uncomfortable with how pushy he was, and told my husband we should wait. Unfortunately, my husband gave in and signed under pressure. Before signing, we also noticed the contract listed the installation date as August 18, 2025, which felt really far out. We particularly called out and asked about it, and Steve assured us the installation can be sooner. "Don't worry about it- once you get HOA approval, we'll get started earlier. I wanted the work done earlier too while the weather was still cool," he said. Because we have multiple home improvement projects to manage, starting the roofing project after getting HOA approval is one key element to sign the pricing quote. There many vendors available in the market, if he had been upfront about the real timeline, we would not sign the quote at all that night. We got our HOA approval the very next day and informed Steve immediately -- he sounded surprised we moved so quickly. Per HOA requirements, we scheduled a short walkthrough, which he did (about 15-30 minutes). But when we called to confirm the installation, everything changed. Suddenly, he was cold, rude, and borderline hostile. He raised his voice, telling us there was no way installation could happen sooner than six weeks. He said we should "learn a lesson" about trusting verbal agreements, and that what we signed -with the August 18 date -- was legally binding. Then a woman shouted in the background that it was his birthday - and he hung up on us mid-call. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable trusting him and wanted to hand our roof project to Steve. We couldn't stop worrying what would happened if he or his team opened up our roof... Can you imagine? The lack of professionalism, the bullying tone, the broken promises - it was too much. There was no service provided yet -just a quote, no formal service contract, no permit applications. We called to explain we no longer wanted to proceed a week later after carefully thought about his behavior and attitude. This time, Steve showed his consistent "customer service"-he cut my husband off before he even finished talking and said, "This is a legally binding contract. You call your lawyer, and I'll call mine." We were stunned-never experienced this kind of vendor in my life. What a lesson to learn. At this point, we stopped hoping he could have any customer orientated mind set and he proved out to us, he only looks out for his interest instead of collaboration or mutual interests. We sent a formal written notice stating that we were canceling the project. Then came the final blow -- Steve demanded $2,000 from us. For what? For no work done, and no contractually agreed services? Looking back, we wish we had trusted our instincts and not allowed ourselves to be pressured into signing that evening. We also wish we had known about the 3-day cooling-off period for home improvement contracts -- something Steve never disclosed to us. Please learn from our mistake: * Do not give in to high-pressure tactics. * Insist on clear, honest communication. * Know your consumer rights. * And most importantly -- trust your gut. Be careful! Stay away!
