I first reached out to Maxton Builders when I was looking at adding on a second story to my house. Turns out my small, old house was not a good candidate for adding on, and I appreciated owner Valentin's honest opinion about that. Maxton Builders had recently built my parent's house in East Sacramento from the ground up, so I was familiar with their work. We held off on our home remodel and instead opened a retail nursery in a recently-closed tire shop. I got bids from three contractors, including Maxton Builders. The tire shop was an absolute mess. It needed a huge cleanup, demolition of a large trailer, new windows, paint, wall repair, and construction of sheds, nursery benches, electrical work, and a cash wrap. I was on a limited startup budget, and am leasing the property, and Maxton Builders worked within my budget. For the commercial remodel, Maxton Builders' bid was competitive. Compared to the other contractors, what I liked most was Valentin's "can do" attitude. Once I accepted his bid, the work started right away. I recently reached out to them again for help with construction of four large garden center shade structure kits. We needed to be ready right when the freight company arrived, and Valentin sent two of his subs over right away to help unload the heavy steel structures, and came by to check on the job. It's nice to know a quality contractor who builds and remodels homes, but is also willing to help with smaller jobs when needed. I have a few more light commercial projects I'd like them to bid on, and if we do end up remodeling a home or building a home from the ground up, I wouldn't hesitate to call Maxton Builders. read more

If you've lived in an old house for over 20 years, you know how frustrating it can be to deal with plumbing issues. When multiple plumbers and even the local sewer company told me that my main pipe was no longer any good because of roots and collapsing, i knew it was time to take action. I decided to get at least three quotes for the job, and even looked into the trench-less method and completely digging up the old pipe and replacing it. Fortunately, my parents recommended Valentin, the contractor who built their beautiful house in East Sacramento. I gave him a call and he immediately scheduled a time to come out and assess the job. Maxton Builders did a great job! I had an insurance claim for major sewer water damage that destroyed a good portion of my house. They came and did the build back portion and did an excellent job. They were courteous, showed up on time, cleaned up after each day, and the work itself looks fabulous. We had a really horrible experience with the previous contractor that started our project, and just left it in the middle due to workers problem. We were so lost that we didn't know what to do. When we were referred to Maxton Builders, we really hoped for at least a better experience. Now that our project is finished, all we can say is that it was amazing and we are extremely happy!! Maxton Builders really knows what they are doing, they took over the project, listened to our original ideas and vision and stepped in right away to do it the right way! Our master bathroom and kitchen started to take shape very fast and they went above and beyond their promises just to please us and to deliver what we wanted. Kitchen Remodel Jan-Mar 2014 I took advantage of an Angie's List offer for a kitchen design consultation with Maxton Builders beginning in Sept 2013. Valentin Razumovsky arrived at my house as scheduled and we began are discussions about what I wanted accomplished. Valentin provided some links to the cabinet makers he uses and asked me to select a couple of different designs for him to give me a price quote on. A short time later we meet again to go over the proposed concept and his price quote. I liked the design and cost and we agreed to proceed with the remodel. Although it was a kitchen remodel it actually involved a large portion of the house with new matching flooring in the kitchen, family room, living room and hallway all with new baseboard and crown molding. The crew sent from Maxton Builders was very professional and courteous and always arrived when they said they would be there. Over the next few weeks my kitchen was completely demo'd and rebuilding process began. The crew worked steadily to rebuild my home to the new design. The quality of the cabinets was great as well as the granite counter top, which had to be manufactured from a large slab versus the prefab counter top material per Valentin's direction. The finished work looks outstanding and those who have come by to see it have commented how great the finished work looks. Throughout the process Valentin was extremely helpful with suggestions to places to shop and giving his opinion when asked which I found very useful. As with any remodel some issues did arise and when they did they were dealt with quickly and to my satisfaction. Having gone through the whole process from beginning to end with Maxton Builders, I would not hesitate to call on them again for any work on my home.
